Went here a few weeks ago prior to going to a concert at White River. Â Our server was friendly and on top of her game (Her name was possibly Jessica?), my BF and I both ordered sandwiches which were both fabulous. Â He had beer and he was really excited about their tap list and the beers he tried. Â I think our bill was $30-$40 after 2 lunches, I had tea and he had probably 3-4 beers plus a shot. Â We did happen to hit happy hour, but everything about this place was fantastic. Â We will be back!!
Review Source:My husband and I are new to the Washington state and what we enjoy is trying out the local eatery's and noticed Odd Fellas after having breakfast across the street. So last night we thought about trying it out. Â I am a fan the staff was friendly the place was clean and I had the BEST Fish and chips that I have ever had. Â I recommend this place highly.
Review Source:I had to update my review after two subsequent visits. 1st of the 2 visits: One person in our party ordered a beer sampler. He chose his 4 beers but one of the beers wasn't available. So instead of asking if the customer wanted a different beer, the waitress/bar substituted it with a cider. Kind of strange since some people don't like ciders and when you're paying for the drink. 2nd of the 2 visits: Ordered a beer. After drinking about 1/2 of it, noticed there was dried on food stuck to the inside of the pint glass. Mentioned it to the waitress, just so they knew they had dirty glasses. I was told they would swap out the remaining 1/2 glass of beer with a fresh 1/2 glass but they couldn't give me a full glass since I had already consumed 1/2. That left a bad taste in my mouth (no pun intended). I wasn't asking for a free beer but the fact they mentioned the 1/2 glass thing was just sketchy customer service and kind of cheap. My experience during these two visits is why I won't go back.
Review Source:Went here for breakfast one Saturday. Â I thought it was good but nothing special. Â
-The service and atmosphere is great.
-Eggs Benedict were a little too buttery and the hash browns were a little under cooked. Â French Toast was a two star at best. Â
I don't think I would come here on my own but if a friend wanted to come here, I wouldn't mind.
Ok so I gave the place another shot. Â I figure any place deserves that, plus I luv places that serve tons of brews on tap:). Stopped in for HH w/a friend on a mon late afternoon. Â Had the Irish tots & hawg leg/mash for apps. Â As I stated the first time I was in, their tater tots are certainly nothing special, avg tots. Â Still tots w/cheese, onions & tomato on top is comfort food. Â The hawg leg/mash was different. Â The meat was tender but stringy. Â I didn't care for the gravy at all...waaaay too much mustard in it. Â The service was much better, very attentive. Â In the end I just dont care for the food here too much. Â I applaud the chef for stayg true to an Irish theme but I guess it's not for me. Â I will try their breakfast someday but I'll probably only come back to drink a beer or two!
Review Source:Great omelette, huge (HUGE) portions, good music.  It's located close to the Auburn Transit Center and I was there after any kind of commuter clientele they might have.  Attentive staff and  appropriately priced menu made it easy to tip well.  This is possibly the best omelette I may have ever eaten.  I'm pretty sure it was the Mile High omelette, but it doesn't appear on their online menu, so I could be wrong.
Review Source:Went for late night snacks and some beer. Love that they have some uncommon beers on tap! They have a fairly large bar area if you want fast service and something small. We chose to sit in the dining room for some food.
I had a glass of the Ginger bourbon beer, YUM. I really liked it. After we ordered they brought out a basket of their dill dough (bread rolls a la Red Lobster cheddar bay biscuits). We got they fresh out of the oven and they were delicious.
I ordered the smoky mac which was quite good. I liked the melted and crispy cheese on top. If you like cocktail wieners you will like this dish. The flavor of the mac & cheese was definitely overpowered by the lil smokies but it hit the spot for me.
It was nice that they had some large TVs, would be good for seeing some games but I'm not sure who their favorites are. Everything came out quickly, but it wasn't too busy. I would visit again just to see what new beers or food they have on the menu.
Easily my favorite place in auburn. Â At night it is a great bar, with good bar food and sports on the tv. I've asked for specific games a couple times and they've always obliged. Â My favorite is the BBQ chicken pizza, and a delicious hard cider or whatever else on tap that looks tasty. Â I've been here for lunch and it was quiet, but I enjoyed my wrap and tots. Â Breakfast takes the cake though. Â I love going out to breakfast and this place is perfect for it. I love the omelets, my husband loves the pancakes, and everything we've tried is super tasty. Â My coffee cup is never empty - really you can't ask for anything else from a pub!
