Noble Savage Tavern

I am a fan of their food, music, and selection of beer and liquor. Lately, the service has been on the decline. This has caused my visits to be less frequent, but I wil still get a hankering for the carnivore pizza every now and again. I recommend everything on the menu, but moreso the muffaletta and any of the pizzas. If friends were visiting and wanted a really great, relaxing place to meet up and have drinks and great food, I would most definitely take them here.

Seemingly anything I could want in a bar--a dark, comfortable atmosphere and a gigantic American flag, exposed brick and timbers. But never have I had a truly good time there--the bar is quite narrow and actually getting a drink is painful and difficult as crossing the broad majestic Shannon. The food is decent, but I don't go to bars to eat: I go to forget. When bands play they are often good, or good enough--a couple of dads and dentists pretending to be Booker T & The MGs--but their loudnesses are often overpowering. And so you go into the other side of the bar, where there are darts and dictionaries waiting to fall from high shelves, and you wait to eventually leave. There is always always some asshole with the world's smelliest cigar there, and once I saw a man who looked like he used to play drums in the E Street Band.

Excellent food and a decent beverage selection. Awesome environment.
