The Opera House is awesome! Â We've been to numerous concerts and movies there this past year. Â The venue is like a trip back in time and the staff are most accommodating and friendly. Â I highly recommend this for the adventurer seeking to try something just a little bit different than a weekend night at the big screen, suburban theatres. Â For the history lover, it's a trip back in time. Â Please keep up the great work and concert line-up. Â Be sure to notice the chandelier in the foyer when you arrive - :)
Review Source:Wonderful restored theater showing indie movies and live music. The popcorn is great, and the decor is super-pretty and fun. Staff is mostly college students and tend to be quite friendly. Fresh, yummy coffee, a choice selection of sodas and candy rounds out tthe experience.
A major drawback is the seating. Antique metal rows of chairs are TINY and HARD. Try to grab a pillow or two as you go to your seat - you will want one for your back as well as your tush - or bring your own. (They really should provide pillows for every seat.)
They also occasionally feature unique events, like a burlesque night. This is a place to be treasured and supported.
terrible management!! larry is a terrible and aggressive manager!!
Well it turns out Larry is the owner!
Lawrence Cumbo is his name.
Look up his 1-star movies on IMDB. He bought this armpit opera house and now thinks he's a big shot.
After I told "Larry" I would be writing poor reviews of his establishment HE KICKED ME OUT! FOR REAL!
