Great little hide-away! Loved the house salad variety. This old place gives a nice rustic Italian atmosphere. Staff and overall service is very friendly. Dishes are simple and elegant. Sweet Italian music in the backround. We will definitely be back for more. I'm pleasantly surprised! :)

This place sucks!  I had the roast beef and mash,  not really sure if you can mess that up but they did.  The potatoes tasted instant.  My wife had the pizza also bad it was runny and not good at all.  When asked if we wanted a to go bag we lied and told them we were traveling.

Terrible I ordered the gnocchi it was not even close to good and I did not think it was possible for gnocchi to taste bad my friend got the shrimp scampi the Spaghetti came with horrible red sauce and not garlic butter sauce like I asked for. Also, the waitresses were not very nice.

P&E's is 1/2way b/t my SO's house and mine, so we meet there. We've gone there twice now. The food is not the reason. The pasta and pizza have been reviewed as wonderful, but we got veal parm and a cod dish. Both were okay, not at all outstanding. The ambiance, however, is to drive for. Old fashioned. Timeless. Comfortable. Go to relax. Better prepared food is available elsewhere, but not their dining room.

I truly love Peppy & Eddy's. It's a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The food is terrific, the drinks perfect, and the Bocce Balls delicious--trust me! The ambiance is unique, to say the least. Without discouraging a visit, it's not for everyone. Some folks won't return. But those who do will come back again and again, as I do. I love the place, and whenever I'm in the area, I'm at Peppy & Eddy's at least once.

My neighbor told me about this place - the best thin crust pizza around and the salad is delicious.  Its off the beaten path and you pull up to a house - the owners live upstairs, kind of a cool place.  Stop for pizza , its worth the trip!!!

So I got back to Peppy & Eddy's again, and the results were kind of similiar to last time.  First my friend got his house salad and pasta fagioli, of which the salad was once again okay and the soup was pretty good.  We also got the marinated chickpeas (great), cole slaw (better than last time), bread (fresh out the oven), and sliced radish (not my cup of tea).  Then we got an appetizer of scungili in hot sauce.  The scungili was thinly sliced, had the right amount of chew, and was not rubbery as scungili can get.  The sauce it was in was spicy and flavorful, and with the bread we had there was no sauce left when the dish was taken away.

For my main I got a pizza, half white pie and half spinach.  The crust was not of the fermented soft variety that I'm used to, but the overall product wasn't terrible somehow.  They used very little yeast, which left the crust with a brittle consistency.  However, it was thin enough that this didn't hurt the pie as much as it could've.  Their white pie has mozzarella, proscuitto, and onions on it, while the spinach has spinach, garlic, and mozzarella.  The white side of things was very salty, and they cooked the proscuitto leaving it without as much flavor.  The spinach was a little overcooked, but I liked it better.  These are easily rectifiable problems, and if they got someone who knows what to do; like I said the pizza was put together well, but it wasn't what it could've been.

My friend got the veal marsala this time, which overall wasn't as good as the chicken last time.  The mushrooms weren't marinated as long this time, resulting in less flavor.  The veal they used was the dark kind of veal, and the thicker layer of breading they used didn't help things either.  It wasn't bad by any means, but it wasn't as good as last time.  One good thing though was that I finally got to see their pet raven; her name is Laura, and she even does tricks.  Birds aside, I still like Peppy & Eddy's and will be back regardless of the food, as the place is literally one of a kind.

    Disaster of a dining experience.

Upon entering, there was a sign "Please Wait To Be Seated" -- apparently they don't mean to wait near THAT sign, as there is a second entrance that someone will actually see you at.

Bread was still a bit frozen in the middle.

Pasta was edible, and maybe I'm spoiled from living in New Jersey, but was nothing to write home about.

    Save yourself.

I've been going here ever since I was a kid.  I LOVE IT!  They have THE best pizza, calamari, and salad.  I crave the salad all of the time.  The environment is the best, and service is always great.  It's hidden, and it's great the way it is.

Some girlfriends and I found this thanks to Yelp when we were in search of dinner after some wine tastings in the area.

The Italian really is top notch. We didn't get the pizza, but all of the pasta dishes we had were amazing, and we loved the salad served family style w/ their house dressing - delicious.

The ambiance is truly unique. Perhaps it was the rain that night, but to us it was kind of a mix between the Psycho hotel and a cozy family place, if that makes any sense. Plus they keep a raven/crow in a cage outside the door that caws at you as you walk by - not kidding. It definitely has a haunted feel to it, but we thought it added to the charm, I would totally go back. It's very well decorated inside.  Despite all this haunted feeling stuff we got there a little late, but tons of families were just leaving. Again, maybe it was the rain, but maybe not?

Delicious food, and such a unique place - plus it seems like half the staff is in on ownership of the place and can tell you all about it. Due to the creepiness factor you may not want to walk downstairs to the bathroom by yourself, but this place is definitely worth the trip.

a hidden treasure.don't let the olde  faded sign on NY State road 32 fool you. We've lived up here for years and thought the place was out of business until friends mentioned it was an active restaurant! Glad they did! the pizza was excellent.the service great and friendly.

My parents used to drag me to Peppy and Eddie's as a kid.  All my neighbors come here too.  Now I love this place.  It really has classic food you won't find anywhere in town.  The restaurant's ambiance is very old school and sooo beautiful.  It's this old Victorian home that is awe inspiring and is worth the trip itself.  Peppy's food almost exclusively Italian and is delicious.  If you ever shop at Woodbury Commons please leave the mall and visit Peppy and Eddie's.

The food isn't light but you get a lot of amazing home cooked goodness for your money, including a huge salad, soup, bread included with generous meal portions.

I am not lying when I say that Peppy & Eddy's is the best pizza on the planet. I'm not talking about the regular tomato sauce and cheese kind. I am talking the delicious White Pie kind.

The kind that has crispy amazing thin slices of prosciutto, onions, cheese, and I think they butter the crust (not positive, because this recipe is a highly guarded secret).

Every time we go back to NY, we must have the White Pie. Seriously. Or else I get upset.

I love Peppy's. I love how on busy nights, they only serve families that have been going there for generations (take my husband's family, for example), and that when Peppy sees me, he says I look exactly like one of his granddaughters (Uhhh... he's Italian. I'm Asian. I think he has really bad eyesight).

I also love how the actual restaurant is like walking into someone's home. Actually, it is someone's home. It's literally a house in a residential area. I love the waitresses (Celeste is sooo sweet!), and just... everything about this place.

It's going to be a sad, sad day when Peppy can't cook anymore and I won't be able to have the delicious, sweet crust and salty delicious goodness of White Pie.

In fact, I am tempted to delete this review just so no one else knows about it. But it doesn't matter anyway because YOU WON'T BE SERVED!! HAHA! :-P
