Best quality Hookah in the area. This place seriously steps up to the lounging experience and has some of the best quality Hookah. They use good coals from trees, non of that cheap kind coals that bring you horrible taste and headaches.
Management- Boss Man has his entire staff working and making sure every single customer has the best hookah experience. Coals are replaced constantly and making sure customers are 100% satisfied. Really good customer service overall.
I recommend this place for Hookah lovers and new customers. You will see a new taste and experience a new world of hookah.
P.S. try Three Island with Mint. Thats my favorite at this place.
In this dilapitated plaza, where weeds and destroyed pavement are the "character" of this side street junction, lies a place where the smoke isn't used to cover your eyes, but decorate the atmosphere.
Deco
I was surprised when I walked in. Purple and black covered the interior, with tinted windows and a sense of mystery lingering in every velvet-y, cushion-y seat. You could hardly tell the details on faces and this anonymity gives courage in the form of uncensored conversation. As open space as the place is, each nook felt hidden with a shroud of cover and it was wonderful, strange, and novel. Hip hop music plays both in background and LCD screens, and it fits perfectly with the mood. The only thing missing were gypsys dancing near, and opium saturated pillow-beds formed on the floor.
Service
With an establishment as mysterious and foreign as this hookah lounge, it was both shocking and welcoming the service is so generous. The gentleman who helped me had a healthy beard and what I imagine were sunglasses on at 10 in the evening. He wasn't just responsive, he was proactive. He welcomed us warmly; warmer than a tight hug from a beach sunburn. He eased any worry I might have had, and I simply relaxed and had a good time. When I still think of this place, the service is the first thing that comes to mind.
Hookah
The hookahs were good. I mean, it's hard to describe hookah if you've never had it before. Imagine smoking tasty vapor with a hint of charcoal hitting you from the backside. Plenty of flavors are available, and the emporium of tastes means future samplings. They were clean, crisp, and long lasting, which is important. Servers kept coming to replenish the charcoal before they turned to ash, allowing a nice, clean burn of the tobacco. Not to mention, they gave each person in the party their own mouthpiece, allowing no cross contaminations and passive psuedo kissing.
Price
I didn't get to pay for the bill. Friend stole it from me. But for one hookah for three people, it cost about $17. That's a pretty good deal in my head. That sucker lasted almost an hour.
Conclusion
People often say you can find some of the best gems in your backyard. When I was living in Cypress, I never knew this treasure existed. Now that I'm gone, I've realized I missed out on a true gem. I can't wait to try this place again and not seem like such a novice in my own hometown.
Came here Friday night just to hang out with a friend. We got a pineapple bowl and ice tip with 2 bottles of water for $22. Great atmosphere! Brand new couches and there was a DJ and a small open area where people were dancing. From what the owner told my friend, the place has been renewed since February 2012, and it looks fantastic.
The hookah is sooo good. It got slightly harsh once and even then it was barely noticeable and someone came right away to fix the harshness for us. The service here is FANTASTIC! I never had to ask for new coals because they were replaced constantly. Very friendly and attentive staff.
Definitely coming back soon!
A hookah bar on Beach and Ball wanted to charge us $26 for 3 people on a week night. Some guys saw us walk out and recommended this place. Here at Odyssey, we paid $15 for a much classier and very friendly environment. They have wifi and the manager did a great job on making us feel welcome. It is a relaxed, comfortable and stylish environment. Sometimes there's even a bouncer outside, so I feel nice and safe.
Review Source:Decent hookah lounge in the OC, they occasionally bring a DJ in to make it more poppin. The workers are especially nice to "pretty girls", and one of my good friends who used to be a regular there is always offered free drinks and water.
They have a "themed" night here and there, but no one really dresses up. Drawing a mostly Hispanic crowd (not surprising due to its location), the prices are fairly average for a hookah lounge, if not a little cheaper than usual. All in all, a good place to just chill with friends.
This lounge is just another in a great line of hookah bars that are absolutely horrible. Â The quality of the hookah they serve is sub-par. Â Flavors that die in 20 minutes time without ever giving off any real taste. Â The people hired to attend your coals are usually off smoking in a group with some buddies, and on the rare occasion that they do come around they remove the smallest coal on your head only, and replace it with a new one. Â They never blow out the head or even dust it off, let alone give you all new coals. Â Also, from my experience, they insist on placing your coals in the very center of your head. Â
The parking is also horrible. Â The lot they are located in is barely big enough to hold 30 cars, if that, and most of the time you have to park down the block and walk back. Â
Anybody who says that this is one of the best lounges in the OC obviously cares more about the club atmosphere and doesn't know more than two things about actual hookah. Â If you prefer the club scene, this place is great. Â If you enjoy real hookah with amazing service, look elsewhere because it is NOT found here.
Everything that a hookah bar should be. Odyssey is always the place to go whenever my friends and I want to smoke. The prices are pretty cheap compared to other places and they keep the quality of the hookahs high. The staff here is really friendly and will remember your name and face within only a few visits.
Service is always fast and efficient but the ambiance of the place is what I like the most. The interior's been recently updated and looks really classy. They always have music playing and sometimes got a DJ as well. The music varies from time to time but hip-hop is played the most. The age group is pretty diverse but young adults seem to be around here the most.
Overall, I definitely recommend this place for anyone who's looking for a hookah lounge in the Orange County area. Great spot to chill with a group of friends.
Wow! What a turn around to this place from before! There has been a new owner and the place has been completely remodeled from before. This place has a great atmosphere and on the weekends the prices are reasonable only 15 dollars for any hookah! One of the top classy hookah bars in the OC, I highly recommend this place for anyone who is in the mood to have a great time and some great hookah! Not to mention the staff and the owner who greet you from the time you enter the door and make you feel welcome!
