I'm so surprised at the bad reviews. I enjoyed this place when it was Table 28 and love it more now. We always have a great experience. The tomato and mozzarella salad is amazing. I ordered on to share with the family and then had another brought for my lunch.
Have also gone down int he evening with for a drink. Be prepared, the crowd is cool but it is the cougars going in and going out. I will still go down there when I want to chill.
A beautiful waterfront setting with indoor and outdoor seating.  Contrary to other reviews, I found the service staff and bartender very helpful.  I came for a conference but was unaware it had been cancelled. The staff was still able to seat me and were super friendly.  Same with the bartender. The menu is a nice mix of seafood and Italian dishes.  I had the Fusion Wings appetizer (big meaty wings in an awesome Italian-Asian sauce, drizzled with an optional ribbon of  wasabi cream).  The housemade gnocchi is just like I had in Italy.  Spotless restaurant and bathrooms. Plenty of free parking.  I will be back again and again.
Review Source:I went here for a friend's birthday celebration last weekend and was pretty underwhelmed. For such a beautiful location, restaurants just can't seem to get it right here as they keep closing and reopening under new names/ownership. I would imagine this place will follow the same pattern. Â The only reason this place is busy is because of the location. It's a great spot along the water without driving all the way down to the Narragansett or Newport area. Â Okay...onto the review. Â We got there around 8:30 for dinner. We were a party of 5 and were sat pretty promptly at a beautiful table right next to the water despite a hectic and disorganized hostess. Â Our waiter also seemed overwhelmed by how busy it was and service was just okay. Â Drink menu was good, although the execution of the drinks was mediocre as my martini wasn't cold and frothy like a good martini should be! Sangria as well was just okay. Â I really disliked that all of their entrees came with a sad looking little baked potato, 1/4 ear of corn and steamed broccoli. Those have to be the three easiest and univentive sides you could pair with a $25+ entree. They also had three chowder options (New England, Clear or Crab & Corn). I ordered the New England and it was pretty much clear. I asked the waiter if we got the right chowder and he said that their "creamy" New England had just a "splash" of cream. Okay fine. Maybe that's a personal preference, but I wasn't happy with my brothy chowder. My caesar salad was way overdressed as well. I hate when a salad is saturated in dressing. Clam cakes were fantastic however. Crispy and hot! My friend's fish looked good however and so did the chicken foccacia sandwich another friend was eating. So overall some things were better than others, but not good enough to return to in my opinion.
Review Source:This location is cursed. Â For such a wonderful location, restaurants here are always closing and reopening. Â Not much has changed, fantastic views, good drinks, and spotty food and service.
I wouldn't call this location upscale, but it's too nice of a location and a price-point were staff should be wearing shorts and a t-shirt (especially if your waiter is a middle-aged guy with hairy legs). Â Our waiter showed up with food on his hands (bad sign) to take drink orders. Â Appetizer raw bar was very good but our dinner arrived late. Waiter did not write anything down so of course forgot my wife's order after returning 20 minutes later. Three of us got our dish at the same time but my friend had to wait an additional 10-15 min for his. Â Waiter apologized but quickly ran off as usual, as if he was slammed with orders. Â He never asked if everything was ok or if we needed refills on drinks. Â I actually had to stop him from running off to ask my table if they wanted another drink. Â I had to do this twice.

To begin with, if Yelp had an option for 0 star, this place would have gotten a ZERO!! Â
it doesn't deserve a full star). Â The retaurant is situated nicely along the river so that was a nice bonus. Â They had live entertainment on the Saturday evening that we went. Â The name of the band is Malloi to which brought patrons in. Â They do not do reservations for any parties...only parties of 6 or more. Â So expect a wait time of over an hour. Â We waited 1 1/2 hour to be seated. Â The place was unorganized...or perhaps the management staff is simply all over the place. Â Â Im not sure if the manager there is the owner, but she was brutally mean to her waitstaff & the front hostess. Â The hostesses do not get paid a 6 figure salary, and they did a tremendous job nontheless. Â The bar was pretty with great selection, you get your money's worth as the drinks were not watered down. Â
PROS.....
#1: Bartenders were friendly & were quick to bring out drinks - they were attentive
#2: Front staff (Hostesses were friendly and accomodating). Â Despite the long wait, they took our cell phone number down & called us when the table was ready. Â IF the manager was there at the front desk with the girls, she's an eye sore to the place. Â She wasn't nice & made the welcoming a little disturbing to see her yell at the girls in front of customers. Â NOTE TO MANAGMENT STAFF: please hire only ones who will smile to work the front desk. Â Not one who will YELL at their staff!!! Â totally lame! Â
CONS.....
