I've only been here twice, but it was two days in a row. I'm not from the area, I'm from Boston and I was visiting a friend. In my two visits I had the mozzarella sticks and potato skins appetizers, a meatball sandwich, and a pizza cheesesteak. I liked all the food, and I loved the 32 oz, $4 mugs of Yuengling. They don't do stuff like that in Boston. You can barely even get a regular beer at a bar for $4. If I lived in Mt. Holly I'd go there all the time just for that.
The only downside was that I found the waitstaff to be quite inattentive. The first day we went the waitress asked if we needed more time with the menus and we said yes. She literally waited at least 10 minutes to come back. The next day I had finished my mug of beer and was still thirsty and our waiter just kept passing by our table doing other things without asking if I wanted another. The empty mug is huge, it's impossible to miss. Maybe I'm just an impatient New England resident, but the service definitely left something to be desired. A little sense of urgency would make it a 5-star establishment in my book.
Tried Otts for a quick bite after a meeting. Â The tuna over spinach salad (recommended by the server) Â was excellent. Â The raspberry beer was refreshing on a summer night. Â My only complaint was smoking. Â Really - I thought the days of eating with smoke were over. Â Although the food was good, we will think twice about dining on the outdoor smoking patio.
Review Source:If anyone actually reads these posts, I hope Ott's takes this to heart. Â Your Medford location is great and I'm sure My Holly could top them but go out and get a permit and put a door on the Main Street. Â I will not park in that lot and walk down that dark alley/street to come in the side door. Â I do not feel safe. Â Sorry but I'll take the drive and stick with Medford.
Review Source:Great place!!! the food is really tasty and the service is outstanding!!! We were there tonight and everyone working there was very friendly. I highly recommend the teriyaki chicken salad. Â The interior is really nice and I love the changes inside. Â There are plenty of TVs so you can't miss the games and the inside is very clean. Â Parking is a challenge, but quite frankly, not the nightmare described in the previous review. Â We parked on the street (no problem) and I have never had a problem parking in the lot behind Otts (we've used that lot for various businesses over the last 10 years). When the weather is nice, it's lovely to sit on the patio upstairs. Â I was pleasantly surprised to see a kids' menu on the menu too. Â I thought it would be more bar than restaurant, and I'm so pleased to learn that it's a great place to have a family dinner and get a drink with dinner.
Review Source:This spot replaces an Italian pizza parlor that existed there previously. I think it's an improvement and a welcome addition. The bar has a large number of beers on tap and is also fully stocked with liquors. The food menu consists of typical bar food. I would recommend the buffalo wings and shrimp as they had a good deal of kick to it. The bar has multiple flat screens that run the length of both sides of the bar. It makes for a great place to catch Sunday football games. I think downtown Mt. Holly has a winner.
Review Source:My husband & I stopped by last week to check out Ott's new location in downtown Mt. Holly and were sadly disappointed. Parking is a nightmare - you either have to park in one of the 3-4 spots on Mill Street and risk having your mirrors taken off, or park down the dark alley about a half block away. To start our meal off, we ordered the chicken nachos ($9.00). The nachos showed up, and boy do I wish I could post the picture here because they were a sight to be seen, and even more disgusting to eat. The nachos consisted of chips in a bowl with Cheez-Wiz dumped on them, and then greasy chicken dumped on top of that. That's it! No lettuce, no tomatoes, no real cheese, nothing but chips, microwaved Wiz & gross chicken. All this for $9!!! Our entrees then arrived - I ordered a buffalo chicken cheesesteak - which was made of the same greasy chicken that they put on our "nachos" with some hot sauce mixed in. My husband's pizza steak tasted better. Oh, and to make things more interesting, as we were eating, we saw a homeless man approaching patrons outside in the alley, and also another young gentleman smoking a joint in the same alley. Avoid this place at all costs - there are many better eating establishments within a 2 mile radius.
