Came to The Patio to have breakfast on Sunday morning. Called ahead to make sure they were still serving it and they said as long as we arrived by 11:30 we'd be good.
We arrived around 11:25 and the hostess confirmed we could still order breakfast and got us seated outside w/ our breakfast menus. We asked for an umbrella because it was really hot/sunny but nobody ever came to put it up- so we ended up doing it ourselves. (STRIKE 1)

10 long minutes later, our server came to take our order and informed us that we couldn't order breakfast because it was after 11:30... UGH!
    (STRIKE 2)

We decided to stay since we were already there and order "lunch". We ordered 2 peach crisp desserts, 2 mimosas, a sandwich, and an artichoke appetizer. The food was OK. The peach crisp was MUSHY, WATERY and gross- topped with a pinch of oats.
    (STRIKE 2.5)

Not once (in over an hour) did the waitress come and check on us, ask us how things were, or refill our water (or mimosas). We decided to cut it short and leave because it was getting irritating and a little ridiculous. We waited, some of us standing ready to leave, and nobody came with our bill. Finally, I had to walk inside to the hostess and tell her that we were ready to leave. It took at least another 5 minutes for the waitress to come out with it. She didn't ask how things were, but instead said "you guys are my only table out here, I feel like I'm neglecting you- im sorry about that.".
Needless to say, there was no $ Tip. And I don't feel the least bit bad about it.
    (STRIKE 3)

Won't be returning, not even for breakfast.

I think they have a lot of employees writing reviews, because this place is awful. It is located among a bunch of car dealerships and is in the back of a casino of sorts. It is noisy and has quite a few questionable people. We ordered food and that took a while. Then a mariachi band set up and began to play. They were very loud for this small restaurant and we could not even have a decent conversation. The food finally came as we just wanted to eat and leave. My meal was cold so it was sent back to be reheated. The four of us usually order dessert and coffee, but we wanted to leave so we skipped it.

This is a nice place to pick up lunch on weekdays, I've been here a few times already and they have great prices.  It is in a weird place and you feel like you're buying a car but its worth a try.

I'm only giving them 3 stars however because the food has really been hit or miss, they don't seem to have consistency which is critical in any restaurant.  If I have to recommend a dish to try it would be their Ahi Salad!

This is a dinner review. I have no idea how the brunch is or breakfast is. Tried it on a thursday night. It was pretty dead. I ordered one the evening's specials: Kung Pao shrimp. It was basically stir-fried veggies with peanuts and shrimp with spicy teriyaki sauce over rice. The veggies were overcooked and mushy, the rice was even mushier (the consistency of mashed potatoes), and the dish was absolutely drowning in a lake of sauce. The shrimp itself wasn't bad. But overall the dish was terrible. What can you expect for $6.95? The person with me had a couple of $2 tacos which she said were decent, definitely worth $2.

The service was fine. Maybe they have better items on the menu, but I doubt that I'll be back to find out. The way you do one thing is the way you do everything, in my experience.

Great food! Best to go for the Vietnamese food Tuesday though Saturday.  Best egg rolls ever!

Nice clean restaurant.  Ryan was a wonderful server but the food was horrible -- the fishy salmon and my boyfriend's tri tip with soy sauce were "edible".

The 20.00 champagne brunches appear to be significantly overpriced.  Never again

Great spot for a quick, inexpensive dinner. $5 burger and you can't go wrong.

Great breakfast, brought family before casino opened and we loved it! Waffles - good, biscuits and gravy - great, country fried steak - amazing. Not gamblers, but would come back for food any day.

Was hoping for some decent chow when I found they had an Asian chef on staff for the lunch menu....

The Vietnamese Pho bowl (recommended by the ectomorphic female bartender) consisted of cold vermicelli noodles topped with reheated greasy bacon left-overs from breakfast and burnt meat strips, decorated with ground nuts and some OK cooked shrimp. Sent it back.

Pulled pork was OLD, dry, chewy and the sauce was 75% vinegar. Sent it back.

Bloody Mary was good. Iced tea was also good.

Walked out hungry, but went two blocks over to the traveling Hot Dog cart (Oh My Gosh Hot Dogs)  and downed a good ole'  bacon (fresh)wrapped Nathan's frankfurter.  So much better...

Food was good, not busy at all when we went on a wknd morning.  Sat outside on the patio.  It was new decor and upscale.  Loved the young athletic guys strolling thru the patio to go inside and gamble or watch sports or whatever, because of the cool expensive cars they were pulling up in!  Used to see cool cars all the time when I lived in OC, but not so much in Ventura.  Well I found them, they are all in this parking lot, at least at the time I went, on a wknd just a week or two after the place opened.