#1 long wait time
#2 horrible manager who yells at staff. Â A manager who is unkind to their staff leads me to believe she is not passionate of her job, nor to the customers. Â During my 3 - 4 hours there, she yelled at the staff constantly. Â It's unprofessional....and careless. Â Â IF she is that mad....mmmm...i wonder if something was to drop on the floor, it will be back on the plate..
#3: kitchen staff needs to be more organized or a better executive chef. Â The food order took over an 1 1/2. Â (NOTE - we were already waiting 1 1/2 hours to be seated & then to wait longer...) Â What a waste of time!!!!!!!!!!
#4: SAVE YOUR MONEY & TIME GO ELSEWHERE NEAR THE WATER.
Overall, this place sucks! Â Enough said!
First thing I can say about this place is it is in a beautiful location, and looking out onto the water makes your dining experience that much better. I ordered a mango margarita here which was frozen, and didn't have too much flavor, so afterwards switched to a beer which I knew I couldn't go wrong with. Our waiter was informative, and could answer all questions I had about the menu. The menu itself met my needs as I was looking for a simple seafood dinner. Not much besides that on the menu caught my eye. I ordered the grilled swordfish which came with a baked potato, corn and broccoli. I thought that it was a good portion of food. The swordfish was awesome and really fresh, the highlight of my dinner there. The veggies were good as well, but i thought the baked potato was a little dry. All together, it was a nice dinner for the night. Worth a try.
Review Source:happy 4th of july! my friend and i escaped the narragansett traffic and decided to head to the waterfront for drinks and fireworks! there was no official showing but there was plenty all around the sky to see!
our servers name was kevin (yes i finally remembered!). he was awesome and accommodating and knew a lot about the menu. we started with drinks of course! i believe the name of my drink was an E.G. punch but i'm not too sure. it was fruity, strong, and delicious so thats all that mattered. my friend got some sort of grape mohito which was to die for. he ended up ordering three of them!
there was a live band playing and they were very good, but it was a little difficult to make any sort of conversation. luckily they didnt play too late.
anyways we werent planning on getting food but one look at the menu and we had to! we started with the spinach salad with peaches and blueberries. HELLO FRESH! it was so good, we ate every single bite! for dinner i had the gnocchis and my friend had the crab raviolis.
i believe this place is only open for the summer and is always advertised on the radio. get there while you can!
Came by for drinks after eating dinner at 20 Water Street.
We were attracted to the new restaurant, band and people dancing. Six of us sat down at a table and waited. Not a single person approached us. Many walked by but they all seemed to look anywhere but our table. At one point I heard the table behind yelling for a waitress to please get him his check and I thought, that's not a good sign.
I'd love to come back some time for food but there wasn't anything about this experience that appealed to me. I thought the place looked dirty. It was very smoky.
We were extremely disappointed in this new restaurant on the water in East Greenwich. We ordered drinks first, I tried the spiked ice tea and although the bottle was chilled, it was served in a glass with no ice. Later we had to ask for water as well. For appetizers we ordered Romaine Raps, lettuce leaves filled with barbequed chicken chunks, they were just okay. We decided to order pizza that was topped with cheese, sausage, and spinach. The pizza was only fair and in RI with so many great pizza places, I wouldn't order it again. The view of the boats in the harbor was nice but the overpowering smell of gasoline from the engines forced us to leave. I don't think this place will last especially with this menu. Oh yeah, it was quite pricey as well. I don't usually complain but in this economy.........spend your hard earned cash where it's worth it.
Review Source:I was surprised that Table 28 changed to Nautika; I thought they did solid business. We had already parked before we noticed the change and decided to give it a try.
Now, I don't like any seafood whatsoever, but recently I've been able to tolerate calamari. Here I tried it and I was pleasantly surprised. A homemade tasting tomato sauce to dip and slivers of fried vegetable (zucchini? apple? cucumber?) adorned the calamari, which was not unpleasantly fishy or rubbery.
I had a burger dinner which was huge! The patty was easily two inches thick. Toppings were simple - just lettuce and three slices or tomato. Fries were standard fast food fries.
It was a Thursday night and the band was a little loud. We were behind a partition on a booth and about three tables deep from it but it became too loud to talk. For being outdoors, that's fairly loud.
Our server was excellent and kept checking-in at the right intervals. There was a good 20 minutes between the appetizer and arrival of entrees but it was certainly packed.
I think despite the change, this will still be a classier place than Harborside to sit on the deck with some drinks and admire the harbor.
