Ole Hickory BBQ

A good option for those that live NE of town.  Good size portions for the price and a good selection of side items.

New to the area and a local took me there for the first time. Well worth the drive. The BEST pork I've ever had, bar none. The baked beans were exceptionally good, and the potato salad and slaw were also delightful. This plate was only $5.95 or so... a fantastic deal. I left with a happy and full belly.

I made a mistake by putting extra sauce on the pork; it wasn't needed, as it was served perfectly as it was. Lesson learned! :)

The only negative was the over-fried hushpuppies. Very heavy and fried; something more like Cajun Cafe's light and flakey hushpuppies would be sheer perfection.

Excellent service and ambiance; can't wait to go back for the best BBQ plate ever!!!  Highly recommend!

We live just down the road from Ole Hickory. We often stop in for good southern BBQ and some of Drews made from scratch desserts (pies and cakes). Drew and Denise are always friendly and run a friendly crew. Ole Hickory is a country restaurant with overall good service and good food.

They often participate in and/or lead community fundraisers. Although a small business they often give back to the community.
