After reading various reviews online, we walked on very sore feet from The Tremont Hotel seeking a decent sandwich and some imported beer. The reviews suggested that we'd encounter something like an Irish pub, but we opened the door, found one patron at the bar, and a couple playing pool in a thick cloud of cigarette smoke. Â The place was dark and dingy, and yellowed by smoke from days long gone. It may be fit for drinking, smoking and playing pool, but not for eating.
Review Source:A couple weeks ago we were on a mission to visit some of the coolest bars in the strand area. If it wasn't for a local showing us around, I don't know if we would have found this place right away and that would have been a shame!
We got here toward the last quarter of the game and ordered a few drinks while we looked over the menu. They have a lot of sandwich options but what caught my eye was the Frito Pie. I had a weird craving for meaty chili and it did not disappoint. Our server was really nice and joked around with us. We got the bill and were pleasantly surprised at how cheap it was for the quality. We will be back again and I'm super excited for the food.
