Basic American lunch fare......soups, sandwiches, hand cut fries served on old fashioned mismatching plates. Â Delicious hand cut fries, sandwiches were made to order and fresh, and the atmosphere had a very old-timey feel. Â Good food, good service, decent prices, but it just took a long time for us to get our food.....about 40 minutes from ordering until our food arrived.
Review Source:Wow...after reading all the great reviews about this place, I thought that it was actually going to be good. Â I am so disappointed. Â The only thing that impressed me was the atmosphere and decor. Â
I ordered the seasonal off the square salad with raspberry vinaigrette and grilled chicken. Â The salad was so plain, the chicken was dry with absolutely no flavor at all. Â The "raspberry vinaigrette" looked more like purple paste. Â It was horrible. Â There was not a single bit of flavor in this salad. Â Oh, and the sweet tea tasted like it was steeped in with several cigarette buds. Â It was nasty. Â
My son had the lil' tenders with sweet potato chips. Â The "tenders" was a piece of chicken breast, half breaded, deep fried and cut up- no seasoning whatsoever on it. Â The sweet potato chips were soggy, burnt- obviously over cooked. Â
Sadly to say, I would not go back.
