First time there, very disappointed. Requested a table near the fireplace, was not told it was in the entrance. Â Our cheese fondue appetizer had a long black hair in. When we told out server the dish with the hair was taken away, but not the appetizer. After some time we were asked if we were finished with it, which we were since we were not going to finish a dish with hair in it . We were trying to celebrate a special night ,so we didn't want to make a scene. We were offered a weak apology and nothing else. Â The food was average and not what we expected. Very disappointed and wont be back.
Review Source:My husband and I received a gift certificate for here.
Our meal was just excellent. Â My husband had the calamari for an appetizer, osso buco as the entree, and the apple fritters for dessert. Â I had the shrimp cocktail, the bow tie pasta with chicken and artichokes with vodka sauce and the apple-apricot tart with ice cream. Â Our meal was fantastic. Â The coffee was so good that we had several cups. Â The waiter and all the staff that work the meal were outstanding.
The place was really busy last night with no table remaining empty long. Â So glad I made a reservation.
The fireplace was cozy and, with the cold temps, made it extremely welcoming. The atmosphere was homey with lots of wood walls and several dining rooms.
Our dinner was great and we will certainly be back!
I wanted to like it because I heard so many raves. Â The food was just okay. I sampled all the dishes at my table. I ordered from the prix fixe (chicken with linguine), one reason was because of the price and the other was for a dessert called the chocolate surprise. I dreamed about something so lush and it was chocolate mousse sandwiched in a shell, it was disappointing. My table also ordered the apple fritters, which were okay, on the greasy side.
The service was excellent, attentive, but not overly so, which always makes for a nice experience when dining with friends.
It's expensive, be prepared.