Like the others, I'm smack dab in the middle. Great view, nice band on a Sunday. Stuck to safe orders and they were good- not "OMG, you MUST TRY THIS! " nor were they "I wonder how long they have been under the heat lamp?"
Just ok.
I too had excellent server- very attentive, checking on meals,'temperature, etc. She was working 4-5 tables at once and didn't falter.
What I did notice of the staff was those who were not busy, just stood around and did nothing to help. Run some food damnit! Don't let my drink die on the bar while you talk about t-shirt time !
And the hostess. Words cannot describe this one( or better yet, hand signals). Walking up to stand, she is too busy chatting with staff to say hello or even acknowledge that maybe i'd like a friggin' table. When asked about a kids menu, she shrugs and states- no I don't think we have that. (server immediately corrects her- they do). Then seats a party of 9 at a table thats been reserved for someone else. Look- I get the whole " cute girl as you walk in" concept, but basic abilities in customer service are kind of important.
So, much like the two previous names on the sign, I will keep this incarnation  as: "the place to grab a drink for the view before going elsewhere for dinner" restaurant.
If there was an option for ZERO stars I would have most certainly chosen that. We originally went down to East Greenwich for Harborside but decided last minute after hearing music to see what was going on at Nautika. The bar and bartenders were very nice, the servers on the other hand were not.
From the get-go the hostess seemed clueless on how to do her job. I could write a 5 page story on all the things I found offensive with our server, Sarah. I work in a restaurant and there aren't enough words to describe how rude and uptight she was towards us. I would forgive her if she was having a bad day... but I think she just had a stick up her ass and thought she was a gift from God. She was not. Next time I'll be going to Harborside.
Wish I could give 2.5 stars for this one, as it was pretty much middle of the road - some plusses, some minuses - all adding up to a so-so experience...nothing to write home about either way...
Not much has changed since it was Hemminway's for about 15 minutes last year - same decor, new sign, different menu
The pros:
- great wait staff - very attentive, zero screwups with anything our party of nine ordered - i actually give our server credit, as we were a big handful...they happily cut and served a birthday cake that we brought in
- semi-adventurous menu - they try and put an italian twist on standard seafood fare, some hits and some misses, but overall, an A for effort - the little clam cakes were an appetizer highlight for everyone
- bartenders - had a drink downstairs before the rest of our party arrived, and i commented to my wife about how solid out bartender was - can't remember his name, but he was maybe hawaiian looking (??), so you'd know him if you saw him behind the bar...asked my wife is she wanted a sidecar of rocks for her martini...friendly but not pushy...both signs of a good bartender
The cons:
- semi-adventurous menu - what was a plus is also a minus - no white chowder 'round these parts is some sort of infraction, no? clear chowder with a twist? no thanks. Food quality was sometimes so-so as well - the tuna steak was mediocre and dry, the filet that came with the surf and turf was 1/2" thick (?!), and the calamari appetizer was somewhat undercooked, which all leads to...
- the price - not that Nautika is overly expensive, but for the price I'm paying, I expect better - paying $27-$30 for an entree? I want to be wowed into coming back, as I can get just as good elsewhere in EG or RI for the same or a better price, all which leads me to...
- the confusing atmosphere - if I'm paying $30 for an entree, let's not have the staff wear t-shirts, shorts and sneakers...
And as some others have commented, the bar seems to be straight out of Cougartown...fairly creepy, somewhat sad...
So overall, another restauranteur takes a shot at the Table 28 spot...not sure if this one will stick...maybe we need something different down there - Caribbean, Baja California, upscale clam shack - ?? - something, anything, that makes me say "wow, we need to come here more often!"...
We've been twice, once for dinner a few weeks ago, and then this past weekend for drinks at the outdoor bar. Â For dinner, we sat inside/upstairs and had a good time. Â Our server was young and seemed new at his craft, but it wasn't crowded and the service was otherwise efficient and didn't lack in anything. Â My wife had a scallops dish and I had the pan-fried crab cake; both dishes were good and seemed reasonably priced, but I honestly just had trouble remembering what we had, so that says something I guess.
When we went to the outdoor bar this weekend, it wasn't super crowded so were able to find seats at the bar relatively quickly. Â There was live music which was good, just really really loud, so it was difficult to have a conversation. Â The crowd seemed kind of older, lots of cougars on the prowl, which this location seems to attract.
Overall, it's not bad, just another iteration of the EG waterfront scene at this place. Â The atmosphere is definitely casual with the staff in t-shirts and shorts. Â We'll most likely be back as it's close, it's by the water, and it's got booze. Â I'm just wondering if it'll go belly up like every other place that's tried to make it here.
