This was my first time here. I was pleasantly surprised. The decor was beautiful, and the menu items sounded great. I ordered the Sweet Potato Pie off the lunch menu. It was amazing!
The service, however? Meh. I asked her for a recommendation, since I'd never been there before. She seemed surprised by the question.
We were a group of 10 women who were catching up. We weren't ready when she came to take our order, but when we were ready, she was nowhere to be found. When she took the order, she stood at one end of the long rectangular table and had the people at the other end shout their orders to her. Drink refills were awfully slow. When she refilled my iced tea glass incorrectly with water, I reminded her. She swore under her breath, but it was in my ear.
We eat here regularly. Â The service has always been good and most of the wait staff have been there for some time. Â I definitely have my favorites as well as items that I won't get again but, on the whole, the food is honest, high quality, and good. Â Good pizza, decent burgers and salads, but thoroughly read the descriptions of the entrees and stay away from those that sound a bit odd, because they probably are.
Review Source:Dear Pepperwood,
Why must you be so inconsistent? I have had a 4 star experience and a 2 star experience here, and my in-laws who live in Greesburg have had the same...some 2 stars, some 4 stars...hence, your 3 star rating.
I have never had bad food here, actually, it has always been great for a restaurant in a mall parking lot, but the service is where the problem lies.
On my most recent visit, me, hubs, and mother in law went for lunch on Friday at 12. I was surprised when we walked in and the place was kind of empty. Not a good sign for a peak lunch hour. But, this also meant better service for us right? Wrong. We ordered salads/sandwiches, and wine to drink (we were in town for a wedding...don't judge us for drinking at 12). Â My salad was a substitute for fries, so I didn't expect it to come early, but hubs orfered a Ceasar as his appetizer, and it took a good 10 minutes for him to get it, along with our wine. The waiter actually said "sorry the salads took so long, I had to make them myself". Um, ok. I didn't realize the one other table you had and making a salad was so hard....
About 2 minutes after we got our salads, our sandwiches arrived. Oy vey. I hate that. But, I do have to say, the meal was great. I got the salmon BLT, hubs the Southwest chicken salad, and mom the salmon salad. We all walked out completely stuffed and satisfied. If they could just up their service, this would be a great spot.
Sidenote, they just renovated the bar side and it looks awesome.
