I came here to check out the "open mic" set up and I didn't really know what to think.  So I put that aside and had a Guinness and shared a sampler platter with a friend I hadn't seen in 2 years instead. The sampler platter: stuffed mushrooms, jalapeño poppers, cheese sticks, buffalo wings and french fries for about 12 bones.  Was it to die for? No, but it was good enough for us! And our server was really nice.  Not something I expect at a dive bar.  It got loud really fast and I heard everything from Adele to Sublime. We were there for the soundcheck and heard the drummer drumming along to each song that played. I was content.
It's quite small inside, but it packs a punch. Â The "stage" area is big enough for a drum set and maybe a set of speakers. Â On the other side (the expansion), you'll find some pool tables and a jukebox. It feels like I was hanging out in a friend's basement, so I felt at ease the entire time. Â I didn't see anybody that was younger than 40 there, and that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Â I wonder how this is going to work out next week, when I drop rhymes. Â Because I'm bringing it Hemet!
