Time for another unfortunate update... The L and I went for dinner there recently based on the time or two we had eaten there before and had been pleased. But this time it was short of our previous experiences.

For starters, our Fresh Rolls ($6.95) were lacking visual enticement and also flavor. I think they even used iceberg lettuce! They would have greatly benefitted from a leafy dark green lettuce as well as some vibrant red cabbage like there was on a previous visit. They were essentially tasteless and nothing to look at. The Sawatdee Tofu, fried tofu served with the same sweet chili sauce as the Fresh Rolls (also $6.95) were saturated with water and tasted bland and as if they had not been cooked to order, meaning pre-made. They need to invest in a tofu press!

For my main I got the large (I guess relatively speaking to their small) vegetarian Tom Yum soup ($11.95) which came with a side of rice. I asked for it to be spicy. The soup was tasty and just what I needed to help clear my head as I was getting over a URI but for the value was way overpriced. Just some veggies in broth and a small mound of rice.  And my pot of Jasmine tea ($5) was very weak and when I asked for another tea bag or 2 for the pot, I was informed that it is drawn from a larger pot so I was SOL. She did swap it out but what for, I am not sure. That to me is inexcusable to not have freshly brewed fragrant Jasmine tea in a Thai restaurant. I tried my husband's Pad Pak Ruammit (tofu and veggies in oyster sauce), and it was the same water logged tofu and the oyster flavor was very faint... But the portion size was decent. Maybe we should have just stuck to them for lunch and not for dinner. $2-3 off their menu prices would have made the meal more palatable price-wise but overall it was still disappointing.

The restaurant itself is decorated nicely and the server we had was lovely but with my husband's entree and a tea and iced Thai tea came out to close to $60. I don't mind paying for good food but this just was not it. And for a weekend night it was pretty quiet. Maybe others know something we do not? We are always up for Thai and sadly this is just another place that we used to go...  Just a few basic improvements would make the difference for us but I guess like so many other restaurants they feel the need to do cost-cutting. :(((

After going here a few times, the food is too inconsistent to rate or trust.  The curry dish was yummy but when I go for thai I expect fresh vegetables and lots of them. We got the dish with tofu which was yummy! But the green beans were hard to come by. I miss that "this is so fresh!" feeling I want from a Thai meal (especially in the prime of summer!) The eggplant dish we got was also hit and miss. The fried eggplant we got it with was yummy, but the accompanying vegetables with oyster sauce was really disheartening. It was so salty and mushy the thought came through my mind, "is this canned?" I don't think it was canned! But the vegetables had very little flavor in all the salt sauce that had almost no spice to it.
The reason for the low rating has even more to do with how we felt After. I had that hung over on MSG feeling and my hubby had, to be polite, digestive issues. It's just not worth doing again, not to say you couldn't Chance getting a good meal, why roll the dice?
The people there, the staff, are very kind by the way. This Last time we went in to take out but in the past once or twice we ate in and has the similar inconsistent...three strikes you're out.
OHH yeah, and the "fresh spring rolls" were pretty talentless, iceberg lettuce rolled in bean paper with peanut sauce is really ---not good enough. there was seriously like 2 rice noodles inside and an invisible piece of tofu, a shred of carrot.

pleasantly surprised in general. waitress was attentive and sweet, place is nicely decorated, food was good. Prices are little higher comparing to other Thai places we been to. Soup which is usually 3.95-4.95 in other places is 8.95 for a small bowl and 12.95 for a large with rice. all appetizers are around 7 dollars which evens to a high end. entrees are around 11-13 which is "average".
Eggplant dish we had was very tasty, ke mao noddle dish was very different from what we expected but decent in general. Tom Kha Gai soup was excellent. Spice level was perfect for me as well.
Another good point - i didn't taste sugar in anything we have ordered (except thai ice tea)- and I appreciate this for sure.