Review Source:Looked forward to a great dinner at Oddfella's on a Friday night at 4:00 pm. We were seated in the general dining area. When I inquired about Happy Hour specials, they told us that Happy Hour specials were only available in the bar -- not the general dining area. WHAT ???!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING???!!! Â I have been to bars and restaurants throughout the US and around the world, and this is the first time I had EVER been told Happy Hour prices were no good in the "general seating area" -- even though we were seated about 10 feet away from bar patrons who were enjoying Happy Hour. We got up and left (after telling the front reception why we were leaving). We went to the Bistro Restaurant next door, and enjoyed Happy Hour there (as well as a great meal) in the GENERAL SEATING AREA. The manager at the new place was also very surprised at Oddfella's Happy Hour policy. I'm still shaking my head over it (and still angry about it). Â What difference is it to them where the people are sitting that are ordering the Happy Hour specials? Â Isn't "making the sale" the important thing? Â As it turned out, Oddfella's ended up losing $50 tonight as a result of this utterly ridiculous policy. Â If they change it, we will be back. Â If they don't, we won't.
Review Source:Been here a few times and this last time was the best. Â Not sure if they have a new cook, but the food was alot better then last. Â Lov'n the tater tots. I had French Dip - Hubby had Cottage Pie - both were yummy. Â Â Was here on a Friday night and the place was pretty full. Â Had to wait about 10 min - which..not bad. Â
Seating Hostess seemed irritated and maybe forgot that smiling not glaring at the customers is preferred - maybe just having a bad night - but our server was attentive and nice but not overbearing. Â
Thinking we might give breakfast a try - Sunbreak across the street thinks a little highly of themselves for no good reason.
Quick service, a good lunchtime spot.
I work close by to Oddfellas and this is a good place to grab a quick bite for lunch. I had the double bacon BLT with tater tots. That sandwich was just ok and kind of small, but that was balance by the giant amount of tater tots given. The service was good and friendly.
My Suggestion: With not many places to go to in Auburn, this is probably your best bet.
i moved here after living in Bellevue most of my life. Â I was disgusted by all of the fast food restaurants. After being told the Breakfast cafe was great, we went there to have breakfast and it was closed, so we went to Oddfellas. Â I love this place. Â The menu is unique, the good is great, and the staff is nice. Â I also like the look of the place. Â Thank you!
Review Source:Decided to give OddFellas a try for breakfast after taking a look at their menu online.  I'm a bit of a corned beef hash hound :).  My wife, son and I saddled up and headed for Auburn.  On arrival we found the staff to be very friendly and were seated promptly.  Orders were taken and everything seemed to be going well.  My corned beef hash was pretty good, my wife and son said their pancakes and french toast had an odd taste in  small areas of the toast and pancake.  The part  that I just can't get over is te cleanliness, it was like they didn't clean up after the Friday late night crowd left when the bar closed.  Table was sticky and bathroom was gross.  Corned beef itself very good, but, the cleanliness thing is a little to much for me.
Review Source:Oddfellas has filled a hole left in Auburn's dining scene. Â A place that is clean, comfortable and has a great beer selection. Â However, I am scared to grow to fond of any business that occupies this space. Â Everything that i have loved here has failed. Â Henry's and the Pit. Â
Their beer selection is awesome and their happy hour is great. Â The service is friendly and some of the best in Auburn. Â They remember your name and what you order, even if you only go once a month or so. Â The odd-numbered prices and Irish fare provide enough of a variety.
Even with big parties, my needs and wants have always been met.
We are fairly new in town having moved here less than a year ago from the East coast. Â We're still discovering the good and the bad when it comes to culinary adventures. Â OddFellas on W. Main Street in Auburn, WA was one hell of a nice surprise! Â The ambiance is upscale sports bar, the service was perfect, the menu is very interesting and the food was nothing short of spectacular. Â Our table of 4 ordered appitizers of hog wings and hobo clams and both were mouth watering (google hog wings if you're scratching your head). Â I ordered the Thursday night special pot roast which I dare to say could be the best I ever tasted. Â My wife Suz ordered Carlos' Cuban which bore no resemblence what so ever to a real Florida cuban but still had that cuban taste and man it was delicious! Â Our friends Ryan and Michelle ordered the cuban and a French Dunk and everything was excellent. Â Drinks were big and priced very conservatively. Â The only thing we were less than thrilled with were the dill topped dinner rolls which the refer to as (and don't read the name too fast or.... you'll see) Dill Dough. Â They weren't bad at all, just didn't ring our bells.