What else?  They have a designated smoking area that looked like a bus stop btwn the parking lot and the outside patio area, and they enforce use of it.  Some old lady strolled out and sat at an empty table like she owned the place and lighted up.  I didn't appreciate that she acted like my family, including my young daughter weren't there as she puffed away up wind of us.  Less than 5 min into this old tramp's smoking session, a server came out an immediately shooed her off the patio.  Yeah!  You almost never see that happen and so quickly, unprecedented!

My dad loves this place.  We eat here on a weekly basis during the afternoon.  The staff is always of service and very friendly.  The menu has too many options to choose from and they also have a Vietnamese menu.  Two thumbs up to the Chef.

Hadn't heard of this restaurant but won a gift cert on the radio. Decided to try it out & take my uncle. My order came pretty quick my  uncles delayed a lil. The waiter was attentive & apologetic. Said his meal was delayed due to a mix up but was putting his meal on the house. Restaurant automatically made up for error w/ out us having to complain. The food was great & service was excellent.. Would def go there again

Terrible! I came here for the first time with my fiancé and his father for brunch. I read the great reviews on Yelp, and thought we'd give it a try. When we arrived, the place looked really new & clean. We parked in the back and entered through the restaurant side, not the casino side. The hostess (or waitress) seated the three of us with menus. There were only 2 placings (napkins, knives, forks etc.) and the waitress didn't bring us a 3rd one until later, which we had to ask for. Our waitress started us with waters, and my father-in-law ordered a coffee, and my fiancé ordered a grapefruit juice. Easy enough, right? The coffee came right away, and the waitress said she would have to check if they had grapefruit juice (I would assume they would, since they had a full bar). She came back some time later, and said they did have the juice, but didn't bring it, and said she would be back with it. Another 10-12 minutes went by, and then she came back to take our order. We ordered simple egg dishes (egg sandwich, eggs benedict and an eggwhite omlette... All with fruit bowls. Simple.). When she was finished taking our order, I had to remind her about the grapefruit juice my fiancé ordered 15 minutes ago. The waitress rudely replied that she had to get it from the bar, and it would be up in a minute. Okay, I get it... I work in a restaurant too, and our juices come from the bar also. Maybe the bar is busy.... (they really weren't packed, but I let it slide). Finally she comes back with the juice. Then we sat for about 20 mins with nothing on the table. Our waitress didn't come by to check on us once, or refill our drinks (which I had finished all of my water, my father-in-law drank his water and coffee, and my fiancé drank all his juice and water. Our cups were empty). Finally the waitress came back around and apologized that our breakfast was taking so long, but didn't offer up any refills. When our food did come up, it was cold! And the fruit bowls were warm! It was gross. And the food didn't even look good. I couldn't eat. Also, my fiancé had ordered the 3 fruit crepes on the menu... When they came out, there were only 2, and they weren't even real crepes... They were rolled up pancakes stuffed with the same fruit that was used in the fruit bowls. Disgusting. I had to call a manager over to let her know my disappointment in the meal and the service. She apologized, made some BS excuses, and then comped our breakfast. We still left our server a tip, but that will be the last they ever see of us.

Came here for the first time this past Sunday for dinner. The food was delicious and our server was really nice. The only negative part of our visit was the fact that we waited 45 minutes after placing our drink order to actually receive our drinks.

I'm so elated that there's a great sports bar in Ventura now! Food is great and full bar for Sunday morning football bloodies!  Service and staff are top notch! They have individual sound boxes so you can listen to your game.  At least 8-10 tvs.  Oh and the cupcakes are soooo goooood!  I hear there's a Vietnamese menu weekdays which I'm dying to try!

West Cooke has done a great job of creating a diverse menu for just about everyone. I had a rib eye last Sunday that was, no exaggeration, one of the best I have ever had. Its definitely a sports bar/casino atmosphere but the Patio motif is fun and engaging.

For dessert there are the amazing ShoCakes cupcakes . . . you'll be back for more!

We visited yesterday for the first time for Sunday football.  Our regular 10am game spot is (tragically) no longer serving breakfast so I was really excited to check out what the Patio had to offer.

The restaurant is bright and clean and the service was awesome!  Ryan took great care of us.  I LOVED the portable speakers for the tables so you can tune in to the audio of the game you're watching, that's a really nice touch.

3 hours, a veggie egg white omelet, and 4 splits of champagne later... I was a fan!

I mistakenly posted a review for El Patio here instead of a review for THE Patio (h/t to the gent who pointed this out). My apologies Mr and Mrs Patio.

This place was actually pretty good. I was surprised. We were stuck at the dealership while waiting for our car to be serviced, so we walked over to get some lunch. The service was good. The food was good. The prices were remarkably reasonable. The booze was varied. I even tried the bacon maple cupcake and darnit if it wasn't fantastic. This place was definitely a pleasant surprise.

If we had to have the car serviced out there again, I'm sure we'd go have lunch.

Tip: Park in back so you don't have to walk through the casino.

