The Pickle Factory

After the first day of fishing, having dinner here is standard protocol for my family.  We had deep fried onions for appetizer.  It was served with ranch dressing.  Pretty yummy.  I ordered the deep fried fish sandwich.  The fish was very good.  It was not properly presented.  The lettuce was soaked in oil.  The sandwich was below average.  Cold Leinie's were awesome.

First time for us here this year and we were pleased to find that not much had changed since we heard  the new owners had taken over on july1st. I loved the way the previous owners were always present and would always asking each table how the meal was.

Our friends joined us. They had burgers. We had a Hawaiian pizza. This was after a reasonable wait at the bar, considering how busy it was on a holiday weekend. We had the batter fried pickles and the popcorn shrimp appetizers with our drinks at the bar.

Overall, service was a decent and they were swamped so we were happy  to have found seats at the bar and then to have gotten on the balcony for dinner, eventually. The food was good with no complaints for any of us.

I did get a chance to speak with the owner of the place as we were leaving and she informed me that they are planning to stay open for the weekends , year round !! This will be a very welcome dining option for supper around here for many of us. I'm glad to here it. Normally they had always closed the place for the entire winter.

This place has the best view in town.  We sat at the bar and had excellent service.  The food was just OK, but everything else made up for it.  Prices were reasonable too.