We plan to return to OddFellows often... I can't say enough good things about this fantastic pub and eatery... just add it to the ever growing list of why we are so happy to be living here now!
This was a mixed bag for me. Â The food alone would get 4 stars from me, but the extremely slow service was a 1. Â I can't remember a time where I have waited longer. Â In fact, it was so slow that the server was obviously embarrassed and offered to comp the food without me asking. Â For that, she gets extra credit raising the service to a 2. Â Three hours for a dinner at a place like this is crazy. Â They have a nice beer selection, but the first three beers I tried to order were not available.
Review Source:Well I had some wraps and fries and I was pleasently suprised. This place happens to be fairly clean inside and the food was not to shabby either. For Auburn its pretty good. Comparing it to the rest of the world I would say its A-OK. The service was good. Not a bad lunch place. The beers are kind of spendy so I would say get there at happy hour. $6-7 a beer is about the price of a six pack at the store so that is my only thought.
Review Source:I happen to really like this place. Â I've actually only been in for breakfast . Â I wanted to go to Sunbreak but was way too hungry to wait in the long line, so I went next door to OddFellas.
The breakfast menu is a little bit smaller but they have all the normal breakfast fare, eggs bennidict, pancakes, potatoes etc. Â What really impressed me was the quality and price. Â The price is incredibly reasonable. Â If that doesn't sell you, there are tons of TV's showing sports.
I want to come back to this place for dinner or maybe to watch football one of these days, it looks like it would be a fun place to hang out.
Stopped in for some quick pub grub on our way to a show at the White River Amphitheater. I wasn't expecting much, being as it's a bar in the middle of godknowswhere, but I was impressed by both the service and the food.
First, the dill dough. Yes, "dill dough." It's not every day where you can exclaim loudly in public, "Wow! This is the best dill dough I've ever had in my mouth!" Aside from the pun, though, that dill dough is pretty damn good. I'd like to enjoy a dill dough every day, if you know what I mean. *wink wink, nudge nudge*
I had the macaroni and cheese, which is essentially the stovetop stuff you ate as a kid: kraft/velveeta cheese, and served with little cut up hot dogs. AMAZING. I could have eaten many bowls of the stuff. My companions had sandwiches that were tasty.
Their liquor selection is large, and they carry a selection of high-test beers that will knock you on your keester -- as a result, they'll only serve two. But that's all you need, bub.
The server that we had was speedy and friendly, and didn't mind us making stupid "dill dough" jokes even though I'm quite sure she's heard them all. But she laughed as if we were being really original, and that stroked my ego... and I like that, because I wasn't hugged enough as a child. So points there.
If I ever find my way in that area again, I'd definitely go back to OddFellas. The price is right, the food is nice, and that dill dough is damn delicious.
Finally got around to checking this place out. Â Took the whole family too. Â So nice to have a place like this in South King County - it's an oasis of ales and food in a pub starved corner of the county. Â No driving to Seattle and easy parking!
The experience was totally positive too.  Great greeter and no funky odors - clean too!  For a Friday evening we had no wait and excellent service, never had to look for the waitress, prompt and right on time every time.  As soon as we were seated they brought a plate of their homemade dill biscuits and jam - wonderful  and fresh. Â
The food is a step above pub-grub.  I had the  fish n chips, 3 medium pieces and shoestring fries for $11.  We also had the Cuban pork sandwich -- WOW!  And the wife had a veggie pizza with a decent crust too.  The only thing I would suggest for OF to  improve is to get a little more creative with the beer taps by adding some imports ie British ales and German beers.
They're also open for breakfast at 7:00AM too - gotta check that out.
This is a highly recommended spot for families that want pub food and a good beer. Â But the best thing about OF is the service, please stay that way.
Beer? Â Oh, yes please!