Been here twice with a group of 8 other friends.  Both times food was warm at best.  Wait staff not to organized and coffee was served luke warm.  I had the chicken fried steak, If I ever go back I'll never order that again, the gravy was ok but it was only warm and the chicken fried steak was way to over done.  I mean shoe leather done!!  Not worth 13.00.  The second time I went the food was still just warm. but the coffee was hot.  I've only been here twice and both times for breakfast.  Can't say how dinner is here.  They definatly need to work on thier breakfast presentation.

Went to watch the 49ers destroy the Bills on Sunday, 10-7-12.  The Patio is great! Our server was Diana and she was very attentive.  At 3p they started serving $3 pints of Firestone DBA and another non-Coors/Bud light brew (which was delicious).  We also bought the $10 for $20 Yelp coupon before going in (I highly recommend this if the deal is still on).  What sold me on visiting the Patio were other Yelper reviews that told of individual speakers brought to your table so you could listen to the game of your choice.  How cool is that?  We started with Bloody Mary's (pretty good), had a couple beers & ordered the hot wings (6 of the Hot & 6 of the 'Atomic' or whatever they called it).  The wings were OK - the sauce was pretty heavy & I could have done with about 2/3's of the sauce.

Summary: Sunday football - be here.  Great service, full bar, good beer on tap, plenty of TV's and one projector projecting on a large drop down screen.  Food was so/so, but I've only had the wings.  We sat outside and enjoyed the warm sunshine.

P.S. Sailor Jerry girls were there giving away free tasters. Can't beat that!

I went for the poker and stayed for the food, drink and outstanding service.

This new sports bar theme backside of players casino called "the patio"  is pretty awesome. I used to kill my time on poker tournament breaks talking on my phone outside now i head str8 here. Lots of flat screens, just a beautiful restaurant and bar.

The whole attitude can be summed up with the story behind the bar name at The Patio restaurant. There is a wonderful older gentleman who has knocked me out of a few tournaments, he must be nice cuz i still like him lol. Hes a great Irish guy who likes his scotch and poker. In their infinite wisdom they named the bar after Patrick. In my opinion that demonstrates how they treat their and value customers.

The servers are lovely and the food is top notch, management is doing an outstanding job. In fact, a little while ago a great barkeep recommended the Pho soup (sometimes they have a Vietnamese chef) she was right, it was awesome.

On sundays its all about football, they have a nice theme and its a great place to watch the game. If u put on ur teams jersey and head over ull fit right in.

Anyways check it out, i bet ull like it!

Pulled pork, 25 oz Stella and great conversation with folks around us.  The patio with a little TV was very cool and relaxing.  The potential is huge.

The food here is awesome when the Asian chef is cooking his menu. He is only there certain hours and he has a separate menu. Our favorite is the cold shrimp spring rolls. The rest of the time they offer good American food with a few fusion dishes like the seared ahi which is great. They offer a soup of the day and various salads like the chicken Caesar with more meat than salad it seemed like. They just started live music on the outdoor patio and they happen to be one of my favorite local bands.  Zacamundo is a four piece string band who play banda , a traditional salsa that makes people want to dance.
Friday nights is my new day to go for tacos, margaritas and music!.

The microbrews are cheap and served in a generous sized glass.  If the weather is the nice, there is outdoor seating but don't expect much of a view.  I had the hamburger & tri-tip sandwich.  Both fairly priced but nothing memorable.

This place is located along Auto Center Drive in Ventura.   It's in the back of the Player's Casino which is a card club.  I'm guessing it was once a car dealership, that's why there is plenty of parking.  Had a great smoked salmon omelette and a maple bacon cupcake for breakfast ...nice cafe with reasonable prices (coffee is only $1) and a very friendly staff .  Definitely want to go back and try their lunch or dinner and maybe take advantage of the full bar they have :)

I was honestly not expecting much being that normal casino food is merely average, but man was I wrong! When you walk back into the restaurant portion of the casino there is a shift form a standard looking card's room to a sleek, mod restaurant with full bar and flat screen T.V.s. Basically imagine it as the most upscale sports bar you've ever been in, but the food transcends expectation in so many ways!
My fiancé and I started off with the Bora Bora Brew, which was made perfectly with just the right amount of ginger and citrus to give it that slightly exotic vibe you'd want from a drink with that title. Needless to say, they were plentiful on the alcohol and since I'm kind of a light weight, one drink had me going pretty good.
The food met our expectations and then some! It was seriously good food. They aren't messing around in that kitchen. My fiancé had the veggie burger on the pretzel roll, which was FRICKIN' fantastic. That pretzel bun basically made our day. It was so good. I had the ahi tuna salad with the soy/wasabi glaze and it was perfect. The ahi tuna was sushi grade tuna, lightly seared on the outside, coated with sesame seeds, and light pink in the middle. It was absolutely delicious. All in all I'd recommend this place to all of my friends. It may catch you by surprise that something this good is hidden behind a casino in a parking lot. Check it out, you won't regret it!
