How do you compare when there's no comparison?  Ryan and his brother Ben keep the beer flowing on Thursday afternoon for those of us in the consultant army.  Our flights home just wouldn't be the same without them.

While the beer selection may not be the best, I would ask that if you don't like it, go somewhere else.  That will of course involve renting a car and most likely missing your flight.

Slow Saturday and time for a drink before the flight. I ordered a margarita but Ryan said he was out of mix. Ok then. The beer orders challenging with a Bud Light and Miller Lite. He confirmed the order 4 times and twice he got is wrong. Oh and we were the only ones in the bar. Asked if I wanted a tab. "Sure" I said then he asked or a name. I'm sure that's standard procedure but we are the only two here. I'm sure he was too busy surfing on his iBook to put our faces to memory.
I know it's slow. I get it, but show some pride in your job Ryan. If you don't want it,  I'm sure there are hundreds out of work in the area that will work harder than you and remember our beer order the first time around. Enjoy your smoke break.

I've flown into and out of XNA (Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport) a dozen or so times and I rarely see this place open. For those who don't know, Benton County (where this airport is located) is a "moist" county. That means that there are restaurants where alcohol is sold (you have to sign the book at the front, which is a total joke) and you have to consume it on site. There are no gas stations with coolers full of beer. There is no state liquor store where you can stock up on vodka and tequila. So if you want to have a few beers in your fridge, you have to drive across the border into Washington County or up to Missouri. Crazy, but it's the law.

But here we are at the airport and being able to kill some time in the airport bar is awesome! Full bar with at least eight taps of draft beer, including Boulevard (yay!) and Shiner Bock. A little on the expensive side ($6 for above mentioned Boulevard), but not excessive considering it's in the airport. Stools along the wall, plus high-top tables in the center and a bar, I was most pleased to find power along the wall, so I could use the wi-fi and top up power on the iPhone.

Now if the place would just be open more often when I'm here, it would rock!
