Awesome! GO GO GO!!!
A small space in a completely unassuming strip mall, this place is easily overlooked, but you'd be missing out. Â I drove by a few times, finally looked up the menu on line, and I was sold. Â Walking in, it seems like someone with a couple gallons of black paint and a $40 decorating budget (and maybe some good beer/bud) got hold of this place....but press on, my friend, press on!!
The kitchen is super small and they have a few seats at the bar. Â At lunch, they had a total of 2 people working, one in the kitchen, the other serving....talk about efficient! Â Start with the chips and salsa....really good, and that's a good sign. Â The menu is short and sweet...probably about 4 or 5 apps and about the same number of main courses (tacos). Â They had a couple of specials too (they sounded great), and you can order a plate with 1, 2, or 3 tacos. Â But the ceviche was too tempting for me. Â Ended up ordering a spicy tuna and an ahi poke ceviche taco. Â The tacos were great and they did not skimp on the fish. Â Two tacos was PLENTY for me, and I was hungry. Â They are served in a rack or whatever you want to call it, but the point I'm trying to make is you can share them with the rest of the table. Â It came with rice and beans and an awesome fried plantain...easily qualified for dessert there.
On Sundays they have half price margs, and they do takeout as well. Â With the small kitchen, you might have to wait for a few minutes if a big table orders in front of you, but its well worth any wait you might have. Â On the front end, the menu had a lot of potential. Â It lived up to it and exceeded every expectation! Â Completely impressed!
