Stopped in for drinks while on business in Amarillo. The service was exceptional, and everyone was very friendly. The drinks were great. They have a great selection, but the bartender, Heather, makes sure every drink is made to perfection. Try the infused tequila or vodkas, all are very tasty.

I always thought Bistro B was the nicest place to go out on a dinner date, but I was wrong. This place serves a lot of intricate food, and the price helps show that. The place isn't very large, and when I went on a Wednesday night, I still had to wait about 5 minutes to get a seat (so make a reservation if you can!). The menu is pretty small, but the food all sounds delicious. Every entree on the menu is at least $20 however, so be prepared to spend. I got the prosciutto wrapped pork tenderloin and my boyfriend got the lobster pasta. The pork tenderloin to me was okay. It's not something I would get again. It was good, but I felt like the prosciutto and the tenderloin was a bit overcooked in that they weren't very tender or flavorful. The macaroni and cheese that came with it was delicious, but it got soggy very, very quickly. The lobster pasta was very good. They made sure to put in a lot of lobster, which I like. However, for the price of $26, I felt like there could've been more food.

Nevertheless, it is a good dinner date option! Just too expensive for the food in my opinion.

Worth the visit.  Cafeteria style at it's best.  This is one your shouldn't miss.

Love this place! I have found myself trying a bourbon and the elk entree the past couple times I have been there. The flavor of the elk is outstanding.
Ambience is nice; I generally sit at the bar (first thing you see when you come in the door) but there is plenty of good seating,

I am super enthusiastic about this restaurant!!  It could easily be rated among the best of the West. If you're traveling through Amarillo & hankering for some West Texas fare, this is NOT your place. However, if you're looking for something truly unexpected & out of the ordinary, take a downtown exit and head for this place. I consider myself a culinary enthusiast having eaten my way from Buenos Aires to Dublin & every place in between & with the utmost candor and honesty, I can confidently say that this is hands down the best meal I've had in years.

When we arrived @ 8:00 pm, there was an hour long wait, but if we didn't mind eating in the bar (full menu is offered there), we could take a seat immediately. From the filtered tap water to the last bite of peanut butter cheesecake, our tastebuds were in for a culinary experience far far beyond what we could have dreamed ( even after reading other reviews).  We ordered the melt-in your-mouth tenderloin kabob sprinkled with bleu cheese over a bed of field greens appetizer.  This little sampling of their aged angus created a hankering for more beef so I ordered the filet served with fettucine and green beans. My husband ordered the smoked pork chops with garlic mashed potatoes. Pops had smoked chicken. Each was truly the best I have ever had. I know this sounds like hyperbole, because really how could that many entrees of that quality exist in one spot?!  I'm not a cynic, but I am a skeptic, however this place rocks (as in rocking the tastebuds)!!

My husband often travels to Amarillo on business & I don't often join him, but that will change from now on. OHMS, I hear you calling.

Arrived from Corrales NM with no reservations on a Friday night - very busy and full Friday evening before Christmas but they found a table for us; excellent wine, lettuce wraps, Caesar salad - husband enjoyed Alabama smoked chicken breast with a heap of delicious REAL mashers - excellent staff, service and time together.  I must say we were told Crush was better than Dallas wine bistros - stopped in sat at bar - very cluttered cold NO ambiance - dinner menu was dirty with food smeared on it; yes it is also a beer place and to be honest it smells like one and looks like one - hard for us to do but we got up and left and are extremely HAPPY we did - we really enjoyed OHMS!!!!

We came on a Saturday night and even though we didn't have a reservation we were seated immediately. The staff was friendly, however the wait staff could use a bit more attentiveness. We started off with the spinach artichoke dip which was good but different, normally at most places its thick here it was more of a liquid dip with spinach and tomatoes, but still good.
He had the smoked tenderloin which he claims is first class!! I had the ribeye which was amazing plenty of food on the plate and a fabulous taste!! for dessert we had the citrus cheesecake which was fluffy and yummy!!
Definitely a great place to have a cozy dinner, especially with the piano player there! They could easily be five star if they worked on the wait staff a bit and fixed the noise level and ambiance!! Overall, a great experience!!

We celebrated our anniversary here.  We started with oysters, then the ribeye for Hubby and the tenderloin for me.  Topped it off with great wine and chocolate pot de creme for dessert - everything was wonderful!  We'll be back!  I saw a few more things on the menu I want to try.  =)

Surprisingly great food. Great bar service. I had the tenderloin sliders and they were awesome!  I ordered the top shelf margarita and added a floater of Grand Marnier and it was very good.  I had the surf and turf and, wow, the lobster pasta may have been the best I have ever had. The tenderloin was fantastic!, although it came out medium instead of medium
rare. My server, Heather, was very attentive and very cute. I will be back. By the way, if you are an attractive, single woman, you should be here. There are some very good prospects.

While driving through Amarillo, we checked out our dinner options and after days of fast food and diner fare (all good in their own ways, but after a while, you want a change), we decided that something comfy and classy would be a good choice. I kind of wish we had gone to that tacky touristy big steak house thing instead; it would have been a better story (and value).

I expected a little more elk and mashed potatoes for $34 (I guess everything isn't bigger in Texas) and our server had a bit of an attitude with us as soon as he discovered that we didn't plan to order wine. That happens waaaay too often! BUT the food was tasty (my elk was exceptionally tender and very well-prepared) and it was nice to sit down to a classy sort of meal meal after days and days on the road.

This was a pretty tasty place. It looks shady walking in but nice once inside. I noticed after leaving they didnt charge me for a cocktail i had. Im not sure if it was on purpose or just a mistake but either way, thanks guys!

