Great place for cheap drinks, bar food, and plenty of TV's.
Continuing along the line of most reviews I've read, this place is exactly what it claims to be; for that, it deserves credit. The $5 pitchers, burgers, pool tables, and numerous TV's make this a great place to enjoy a pretty low-key night. Don't go into No Frills expecting some sort of night club or restaurant, because you will be disappointed.
Staff is friendly, food is tasty, and the beer is cold and cheap. The smoke could be a problem for someone who is not used to it, but not unbearable. I have been numerous times, and will continue to go. Nice establishment.
This place has some of the best burgers I have ever had. Â The burgers are 5 star for sure. Â Everything on the menu is pretty cheap but it is pretty hit and miss whether it good or not. Â The TV's are out dated. Â Quite a few of the old tube TV's and not very many huge screens. Â The place is very smokey even the non-smoking side.

Review Source:Reading the reviews, I am reminded just how smoky this place is.....during my last visit (last summer) there was no such thing as a non-smoking side....meaning, while no-one may have been smoking on the non-smoking side, enough smoke was billowing over from the smoking bar to compensate.....but it is amazing how much we have changed as a society, when in the past all bars and lounges were just that, a place where people went to drink and smoke and socialize!!! Â
Will say the service was attentive and friendly....
If you are OK with a smoking bar, food is not bad, and beer is cold....but you need to really enjoy your smoke to enjoy No Frills!!! Â Pass, but thanks.
No frills is an excellent description for this place. If you want a half way decent hole in the wall watering hole, this place is it. And I'm not saying that in a bad way, the scene is decent, the drinks are DIRT CHEAP, and the service is good. We went on a Saturday night, the "smoking" side was pretty busy. This place is kind of like a sports / biker bar, awesome 80's hair metal playing the night we went. If you need to get out for a beer and don't want to pay "retail" (think Chili's / Fridays) prices, this is your place to go. Being "no frills" is not a bad thing!

Â For a non-smoker, this place is torture (2/4 of my friends smoke) but for a smoker...this is your thang!!! Â My friends being from Cali, they loved No Frills. Â "Whaaaaat??! Â You get to smoke inside?!"
I don't know how much the drinks were but I heard they were cheap.
Service was good. Â The waiter was really attentive. Â Our mugs were always full of Shiner or Blue Moon. Â :)
A really mixed group of people in these parts. Â DEFINITELY interesting and certainly not what I am used to...but that's not a bad thing. Â It was just different.
Good atmosphere. Â Definitely no frills. Â Just drink, watch your sport and shoot some dang pool!
I visited a few weeks ago to watch Colt McCoy's first start for the Cleveland Browns. As a diehard Longhorn fan I could not miss it. No Frills has a bar and a separate dining room. I headed to the bar.
What a great place to spend an NFL Sunday afternoon! Every game is on, and they have a diagram at the front door showing which game is on what TV. The crowd was friendly, and offered some friendly ribbing as I was the only person who showed up to watch the Browns. "I'm not watching the Browns," says I, "I am watching Colt McCoy."
The company was great, the beer was cold and cheap, and the buffalo wings were some of the best I have had in a long time. Yes, my clothes smelled like smoke when I got home, but I didn't care. I got to see Colt's first start!
This place is great!
Me and a friend sat in the non-smoking side. There were at least two dozen televisions, including four big screens, showing all the sports available at 9pm on a Thursday. This includes the Thursday NFL game on the NFL Channel.
The place was fairly busy with a couple dozen people. It didn't matter; the server was greating us at our table within moments of us taking a seat. She was friendly and fun right from the start.
The food was great! Two appetizers, a queso burger and bacon cheeseburger, plus many beers and some...um...several shots. Great beer selection and they have some unusual shots choices, such as chocolate cake shot and silk panties.
Honest, that's the name of the shot.
The menu has a lot of seafood dishes; more than most sports bars I've been. I really wish I had tried their wings.
The place has BuzzTime triva, game room, pool tables, and video games all in a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
This is DEFINITELY a place to grab a bite to eat when you're in a fun mood.
