I happened to be in the area working and we read the reviews on yelp and decided to check this place out.
Our waiter was very nice and attentive. I got the chicken wrap with fries and it was delicious. If I wasn't on my lunch break I would have gotten a beer because they have a great variety and it seems like the place to hang out after work.
After posting, the owner reached out to me about my time at Patrick's. He apologized for any disappointments which I experienced and offered to comp my next meal. He also gave me a list of suggestions.
"From our Irish menu: Try the Dublin Seafood Coddle, Cottage Pie or Banger's and Mash. For appetizers: try our homemade Reuben Fritters (a great snack!), Quesadilla or Bruscetta. From the sandwich menu: Try any of the Philly Cheese Steaks (we cut the rib-eye steak fresh daily!), the U-Boat or the Patrick's Original Grilled Cheeseburger. You can also try our Fish Sandwich, (voted best in Moon Township by the Tribune Review), a 3-Tiered Reuben or the Chicken Monterey Wrap. From our Dinner menu: Try our Cajun Chicken Pasta. We make all of our pasta sauces from scratch when ordered, no canned sauce! The Chicken Devonshire and Chicken Parmesan are also mouth-watering items (both are oven baked, never deep fried). Every Friday, Chef Spoon will serve a special from a fresh fish item that I personally pickup from Wholey's. These off the menu specials change every week and compare to fine dining restaurant."
I went back on Friday around 630 pm and boy were they busy. I literally got the last parking space in the lot. Â We walked through the bar and it was packed and a little loud. Since we were in a more mellow mood we walked over to the dining area (which was also packed) When we walked in there were a couple people leaving and a couple waiting to be seated in front of us. As we waited for the couple to be seated and tables to be cleared, a bunch of staff members walked by us and didn't even make eye contact. I know this may seem petty but a smile or a "we will be right with you" would have been nice. I will say that we both ordered water and iced tea and were given refills on a very regular basis.
We started with Irish Nachos which were more than enough for 3 plus people to share - a little twist on cheese fries. I would have preferred if they were a little more crispy and layered with their toppings. For dinner my husband had the Guinness stew that we had before and he was pleased. He had enough to take home for leftovers. I ordered the Cajun chicken pasta with fettuccine and hardly put a dent in it so I ate it for lunch the next day.
We had a better experience this time and with how packed it was, it is apparent that people have this has a favorite spot. If you are looking for a place to eat in Moon, go ahead and check this place out.
