The tavern is an experience, especially on busy nights. We were here for the countdown to new years 2013 and talk about busy. It was standing room only and getting a drink was a planned event. The music was great atmosphere was fun the only reason its not 5 star is getting a drink was a battle. If you are ever in town for Steelman's birthday stop by for a serious cayucos party.
Review Source:This place is quite a gem in the middle of nowhere. Actually its within 30 minutes of Hearst Castle and about 45 minutes from Paso Robles. So in the event you want to wake up on the beach and trek inland for wine tasting, Old Cayucos Tavern is a place to visit. It is a SUPER DIVE BAR, but is plenty of fun. Live music On the weekends), shuffleboard, and an eclectic gathering of people all in the name of having a good time. For those who like to play a game of cards, accidentally venture your way to the back and ask nice. As noted before, CASH ONLY.
