Papa Jimmie's

Went here to eat before we went to visit my dad at The Springs. Service was slow even though we had the specials. The waitress was scatter-bra ined. Food was adequate but not noteworthy.

This place is bad. Unless you are a local that likes this sort of gross, greasy, food-service company food, go elsewhere. I don't usually rate places this poorly  but there is nothing redeeming about this hole in the wall. Move on.

Any place that claims "world famous Papa Jimmie's Ohio Bar-B-Q & Pizza" has to be good or it wouldn't last. I started with the Papa's Loaded Pulled Pork Fries ($7) which was a meal of and of itself. A base layer of thick-cut hand-cut fries is topped with pulled pork and an ice cream scoop sized serving of cold slaw with sweet baby ray BBQ sauce included. The friends that took us called it the sundae and I can see why. Wife chose duck butter and pretzels ($2.50) which is a cream cheese based cheese ball with classic pretzels. Another tasty treat.

For my meal, I went with the Bar-B-Q Combo ($9.85) which features 5 ounces of smoked brisket and 5 ounces of pulled pork with two sides - I chose grape salad and sweet potato fries. The brisket was tender but fatty. Everything else was delicious.

Wife got a 12-inch pizza with onions, black olives and mushrooms ($6.50). The crust is a potato base which makes it super soft compared to traditional doughs.

A must try spot for anyone that loves pizza or BBQ!
