Pie Eyed Petey's

I love this place!  Always friendly staff and Barb knows no strangers...she came and asked about my meal and couldn't believe I ate it all. Super friendly and delicious!  If you want a lighter atmosphere, go to the one in Syracuse.

NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY! Pie Eyed used to be a great restaurant on Lake Tippy. They recently became an over 21 only bar and the attitude of the staff has changed.  They are not as friendly as they once were. It is a shame they no longer welcome families, it was a great place to eat.

Pie Eyed Petey's is a bar & grill on Lake Tippecanoe accessible by both car and boat. The interior is surprisingly nice and they have a large outdoor seating area including an outdoor bar. There is also gas for sale next to the several piers along the water's edge.

However, we were disappointed to discover they recently made the entire establishment, even the outside seating area, 21 and over. We'd traveled an hour by boat with our 12 year old so my parents and I sat next to the fence on the inside while my wife and daughter sat at a small table outside.

The food was good and the service friendly. We started with the fried green beans which were pretty good, if not my thing. However, the fish sandwich (grouper) was exceptionally good. My only complaint was it was served on a plain boring white hamburger bun. The fries were battered and fine.

Overall, I enjoyed it other than the ridiculous age limit throughout. Next time, I'll leave the kids at home or visit their family friendly location in Syracuse.