I went here for lunch with some coworkers.  The food was served cafeteria-style, which I wasn't expecting.  The day we went they had Mango Curry Chicken, Meatball Stroganoff, Chicken Tettrazini, Brie-Basil linguine, and a few other entrees.  We all had one of the items above, and all were very good.  It was like a church event, mom's home-style cooking.  I liked the Brie-Basil Linguine and the Mango Curry Chicken, even if they don't really complement each other, they were still delicious!  The Meatball Stroganoff tasted like they were making meatloaf, but then decided to turn it into meatballs.  Not that that really affects how yummy the food is, but just something I noticed. The Chicken Tettrazini was hearty and creamy.
The restaurant is in an interesting building downtown, I can't figure out what it used to be, but definitely a cool place. An enjoyable meal overall, stop by if you get a chance!

We were in Amarillo for the night at the Courtyard downtown and in need of a drink and dinner.  Limiting ourselves to what we could walk to, the Yelp reviews  led us to Ohms.  OHMS, as in On Her Majesty's Service.  We sat at the bar and engaged with the bartender, learning local flavor.  There were a few locals and other out of towners on business (we being the exception as retired tourists on a 9000 mile road trip).  The drinks were well poured (that's me), the wine pairings spot on (that's me again) and the bottled beer selection (nothing on tap) was adequate (that's my hubbie).

There were 9 main course selections, nearly as many each of salads and appetizers.  Everything sounded good.  I had the filet sliders- best ever, and hubbie had the elk- also great, and not his first (note that its grass-fed elk from New Zealand, so not 'gamey').

Great ambiance in a historic building that attracts people you can have a good conversation with- we'll be back next time through.

So let me get this straight...Amarillo Texas...Dark..Shady parking lot...Strange name...but...

    Really good food.

I was really impressed by this place.  The menu was small, approx 6 entree's, but all of them seemed fantastic.  I got the Elk, the first time i've ever eaten it, and for such a gamey food, they prepared it perfectly and mixed it with some amazing flavors on the plate.

The beer selection is a little limited, but they make that up with wine.

The price is high, and for Texas, i'm sure it's insanely high.  They seemed to welcome anyone, so don't feel judged, but Ohm's definitely impressed me.

It's hard to recommend places to go in Amarillo. It's a night life that suffers from lack of identity, red necks, townies playing hipster and that  the selections of places are slim. That being said I miss this place and come here every time I make it back home (once a year). The bar has everything that your boozy pallet needs. Imports, excellent range of liquors, wine and a staff that never disappoints. They can make signature cocktails, flavored martinis, or your favorite stand by's. If your there order a Show Dog, a pink drink that was started there that packs a punch.

The crowd is eclectic as Amarillo can get and the food is excellent as well. Late at night the staff plays a pretty good mix of music on their CD player. I have been here with a group, on a date and flying solo to start out the night, always having a good time. Hours vary by the crowd so don't be surprised if the bar closes early on weekday nights. Drink up kids!

Great for a quiet meal. We went for a business lunch. Food was very good. (No kids running around)
Personally, I won't go when bar area is open, which is in the evening. But it's great during the daytime hours.

One of the friendliest bars in town. I love this bar, you can go here have a nice conservation with friends without losing your voice.

Overpriced and antiquated atmosphere and location.

Don't go here unless you want to be stared at and judged by all of the regulars.

On my first night in Amarillo on a business trip I couldn't find any real restaurants to eat in and I began to worry because I had to be in town for 4 nights.  But thankfully today I was with a colleague who was local and he took me to Ohms for lunch and showed me that Amarillo is not a culinary wasteland.  Either the lunch was really good or I had just set my standards so low that I really enjoyed it.  Kind of an interesting lunch place.  They have 4 or 5 dishes available for lunch that they serve up cafeteria style.  But the lunch dishes are really well done.  I had the chicken marsala over rice with vegetables and a cup of tortilla soup.  After virtually starving myself the previous day because I couldn't find any decent food, this was a very welcome meal!  But if you are thinking of coming here for dinner, pay attention to the hours.  They are not open for dinner every day of the week.

This is the place my brother's family chose to have the rehearsal dinner at  on the night before my niece's wedding and it was wonderful!  Her uncle was in the restaurant  business so I knew it would be good if he chose it and we certainly weren't disappointed.  We went through a cafeteria-style line to choose our food--my mother and I got a steak or prime rib that had a rich flavor and was melt-in-your-mouth tender.  It was so good we didn't have any leftovers.  The atmosphere was very comfortable and friendly and we all had a great time.  I would highly recommend this place to anyone.  Bon appetite!

OHMS employs the best bartenders in town. If you want a good martini and are in town for whatever reason, this place won't disappoint. Eat dinner up front then move to the back bar area for the evening. You'll notice most of the people here are regulars but they will immediately identify you as a stranger and then you'll get to be the most popular person in the bar for a night.

Among the best places to eat in Amarillo- most recent visit I had the scallops and beef tenderloin with a mixed greens salad and the beef sliders for an appetizer.  Truly delicious!  They have tweaked a few things in the dining room (love the new wine cabinet).  If you are looking for a great meal in Amarillo, your first consideration should be OHMS.

Ohms cafe is excellent. One really should come down and try their fresh fare. Hard to find something better in Amarillo.
One complaint is that it, like everything else in Amarillo, closes a little too early for my taste. It would be super nice if they stayed open on nights where there were events downtown. For instance, many of the symphony or music society goers would be sure to appreciate an after show snack.
