Second visit. Â First time around about 6 weeks ago. Â Food terrible. Â If an Irish pub cannot make a Reuben you know it's bad! Â This time, no better. Â Wait staff very friendly but did not have knowledge of the menu or even specials but did offer the special. Â Ordered unsweet tea. Â It was sour. Â Ordered club sandwich request whole wheat toast server returned to say they had no wheat bread so I chose rye. Â Sister ordered the special, Steak Fajitas. Â Very bad. Only a few onions and 1 piece of pepper. Â Shredded cheese had a moldy taste. Â Southwest potatoes the side were too spicy to eat. Â My sister. Did inquire at ordering per server lightly spiced fried potatoes. Â Not! Â My Club sandwich was supposed to be ham, turkey. Bacon, lettuce, tomato, Monterrey Jack and cheddar cheese. Â Sounded good... I got ham turkey lettuce tomato and Swiss. Â I requested the bacon be added my plate returned sandwich not even taken apart to fix just about to 1/2 of a strip was shoved in the back. Â Fries were too salty to eat. Â This was at lunch time not busy at all but our meals took over 30 minutes and my sister's was cold. Â We gave them a second chance because they have not been open more than a few months at the first visit. Â Another 15.00 (a lot for lunch) including a 2.00 tip same price for my sister, a waste of too much time and too much money. Â Want a good Irish pub? Â Stick with McGuire's. Â Always good and less expensive.
Review Source:Not sure why some of these reviews claimed "good prices" and/or "good value". If referring to the bar, yes. The only reason we give this place 3 stars is because of their drink prices ($3.50 wells and a decent $5.50 Bloody Mary).
We started with the spinach artichoke dip. It was watery and the amount of spinach in it made it taste strangely like dirt. There was no artichoke in it and for $8.50, it was a big disappointment.
We had the fish n chips and chicken tenders for entrees. The chicken tenders were way over-cooked and the fish was mediocre and very greasy. The fries were ok and the portions were pretty generous but the good quality was not worth having the extra.
Our server was the bartender and in agreement with other reviewers, the service was good. She was upbeat and sweet which helped our large bill for lacking food a little bit easier to stomach.
We will probably only come back for drinks.
Been here a few times and glad to have another quality restaurant in Navarre thats not Asian or a pizza joint. Â We started with the reuben eggrolls which were good and fresh and our table had several varieties of sandwiches. All were very good and meat was piled high. Â Decent choices of beers. Â We own a business in Navarre and will be recommending O'connors to our guests when they ask. Â Service, like most, has improved with time.
Review Source:Went on recommendations. SUCKED!!! Â One of the biggest disappointments, ever.
The menu was confusing to me - Asian, American, Irish?
Salad was brown and dried up - like OBVIOUSLY, too. Â Salsa was 'turned' and awful. Â Sauce on ribs was overly sweet and not BBQ tasty, very thick and pasty. Â The ribs were cooked okay. Â The bean soup was so salty - totally inedible. Â Husband had meatloaf and it tasted how cardboard smells. Â Mixed veggies were microwaved - hot and hard.
The service was pretty good and I should have complained about food, but honestly we were so tired and hungry, we just wanted to eat something and go home.... Â I didn't feel like arguing.... Â Not worth it.
I came here for lunch with my girlfriend. we didn't expect much. it's a new business and it's also just a pub... or so we though. this place has outstanding food, the taste, the presentation, it's great. their bartender isn't very fast, but maybe she's learning and i'm sure that will speed up in time. she was still very friendly and it was a great experience. i'll be going back again.
Review Source:Navarre needed a Irish pub so we were happy when it opened. Â One of the few places you can grab a point of Guinness. Â The bar was busy on a Sunday night. Â Our waiter Matt was very good and the food was delicious. Â I had the ribeye and my wife had the buffalo chicken sandwich. Â Both were very good with decent sizes but not overly large like some places. Â Brett the owner also came over to ensure our dinner meet our expectations. Â We will definitely dine here again. Â The menu has a nice variety with steak, seafood, burgers & sandwiches as well as Irish favorites like shepherds pie, and corn beef and cabbage.
