This is, hands down, our favorite bar and eating establishment!! Â Food isn't just bar food, it's awesome, from the breaded tenderloin (that's almost big enough to sleep on) to the prime rib. Â Dining room is closed off and non-smoking....I figured that you'd still be able to smell the smoke, but you can't. Â Go in the winter/fall and the HUGE fireplace will keep you warm. Â Go early and stay late! Â Plus, it's has the only ATM in Rockville!
Review Source:Old Rock Tavern charmed me from the moment I walked in. The bar is tastefully designed in an old tavern motif with wooden double doors at the entrance, rugged stone walls, barn tin ceiling, complete with a tasteful nude lady painting overlooking the bar. They have shuffle board, a pool table, and a touch video gaming machine to keep you entertained while you get your drink on.
We arrived around 9:30/10:00 pm and the bar wasn't crowded yet. Literally within the time it took us to order drinks and grab a table, patrons began to pour in. There was a good mix of people from those barely old enough to legally drink - to the older set- all looking to have a good time.
There is also a CD music machine withe a decent selection of country and oldies - you won't hear Lady Gaga here (THANK GOOOODNESS) but you can't go wrong with some good ol' George Strait and David Alan Coe.
The tavern's drink specials are amazing. They were running a half price shot special, the beer is cold, the service is friendly, plenty of good looking people for both sexes to oogle, and the big bonus CLEAN RESTROOMS!
I will definately be returning next time I visit Missouri.
