First of all, unlike another reviewer said, it is not 10 minutes north of Jenner. Â It is much further than that and past Fort Ross. Â Just keep going north until you start to see all the Ocean Cove stuff, and it will be on your right. Â We thought we were lost, very little cell service for Verizon and non existent on AT&T.
Very basic menu. Â I got the cod tacos which were good, my girlfriend got the mussel special that was on the board and was disappointed. Â The board said it came with shallots and tomatoes but it didn't..When asked they said it was in the broth...which I'm pretty sure they were making up to save face....She also felt very sick after we left so I'm a bit suspicious. Â It was a bit slow on a Sunday night but still was disappointed here.
Don't get me wrong, the view is spectacular, although the sun sets too far north to see the sunset. Â Had a few $3 Budweisers ($5 for nicer bottles and $6 for their beer on tap which was I think Lagunitas IPA?)
what a wonderful local bar and restaurant! Â we just had dinner there tonight and found the service and food to be excellent. Â the staff was very friendly and accommodating and the food very comforting. Â we went with the selections that were mentioned on other yelpers reviews. Â the clam chowder was rich and creamy and the calamari strips were thick and succulent. Â my wife had the salmon penne piccata and i had the salmon fish and chips. Â the fish was juicy and not over battered and the pasta was al dente with a creamy sauce. Â
if you are in the area and looking for a comfortable, homey restaurant, i highly recommend this place.
