After the first day of fishing, having dinner here is standard protocol for my family. Â We had deep fried onions for appetizer. Â It was served with ranch dressing. Â Pretty yummy. Â I ordered the deep fried fish sandwich. Â The fish was very good. Â It was not properly presented. Â The lettuce was soaked in oil. Â The sandwich was below average. Â Cold Leinie's were awesome.
Review Source:First time for us here this year and we were pleased to find that not much had changed since we heard  the new owners had taken over on july1st. I loved the way the previous owners were always present and would always asking each table how the meal was.
Our friends joined us. They had burgers. We had a Hawaiian pizza. This was after a reasonable wait at the bar, considering how busy it was on a holiday weekend. We had the batter fried pickles and the popcorn shrimp appetizers with our drinks at the bar.
Overall, service was a decent and they were swamped so we were happy  to have found seats at the bar and then to have gotten on the balcony for dinner, eventually. The food was good with no complaints for any of us.
I did get a chance to speak with the owner of the place as we were leaving and she informed me that they are planning to stay open for the weekends , year round !! This will be a very welcome dining option for supper around here for many of us. I'm glad to here it. Normally they had always closed the place for the entire winter.
if you are a boater in MN/WI chances are you have heard of this place or been to this place----it has always been talked about like it is the greatest place ever.....I have heard the hype about the hamburgers and bloody mary's.....This place does nothing for me as it doesn't live up to my expectations. Â It is fun to have a destination to boat to that has a dock and to get out and enjoy a drink and a burger....This place is expensive for what they are. Â One of my friends ordered a "jumbo" margarita and it was 20.00.....That would be fine if this was in a big city and considered a classy dinning establishment----but you are getting boaters and locals from small towns....The food wasn't memorable either....my suggestion is to dock and head up the street there is a cute little hippie looking bar where they play folk music some nights and people are just chill and enjoying life.....
Review Source:The food was not bad, pretty typical bar food. The barbecue ribs tasted good, and the service was reasonably good given that our server appeared to be taking care of all of the tables on the outdoor balcony by herself, which seemed like a bit much for one person. She was friendly and did well to replenish drinks and bring the food quickly.
We had a nice, evening sunset view of the lake. On the shore, which is only about 30 yards from the restaurant, there was a powerful smell of fuel from the boats. However the wind was blowing in a favorable direction and on the balcony of the restaurant (outside) there was no fuel smell.
It was a pleasant evening, I'd be happy to give 3.5 stars if that was an option but I have to go with 3.
Grab a beer overlooking the breakwater and marina. Have an appetizer. Watch chumos (chunky monkeys) complain about the heat, the sun, the flies. It's okay, but it is bar fare. The staff is very friendly., however.
We ordered the pizza. Their trick is to dump a full package of mozarella cheese onto the pizza. It's not nuanced, but it is filling.
Pickles with every dish!  Usually crowded as this is a regular stop for  boaters and motorcyclists, so plan on a wait with a cold beer.  Family friendly, it is my daughter's favorite restaurant on Lake Pepin and a must stop at during the Laura Ingall's Wilder Days. Â
The view is the best from a restaurant on Lake Pepin. They have a dock, but it seems to be full, so bring your anchor.
