Willie G's Seafood & Steakhouse

got the appetizer sampler which included seafood quesadilla, shrimp cabo, and stuffed seafood jalapenos. shrimp cabo was pretty amazing. the other 2 were good as well.  jalapenos had some kick to them but not too spicy.

i got the ribeye medium rare and it was cooked to my order and was very flavorful. the au jus or sauce or whatever that came with the steak was delicious as well. my gf got the strip steak and that was delicious as well too.

for sides, we got grilled asparagus, roasted vegetables, both which were pretty standard. and texas rice and parmesan risotto. these two were very good i thought. texas rice isn't anything fancy or special but still tasted really good. and they gave me a lot of it... maybe bc its so cheap to make.

the view of the harbor/bay is also real nice at night. we wanted an outdoor table but they were all full. we got a table right next to the window that separated us from the outdoor seating, which still had a great view.

drinks, pina colada, long island (beach) tea, and some margarita i forget were all good sizes and tasted great as well. i regret not getting scotch with my steak though... if they served scotch... just a personal preference.

i'd definitely go again. we went at like 8pm on a friday night and it wasn't too crowded.

This place is AMAZING!  I ate here twice on my last trip to Galveston.  Once for brunch and for the final place we ate before leaving!  When we were there for brunch it was the busiest time of the day.  We sat at the bar and ordered food there.  The bar tender was completely swamped and it did take a little time to get served, but he had such great hospitality that it made up for the wait!  

I had the redfish which was amazing, and my husband had the stuffed shrimp wrapped in bacon... DIVINE!

If you are going to galveston you absolutely have to go to this restaurant!
