I've been twice for happy hour because they have guinness on tap and that is all I got. Â The bartender has been friendly and conversational on both accounts. Â it was very quiet I suppose because its early during the week and so I was just about he only one in the bar almost the whole time. Â He made sure to ask if I wanted a refill when my drink got low. Â There were some credits left on the jukebox so I got to play some music for free but the default seems to be country music. Â I aim to go back late tonight since wednesday is ladies night.
Review Source:This place was incredibly shady. We stopped in after dinner. As part of a bachelorette party we were looking for a little fun, but this place was like a college dive bar and did not fit with the rest of the area which is full of cute little shops, laid back bars and nice restaurants.
Inside the floor was sticky, there was a $25 minimum for credit card charges and there was smoking allowed (disgusting). It did provide for some interesting people watching as people took up a lot of room in the tiny space by dancing wildly to top 40 music. Maybe I would have found this place intriguing at 21, but definitely not now.
As a disclaimer, we didn't eat here. Our friends who have relocated to Naples wanted to brings us in on a Friday night and we obliged wholeheartedly. Â The servers are nice and most of the bartenders are pretty good looking too. The doormen were even nice! It was pretty chill when we arrived but got loud and rowdy after an hour or two. The music was pretty much all Top 40 with a few different tunes mixed in. Why only three stars? They still allow smoking here. Visiting from Chicago, it's hard to accept the fact that people are still allowed to smoke in bars. I can understand smoking on a patio, I'm totally fine with that but smoking inside is something I cannot accept and I'll avoid any place that still allows it. I would like to come back some time and try the food because it did look pretty good and as a chill place to party and catch up it seems like it meets all the criteria but the smoking has got to go.
Review Source:The staff is SO rude. And I think one was an owner. I'll never understand how restaurant owners are rude to customers?? I still can't believe the experience we had - we went to celebrate a girl friend's birthday. We literally spent all night there. When we arrived separately, no one said anything to use that we could not have separate cards for paying the tab later.
At the end of our evening, it took us 45 minutes to pay!! We were told by our server if we asked to use more than two cards we would be yelled at. And some cranky lady came over to our table and completely started yelling at us. She swore at us and was completely, completely inappropriate - all we wanted to do was pay our tab!!! I still can not believe it.
Oh, and I did not find out until we got the bill that they were serving me a WAY more expensive liquor than I had asked for!!!!! Unbelievable.
There are so many other options in downtown Naples, there's no reason to go here. It's a shame and embarrassment to an Irish pub - I've never been to such a crappy pub in Ireland, U.S. or anywhere else in the world. My boyfriend from Ireland is so embarrassed by this place, to say very least.
In my opinion, this is the better pub on 5th. Beer is cheaper, feels more like the places I used to visit in college. It is a casual atmosphere.
The servers are very cute and friendly.
I always have a great time hanging out here with friends.
The inside has tons of photos of celebrities and sports memorabilia on the wall.
Live music is usually very good and gets the crowd involved.
If your coming here for an "Irish Bar" then you will be dissappointed especially if your from the North East or Ireland. I felt like I walked into a college town and with all the country music being played on the jukebox I felt like I was back in Oklahoma. The food was ok, I'm sure its all frozen though. But if your in downtown and want to go to a dive bar full of mid 20's to 30 year old at night then go there. But if you want a real Irish Pub then don't go because I felt no irish pub vibe what so ever. Also should note the bartenders will skip a song you play if they don't like it. I thought that was kinda ridiculous for them to have that power since people come there to drink and pay for songs they like.
Review Source:Despite the name, this place is about as Irish as any corner tap, which is pretty much what Paddy Murphy's is. Service was not particularly good the night we visited.  The best thing to recommend this place is that, in a sea of upscale restaurants that cater to Naples' senior population, this place is a comfortable if unremarkable  downscale bar for a cold drink.
Review Source:This doesn't really feel like an Irish pub to me. The drinks are expensive, which is true to 5th Avenue, and the seating is horrific. We always end up sitting outside cause there is never room inside. I don't mind standing but the way this place is laid out, you're standing in the middle of the floor with people always looking to walk through where you are standing. I never have known what makes this place an "Irish" pub. If you want to get knocked off your bar stool by drunks, come here...cause it has happened to my friends and I.
Review Source:If you're looking for what an Irish pub would feel like on a college campus, this is your place. Â If not, run the other way.
It's a little bit of a dive, but I loved Paddy Murphy's. Â It had cheap beers (bucket of 5 was about $15) and $5 shots. Â The crowd when I went was split between younger college students (over spring break) and local heavy drinkers.
The live music wasn't amazing, but it gave the bar a great ambiance for a dive bar. Â This place isn't for everyone, but our group had a really fun night!
Yes a typical Irish bar which would be way cool any where else.... But since they are the only real pub in town.. Guess what? Yes all your local loud mouth men and loose women are here. I'm sure this is 'their' Â night to shine... Â Don't hold it against Steve the bar tender! Great service. Only go here if your in the mood.... Way laid back mood!
Review Source:This is your typical Irish bar in a somewhat atypical place for what it is. Â Nestled between upscale restaurants and real estate brokerages with $1MM+ listings, you'll find this cash only, smoke filled bar with loud, drunk patrons who are there to let it all hang out. Â And hang out they did. Â There were overtanned old ladies, schwilling and gabbing at peak decibels, the yacht set, some NYers, and one dude with so much "ice" (read: diamonds) dripping off of him, he looked like an NFL player on vacation cause his team didn't make the playoffs. Â
Fun spot to take in the scene in Naples. Â I'd go back.
Cash only, smoking permitted. 2 downfalls. only place that stays open til 2am on 5th. drinks are pretty cheap and flowin, typical irish bar, sometimes have a band or singer. good place to just hang out. better to sit outside so u dont inhale too much secondhand smoke and its not as noisy.
