Had Lunch there on Saturday, Not too crowded, good atmoshere and service, had the western bacon hamburger with fries, great deal and very good (this is one of the few places that asks how you want your Burger cooked. Like i said good food good service. tons better than a Beer joint on Ave L (they could take lesson from the cooks at the Office!)
Always a good time.
Great taste; potato bread with garlic cream was transcendently delactable, channeling all the good aspects of carnival fried dough.
Roasted brussels sprouts were tangy and delicious. The entrees less successful in my book. Green chili fisherman's stew was a bit fishy/weird for me but my co-eater really liked it.
Stuffed chicken paprika was a quarter chicken stuffed with something or other, over spaetzle, doused in a brownish sauce. I endorse the spaetzle but the chicken's texture was kind of rubbery and the sauce lacked any kick.
A quick note to the GPS-dependent: my Garmin didn't like "Quartz Hill", but took "Lancaster", for what it's worth. Local watering hole, nothing special. Positive: Quartz Hill definitely feels safer than, say, Palmdale. Lots of tv's, beers on tap, oysters?? (I don't know, man, bar sushi has never worked out for me, but more power to ya). Booths and high tables if you don't want to be at the bar, or want more privacy. Low-key, incognito. Quartz Hill! I like it!
Review Source:The food is decent. It is above bar food quality. I've tried the burgers (Grilled Cheeseburger, Chiliburger,) sandwich (turkey, made from sliced deli meat), nachos and salad. All were fine, except for the Cesar salad, which needs some help. I am especially found of the wedge cut fries. There are free refills on soda, if you order a meal.
If you favor an out-of-town football team, as I do with the 49ers, it is far superior to the other spot in Lanscatter (Coach's). It's less of a dive, and your final bill will be a little cheaper.
The good news is they have Guiness on tap. The bad news is none of the bartenders know how to pour it. The drink specials and happy hour are A-OK but the service is kinda cruddy...kinda really cruddy. If you sit at the bar and it isnt busy you'll be okay, but find yourself in a booth and you're in for a real shit-show.
Example: I started off sitting at the bar one afternoon and got pretty great service from the woman who was tending bar. She was really friendly and didn't skimp on the vodka in my $2.50 bloody mary. She was taking care of a couple people sitting at the booths and tables as well as the people at the bar and she was running it like a boss. I was meeting 4 friends and when they showed up we moved to a booth because there wasn't enough room at the bar, at the same time the lady bartender's shift ended and a hispanic guy with a moustache took over for her (a waitress came in as well). Thats when everything went to shit. This guy totally ignored us and pretty much evrery other table. the waitress didnt seem to be doing anything, she was standing around looking confused. I went to the bar to order drinks and the bartender insisted that he would come to the table to take our drink order, 10 minutes later we were still waiting. I went back to the bar and ordered 5 beers and he said he would bring them over to us. He poured them, set them on the bar, and started changing the channels on all of TVs and talking to other patrons. All the while our beer sat on the bar counter until we finally got up to get it. It went like this for two more rounds before we decided to get the fuck out of there,
I've been back since then and the service has been hit or miss. The food isn't very good but the drinks are cheap and strong. Not a bad place overall but definitely not my first choice.
great happy hour prices! i ordered buffalo wings one night and uhhhh it was good then after 5 minutes it got cold real fast and started tasting weird...i dont know ill be back for beer but not wings! ohhh and they give free popcorn i advise not to eat them...they are always stall! but i mean come here to get your buzz on!!!
Review Source:First off, everyone I know including me, that go here love the bartender! He talks to you like he's known you for years. He comes up to greet you and makes you feel welcome. As for the waitress....on St Patty's day last year we had a table of about 6 people. I asked for a Michelob Ultra my boyfriend and friend asked for a Coors Light . She came back with a Corona, Bud Light and a Coors Light.!! Are you kidding me? She said, "You ordered these" I said,"No I didn't." She went and fixed the order with the bartender shaking his head. Then she took our orders.....my boyfriend and  friend ordered the Office burger, no onions and no tomatoes. I also ordered the Office burger with grilled onions and avocado. She asked me, "Do you want meat with that?". I started laughing and asked what she said " With your grilled cheese, do you want meat with it?" Me, " I asked for the Office burger it should come with meat". So forever later my boyfriend and friend finally get their burgers and she asked me,"You wanted meat with yours right?".OMFG Hello! I ordered a burger!..She brought it out and it was...Bread...meat ..cheese..tomato...ummmm where is my dressing, grilled onions, lettuce and avocado.!! Then she went to the back and brought everything that was missing on a separate plate!!
Overall, I love coming here instead of those bars that are crowded and make me  feel like I'm at my High school reunion. I always have fun here and have learned if you want your order right just go up to the bar and order or just sit there.
Great hamburgers reasonable prices good beer selection. My only complaint is the waitress we wanted to order and she kept playing with the tv remote. There was only us and anther table and they had there food she spent way too much time with the tv instead of helping us  I will try again for sure
Review Source:While the bartender and drinks here are great.. The waitress is horrible. First she hardly speaks English. Second she's rude! Third even after the horrible service we had about 4 people to start and a few join us later and she never asked about splitting the check or anything but by the time we wanted our bills we asked for a separate checks she told us no.. Then we told her we had to she made us go to her computer and do it ourselves! We went in there one more time after and she completely ignored our table and other tables because apparently sweeping was more important. My friend ordered a hamburger and never received it 45 min later we mentioned it to the bar tender and he checked and the order was never put in! If you decide to go here definitely sit at the bar. Oh I almost forgot to add they have a cool happy hour till 8:00.
Review Source:Been to the office a few times now...usually a good place to go after some time spent at the spur.
Jusrt had a beer during happy hour. They have a nice deal for $2.50 a beer during happy hour, the large beers are $4.00 for domestic or import.
The drink specials are nice, but the food is aweful. I'm serious, even for bar standards the food is pretty bad.
However, the staff is always really nice and accomodating!
