The Office Lounge has GREAT sushi! But they also have a large menu from burgers, to prime rib. One of the things I like best about the office lounge is that they always have a large number of different beers on tap...not your regular coors light, bud,etc...they have craft beers! The office has something for everyone.

Office Lounge is OK. The food is usually OK, but nothing to brag about. Many different choices and different specials.  I usually get the pork roll and cheese and it is good. Buffalo sauce is just hot sauce- don't waste your time.

Staff is always changing- restaurant has a funky smell- and needs severe updating.

Sushi is very good, and drink specials are always good. Overall it is just another restaurant and good to eat at when you are near-by.

I like this place. Very good all around. Large menu.

What can I say? I have been coming here for nearly thirty years or longer. The food is always good and over the years many friends have been made. Most who work there tend to stay for years and years. ( I think some of the bartenders may have been born there!) The sushi is about the best in town and their prime rib is one of the dishes they are known for. In the warmer months, outside seating is available next to a relaxing koi pond. Just be prepared, if you pay cash, you'll likely get a two dollar bill, dollar coin or a 50 cent piece. They've done this for as long as I can remember- and you'll remember them for this when you go. Bring some friends and relax at the bar or one of two expansive seating areas.

Stopped by on a Saturday night for some food. I was able to get a seat immediately. This restaurant/lounge has a very non-threatening atmosphere and does give off an appearance of being for an 'older' crowd, although the age range there was very diverse.

The food was decent and very reasonably priced, and they offer a good beer selection.

The look & feel has much to be desired, as the place looks kind of reminds me of the early 1980s. I wasn't too crazy about the spotlights shining down directly over your head at each table. Waiter service was great.

Steaks, Seafood, Pasta and Sushi Bar Drink Specials and over 40 beers - 21 on tap. Package Goods Available. Excellent food. This happening place to be attracts an eclectic crowd for happy hour. It's a mix of blue collar and white collar old and young. It has TV sets all over the place usually on sports channels, or tuned to the trivia game network with consoles available at the bar.  There is a small outdoor dining area with a Waterfall. And they have free Wi-Fi so bring your IPods and computers.

I've just about had it here. There is nothing that makes you want to come back. Is the food terrible?  No. But it's not great either.

Usually a restaurant has something about it that you want to experience over and over again; that's why we eat out to begin with. I just don't see it here. For the prices of everything here, I'd expect a unique dining experience or fantastic food. Meh.

I'm no gourmand or anything but Toms River isn't exactly the dining capital of the world.  That being said, the Office Lounge is pretty great.   Lots of selection and good prices.  Chains like Chilis, Fridays and Applebees abound here in central suburbia so it's nice that there is a place (besides the diner) in Toms River that does offer a bit of a difference.  And they have sushi (and it's not bad either...).  I love the sweet potato roll and though the sweet potato fries aren't excellent, they are definitely edible and do taste good.

Basically, decent food, decent prices, decent staff, and a more at home feeling than going to a chain.  It's not the best food in the world, but you'll end up feeling good you came when you leave because it is good and the atmosphere is dim and more laidback.  I would say for Toms River, this place gets 4 stars.

I'm a big fan of the Office Lounge and love going to dinner here! Everything is always absolutely delicious and everyone there is really nice. I love the chef's salad, and I've never had a sandwich I didn't love! The food is always cooked perfectly and the specials are always great too. I'll definitely keep coming back!

I love coming here on Mondays with my friends for Ladies Night! They always have great specials, not to mention the sushi is amazing! I was a little skeptical about having sushi here for the first time but was so happy when I tried it! This is one of my new favorite places to go!

This place has always been a family favorite of ours.  We go there normally at least every other family occasion, whether its fathers day, mothers day, a birthday or something like that.  Sushi is A+, Food is A+.  Macaroni salad is awesome!.  And of course the Bar and Bartenders are as friendly as it can get.  We keep going back!

Came here on with reservations on Saturday night, the hostess ignored us and sat 3 parties ahead of us who did not have reservations. When we finally complained that we had been waiting an hour and we had reservations they sat us all the way in the back corner next to the sushi kitchen where it was extremely hot and smelled like fish. We asked to be moved to a decent table and the hostess rolled her eyes. It took 2 hours for us to finally be seated and get our meal. The food was okay, nothing special. I would never come here again.

The also give you pre-packaged Cheez Wiz to dip your tiny breadsticks into, pretty classy -_-

3 stars is a good rating for this restaurant and I agree. Not good enough to be 4 stars, but not bad enough to be 2 stars either.

Ventured here with my business partner for lunch. Tried "Grandma's Sandwich" which was grilled chicken, with roasted red pepper, and mayo. Our order it seemed took years to get there, but when it finally arrived it was ok. My sandwich was a little luke warm, but it still tasted good. I had chips as a side, and they were good as well.

Waitresses and waiters were standing around doing nothing, so why did it take so long?

I'd like to come back here to try some other fares in the future.

The sushi was awesome! Also, the Famous Office Nachos were huge, filling, and definitely worth the price. I'm also a huge nacho junkie and thought they were pretty good, but not the best. Although I was filled on appetizers alone, I'm sure the rest of their food is just as good.