They have an excellent selection of beer. Â There is something for even the most discerning of taste-buds. Â They feature local beers as well even showcasing one of The Harmon's beers. Â Way to go local! Â I also had THE most amazing Double Choklat, Imperial Stout by Southern Tier here.
Their food is pretty good. The Hog Wings are pretty darn tasty and I really like their hobo clams. Â They are served with toasted bread, but I always ask for just plain bread. (better in my opinion) Â Their Cuban sandwich is pretty tasty, but I order it with extra pickles as it adds a great texture and flavor.
Their servers are great. Â They are all pretty young, but so friendly. Â The ones that have been there the longest always remember us and come to say hi even if we aren't seated in their areas. Â Major points.
I love that they play soccer matches here, but really wish they would add the audio along with it. Â Maybe it was just that one game...
What would make this place better? Â Some delicious desserts. Â I can't believe they don't have so much as ice cream. Â Sad panda.
I'm a fan of this place called OddFellas. Who know that Auburn had a little corner Pub downtown. We decided to go here for breakfast and it beats the heck out of the Sunbreak Cafe. The place we go to when there is nothing else available. I'm so glad we stumbled across this place. We had 8 of us and EVERY meal was delicious and was served with EXCELLENT service! Not only were they fast, they were funny. Even though our waitress was brand spankin new - she cracked us all up.
Went there for lunch and sat in the bar. They have a great bar table to sit about 12 guests at. And lunch was great too. AWESOME fries! What a great find in Auburn where good places to eat are hard to find.
Great beer selection for the south end. They do have a Stella tap, which makes me sad, but they makes a strong effort to stock west coast and regional brews. The food is pubby, and overall not particularly notable. 3 exceptions to this rule: dill dough and jam (yep), any of their sandwiches featuring pulled pork, and cheez and tot Irish nachos. Nosh.
The service seems to been getting some dings here. The servers tend to been young and seem a little green, but in the couple of years I've been visiting, I've not had a truly bad experience. Also, this is a pub, not a damn speakeasy: if you order anything but beer or a well drink, you're probably going to be disappointed. And, it's loud. Crazy loud, sometimes: blame the high ceilings, I guess.
I really do like this place, and consider it my local. If you want a good pint and to watch a game, this is a rare in-town oasis. If you want a quiet dinner with the missus, WTF are you going to a pub for?
Reading the reviews I was really excited to try this place because as I'm sure you know if your'e from around here, Auburn isn't the greatest place for finding good eats.
My parents had had a pizza from here before and said it was pretty decent, so while I was staying with them last night we decided to check it out for dinner.
On first impression I'd say that the inside looks nicer than most other places in the area. The bar and the dining area are only separated by a half wall though which leads to my first negative: the noise. It was just after 8 when we sat down and it was REALLY loud. People in the bar were yelling non stop which kind of made it difficult for us to hear our server. I think if there were more of a divider between the two spaces this could easily have been prevented.
When we ordered I was disappointed to hear from the waitress that almost everything we asked about was not made in house. Pre battered frozen fish and chips, premade soups, sauces, etc. etc. I was hoping from a local place that they would make most of their food from scratch, but I guess since it's supposed to be more of a "pub" setting that maybe they are more focused on the booze aspect.
I ordered a chicken sandwich with a side salad, and my parents ordered the pot roast (the Thursday night special that our server said people come every week for) and the hog wings.
Very shortly after we ordered we got the "dill dough" which are basically shortening biscuits topped with dill and served with strawberry jam. This was actually my favorite part of our whole meal. Surprisingly the dill and strawberry combo was really delicious. I was disappointed to see that my salad was brought out with the biscuits though. I assumed since I subbed the salad for the fries that it would be brought out at the same time as my chicken sandwich, but that's okay.
Our food arrived about 10-15 minutes after the bread which was nice.
The pot roast which we were all excited to try turned out to be just okay. It was quite salty and the accompanying gravy tasted like a powdered mix, which I wouldn't doubt. The mashed potatoes that it came with had good flavor, and although I do like chunky mashed potatoes sometimes, there were a few HUGE chunks.
I didn't try the hog wings, but my dad seemed to enjoy them and he said they were cooked nicely and fell right off the bone. These came with the same mashed potatoes and a side of veggies which were green beans and wax beans. I stole a bite of beans and they were ok, but I'm assuming frozen.
