Passing through and discovered this little gem. Don't let this dive fool you... the food is stellar. We had smoked mullet, which was incredible. The fish basket came with very tasty hush puppies and fries, all served to order piping hot. The service is super friendly. When passing through, recommend stopping on by.
Review Source:This is not the cleanest place you will ever visit. It is not the most modern. It is not high city, high class, or high dollar. In short, it's just about perfect.
They shuck the oysters in front of you, straight from a cooler, and they are hyper-friggin'-local. As in, they probably drink with the tongers who bring 'em there. This is a local place that tolerates locals with plenty of good humor.
I've been here twice to eat and stopped other times as well. The story behind the place is pretty cool: Miss Dorothy was a dog groomer, and the owners wanted to close down the place, so rather than let it go dark or get bought by developers, she bought it - and she works the place, too. Locals seem to love it, as do people driving US 98 who stop by for the oysters or fish dip.
Look, this is a vintage Florida roadside oyster bar. If you don't like it here, you should probably not be in the state. Outzs Too is as real (and as tasty) as it gets.
Stopped here on my way to a beach weekend, had a dozen oysters and a beer. Â It was good.
Stopped on the way BACK from the weekend, and had a dozen oysters, and a large smoked mullet, and iced tea. Â It was good.
Place doesn't look like much from the outside (or the inside either, come to think of it) but it's clean, the staff is pleasant, and will talk with you if you like. Â A couple of tables inside, and lots of bar stools. Â Large seating area (picnic tables) outside, with netting to keep the bugs down.
Right at the St. Marks River bridge on US98, west bank. Â Don't be afraid. Â Go.
No frills Florida biker stop in the middle of nowhere...and I'm not a biker. Â But I was looking for decent seafood in the area, and after looking around St Marks, I found this place instead. Good food! Â I had the basket combo with fried shrimp & fish, hush puppies, and fries. Â All excellent...especially with beer. Â
Place is simple and people are friendly enough. Â Dylan would say it's "real." Â Give it a try....
While on a road trip we were looking for a place to watch the FIFA Women's World Cup--a difficult task in the South. Ouzts, Too did not disappoint! Despite the fact that no one here was the least bit interested in soccer, they put they game on for us on their best t.v.
Tasty food--oysters were shucked right at the bar in front of us, friendly service, and an overall cool place to hang out. Large bar, one pool table, two t.v's, one of which is big-screen; there is also seating outside on the patio. Compared to California prices, the food we ate was cheap.
This is not a 'rough-bar' as one reviewer said. Looks like primarily a hang-out for locals, most of whom are bikers, and all of whom were friendly and kept to their own business. Just don't be a jack-ass in their establishment and you'll have a good time.
Next time I'm in Florida, I'm coming back here for sure.
We had to slam on the brakes and do a u-turn when we saw the sign for fish dip outside this little hole in the wall. Â It was a bit scary walking in, as it's more of a rough bar than a restaurant, but the food did not disappoint. Â We had smoked mullet, fish dip and oyster stew. Â The oysters were shucked right in front of us. Â Just close your eyes and go eat here.