Have been here quite a few times. Always very happy with the quality food. Good specials. HUGE menu with tons of choices for appetizers. Very good prices.

The new sushi bar is top notch.

My only suggestion would be a better choice for the "table bread" instead of pre-packaged writz-type crackers and some cheeze-wiz in a container.

Stopped in for lunch on the way to my parent's house.  I've been past this place a billion times or so, just never dropped in.  Don't know why now, but I'm glad I did.  Sat at the bar, which was pretty big and the place was jamming for lunch.

Grabbed a bacon cheeseburger and a couple of Yuenglings.  The burger was really good.  Cooked perfectly, bacon was good, it was a big burger and on a poppy seed roll.  The fries were ehhhh.  Crispy coated.  (If you guys read this, forget about those crispy fries! Go plain or steak cut.)  The bartenders were quite attentive.

I really had a good experience here and will come back.  The only weird thing is the parking lot.  Coming from Rt 37 you can get in from the strip mall, but from the Main Street way you pass 2 places you cannot enter, until you pass the restaurant and can enter from the back.  A bit odd.

Been going to the lounge for many years now.  The Sushi has always been fresh and very tasty.  Not the best in Ocean County, but consistently good.   The other offerings are OK.  Don't think I have ever been 'Wowed' or disappointed either.  Good place for a drink and a quick bite.

I actually believe it deserves no stars! This place was god awful! I went on Monday Night for half price drinks and ladies night. The drinks were horrible and the bartenders couldn't figure out how to make a good drink at all. I finally sat down for half price food. I ordered sushi and waited over an hour for it by the time I received it, it was warm! I then had a problem with my check and discussed the issue with my awful waiter who sent the manager from hell over with the worst attitude I've ever seen. She had an attitude from the get go. I will never go back to this place again and I suggest you don't either!

I was wavering between 2 and 3 stars for this place but I think the Yelp 2-star description is pretty much right on.  "Meh.  I've experienced better".  Some buddies and I happened to be in the area so we stopped in to grab some food, beers and watch some college football games.  When I first walked in, I thought the place was pretty dated inside.  Not a huge deal.  We grabbed a table in the bar area.  The bar area is very big and they have plenty of TV's throughout.  And, they accommodated our requests to put the games we wanted to see on.

The beer was cold and tasted great.  Definitely a plus there.  We started out with an order of wings and nachos.  I am a huge wing fan and I must say that I was incredibly disappointed by the wings.  They reminded me of those generic wings you can buy at the supermarket and just throw in the oven.  Don't bother with the wings.  But, the nachos were decent.  Definitely nothing spectacular but they were OK.  If I was ever back here again, I would probably try some different apps.

For my meal, I went with the burger.  I must say the burger was pretty solid - definitely the best thing I had here.  The poppy seed bun was good and it was quality meat.  The cheeseburger was served plain (no lettuce, tomato, etc) which I thought was a little strange.  But, it was a good burger.  I would get it again.

Service was decent.  I think our waiter just had too many tables, to be honest, and was a little overwhelmed.  This place is definitely fine to grab a beer at and watch some games, but I probably wouldn't head here just for the food.  The burger was the only thing I had that I would order again.  This is the kind of place that I probably wouldn't go out of my way to go to again, but if I ended up here, I would be OK with it.

On our mini-vacation to the Jersey Shore, we were looking for a place to have dinner after 10pm. That's nearly impossible in this town except for "The Office"

We were happy to find this place open and it wasn't deserted either which made us feel better. We browsed the menu and were a little confused. Sushi, Italian, American fare all on one menu. Well, it was 3 of us and we all tried something different.

My friend ordered some sushi - the prices were decent but the quality of the rolls were just ok. It tasted fresh but the flavors weren't very good.

I ordered the Pasta 1-2-3. Linguine with grilled chicken, Creamy Vodka sauce with peas and prosciutto. I wasn't a fan of the sauce at all, but the pasta and chicken were cooked very well. Unfortunately the sauce ruined the meal for me.

The hubby ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries. It was Medium Well just like he ordered and he ate it all! It was very good. I wish I had went simple and ordered a burger.

I wouldn't come here for the sushi but it's best for it's American fare.

"Honey, I'll be staying late at The Office" ;)

At night, the Office is rocking -- and each night has a different bar special. Get to know one of the long-time bartenders, and you're good to go.

The sushi is some of the best around (good, at least), but the rest of the menu is hit-or-miss. The corned beef reuben is probably the best around, as is the cole slaw, but the frozen seafood might stink up the surrounding tables. I got the worst prime rib ever here, but the Sunday Night 1-2-3 pasta dish is one of my favorites. So as I said, it's hit or miss. Don't expect gourmet here.

During warm weather, the outside patio next to the koi pond is very pleasant -- and smokers can smoke freely there.

There's something for everyone here, as long as you know what you're looking for.

Another average 3-star review.  Office lounge is alright - it's not god awful, but it's not particularly good, either.  The sushi is pretty good, albeit a bit ordinary; you won't find any innovative rolls here. It's worth it on Monday nights after 8 - all food for *LaDiEz* is half off.  They have a couple of appetizers that are decent (sweet potato chips!) but I'd venture away from any "meal" type food.