My chicken sandwich was pretty good and whatever seasoning they used was quite tasty. The bun was nothing special but I hadn't planned on eating the bun anyways so that's okay. My salad was a really good size for being a side salad and I was pleased to see it was romaine lettuce since the entree salads on the menu appeared to all be iceberg lettuce. The honey mustard dressing was better than I expected for being out of a bottle.
As far as prices go, I think they're reasonable for what you're getting. The beer prices were especially good. In fact I think the beer is the biggest positive this place has going for them.
I probably wouldn't go back for the food, but if I wanted a good beer while in Auburn I'd definitely stop back, and I'm sure if I had a few beers in me I'd be willing to try something else to grub.
TL;DR: Mediocre food, good beer selection for the area.
We were hungry for breakfast this morning and headed for Sunbreak cafe. Â The line there was to the door and I glanced over and saw OddFellas across the street. Â I'd just read last week that they were pretty good, and they had a sign that said open for breakfast 7 days a week at 7am, so we headed that way.
We were seated immediately and ordered orange juice and hot tea. Â The waitress brought our drinks promptly. Â The menu looked very good. Â My husband ordered the pub hash and I ordered the 2 egg special with banger and biscuit.
A few minutes later, the waitress stopped by with coffee cake mini muffins. Â They were delicious! Â Moist and tender.
Shortly after that, our waitress came by to say that somehow our ticket had not printed in the kitchen and our food was not even being prepared yet. Â No problem, we asked for a dinner menu to look at to pass the time and were content to wait. Â The dinner menu looked good and my husband and I joked that we should come back for happy hour on Friday, then discussed coming back for dinner tonight after the movie we had planned this afternoon.
Breakfast arrived and I took one bite of my biscuit and was in HEAVEN! Â I'm not a bread girl...give me meat and potatoes, but this one was awesome! Â Crisp outside crumb and tender inside. Â The plate was hot and the butter was partially melted. Â My husband gave me a bite of the shredded corned beef from his hash and it was tender and full of flavor. Â How come I never thought to shred mine? Â Next was my banger...wonderful! Â Crisp skin and tender, hot interior with a little spice to it. Â The hashbrowns were amazing, too. Â Tender and crispy at the same time, with different sized pieces of red potatoes. Â Eggs were cooked to perfection. Â Mine over medium, hubby's done over easy.
Well...when we were done finishing every bite, the waitress said since we had waited so long for breakfast, it was on them and we didn't need to pay. Â Not necessary, but wonderful. Â We left a nice tip and commented what a nice time and breakfast we'd had on our way to the car.
Now I have to tell you....we're going back tonight for dinner....I'm absolutely serious. Â I already think I know what I'll be having. Â I can't wait!!!!
Oddfellas is easily the best pub in Auburn.
The food is consistently good and the service is as friendly as they are helpful. I recommend the wings with Bravo 1 sauce, the BBQ chicken pizza, and the Cheesy Brit. Simple, great tasting pub food.
But what really matters is the constantly rotating beer list. 25 beers on tap as well as a large variety of cans & bottles. Theres always a new IPA to try out and you certainly cant go wrong with the dedicated tap specifically for Stella. Best tasting Stella you can get on a consistent basis.
Far and away my favorite place to get hammer-time, shit-faced fucking drunk.
I have nothing but nice things to say about this place. Clean bathrooms, awesome food, and great service. First time in there was a month before my birthday. We didn't eat there, but I was planning on having a large guest list to my birthday dinner so I went in to give them a "heads up." The manager was a sweetheart, and had no problem with us making reservations for about fifteen people a month from now.
About a month later while we were planning my birthday dinner. Our waitress was wonderful! Food came back quickly and our drinks were delivered quickly as well.
All in all, good food. We all giggled over their famous "Dill Dough" and enjoyed it very much. I recommend it to anyone!
I went back to try the Cheesy Brit sliced ham, turkey, roast beef, chedder & swiss all toasty and good! their serving size is pretty big.. you could almost share with a friend if your *kinda hungry*
brought 3 new friends with me they had:
Irish Nachos tots piled with cheese and bacon bits and other nacho type toppings...
one had a chef salad it was huge and loaded with meat!
one had the pub burger she said it was good. i think she liked the tater tots the best!