The bar tends to be filled with exactly the type of people you'd find at a jersey shore townie bar.  The beer selection is also what you'd expect at this kind of bar - most of the taps are wasted on generic American macro beers. One plus is that the bar is pretty huge and it's never too hard to find a seat.

    Overall, it's just okay.

alright, so i come in here pretty often with my co-workers. The place is not bad. Every M-W-F they have pretty legit drink specials and if you come in after 5pm there is a free buffet of what ever it is that they make. ranges from Wings- sausage- pasta and meat balls. not sure how they do it but their sauces are pretty good. and you cant beat free so i think it makes it even MORE good.
As far as layout and people go, its a bar/restaurant. The bar itself is pretty large, sits... A LOT and then there are tables that seat generally two-four around the bar. If you want to go away from the bar you are more than welcome to on either end of the establishment. there is also a outdoor patio open during the warmer seasons of the year accompanied by a nice tranquil water fall.
The people that go to The Office really range by drastic measures. At any given time you will see your young 20s crowed to the mid 50s crowed. Everyone always gets along and its pretty fun..
Not a OMG I GOTTA HAVE OFFICE TONIGHT but i chill spot to sit down, chat, BS, sip and munch.. hope you enjoy!

The Office is what you would call my fall back, when theres no other option and when we cant make up our mind we head over to The Office. I seldom get anything from the kitchen other than the occasional appetizer or cup of soup, I'm always ordering sushi and it all priced pretty well and tastes just as good. To my understanding they have won readers choice for best sushi in the Asbury Park Press a few times so they have some credit there. I have ventured off the sushi menu a few times and found it wasn't up to par but the sushi is almost always a solid bet. Its always a good time at the office and generally pretty cheap.

This is a good place to go for the bar.  The restaurant itself  is nothing special though.

The bar is pretty big and has a lot of beers on tap-and for friday happy hour they are all like 2 bucks or something.  Monday is 1/2 off for ladies after 8.  Theirs usually a good amount of people their, a lot of business folk.

The food is OK, I've actually never had their sushi but a lot of my friends say its pretty good.  The layout of the restaurant is pretty good though, it can accommodate larger crowds comfortably

This is great for any occasion, there are separate seating areas which is nice. I used to always go for the 1/2 price girls night, how can you beat that! They have great appetizers and a huge selection of food, everything you could think of really.  Their bar area gets pretty packed with a mix of people, you will walk into the suit and tie guys from work, to the girls out for drinks to the guys there to watch the game.  It is nice to see such a diverse crowd.  They are open late which is great for a late night snack and a drink.
I have been with friends for years as well as with my parents and never disappointed.  The pricing ranges from low to high depending on what you order.

Another just mailing it in place.  Bear in mind this review is based on 6 plates of food so I got a gander at the situation.  Had high hopes for this one too, should have just stayed on the Baordwalk.
Waiter in training "Scott" was very good and is wasted at this blah joint, move on to somewhere else my lad.

The Office!!!! Well, it's anything but an office. Although I would have to say I've eaten food in MY office that tasted better. I will get to that in a minute though!! The location, good! Right in the heart of Toms River, minutes from the shore, and one of the only dine-in restaurants in the area open past 10pm! The staff... friendly, but not the fastest. They tend to come to you more when you don't need them. It's kinda funny actually! My buddy and I were taking bets to see if our waiter would fill up our water glasses fifteen times in the hour we were there. I said yes, and lost! It was only nine! Anywhoooo..... The food... well... aangh! Not so pleasant... salad was pretty scary, and the food portions were small. Their prices looked reasonable, but when you see what your getting... it all makes sense. No complaints about the full bar though. I would definitely recommend the Office Lounge as a place to grab a beer, or cocktail... but don't waste your dollars on the food!!!

I've been to the lounge several times over the years, as a resident of ocean county of 23 years and find it, on occasion, a decent place to eat. Lunch mostly. Reasonable? yes, not bad. You have to realize that the hospital is down the street and I find a lot of the hospital staff go there because it's close, ie. the crowds. Not my idea of dining at it's best, that 's for sure, but the food or service has never been terrible.
They have a huge bar and little area's that you can sit around it, at it, by it.
They have the people who are the usuals, the place has been here pretty long.
Not a sushi fan, but my daughters are , and they do have an extensive sushi menu, but I feel a little over priced.

Also , I feel like I have to kind of defend Ocean County a bit. There are several, I mean several, places to hang out, have dinner, go to a joint, dive, pub, hole in the wall, sports bar, & more sports bars, clubs, fine dining, water front dining, the list goes on.
The Jersey Shore has always been a home to me and never have I had a dull moment, especially after 10pm.lol

I don't really like this place.  In fact, I kinda hate it.  You'd think a restaurant couldn't go wrong with grilled cheese, but the Office Lounge definitely did.  I didn't even want to eat it.  The salad had too much dressing.  Everything was kinda just gross and unsatisfying.  I don't understand the crowds.  Maybe it's cause it's the only place in Ocean County open past 10.
