Very similar to the basin pub. Great beer selection and great food! They have some great specials depending on the day of the week. The crowd tends to get a little old for me, but nothing some good music and cold beer can't fix!
Karaoke here can be really good, or REALLY bad.. It is entertaining though. Not sure which night of the week it is on.
I came here for dinner a few days ago. The food was middle-of-the-road (what you'd expect to find at any generic restaurant/pub). I ordered a chicken caesar wrap with  a side of fries. The food was quite good (I'd even give it a 6.5/10). I also liked the atmosphere of the place; we sat outside on the patio (although the music that they were playing was too loud--- overpowering).
My main complaint about Pittsford Pub is that it took what felt like forever in order to receive our food. It shouldn't take 30+ minutes to make a chicken caesar wrap with a side of fries.
I want to like this place, I really do. I go back every summer hoping that the service and the food is up to par (Pun intended), and every time it is a huge disappointment.
There are 3 major issues with this place:
1. Service is Horrible, not just bad. Slutty, Bratty Little Teenagers.
2. The food ranges from okay to bad, usually bad.
3. The prices are higher than average
and a few minor issues:
1. The crowd is old and desperate. I know they can't control their clientele but I don't want to be hit on by some divorced 50 something cougar every time I set foot in this place. I am not interested, find someone your own age.
2. The drinks are weak and watered down.
3. No entertainment, Â we need live bands.
I would recommend Rookies or even Thirstys with Hungrys next door.
Not quite dive-y, not quite classy, Pittsford Pub offers some hits and misses.
A huge hit is the fact they've always got some kind of special goin' down: happy hours, 50% off wine, 25 cent wings, etc. Another hit is that they are really accomodating/great service- they served a group of 15 of us with no sweat whatsoever.
A miss is the food. I got a BLT ($8) and the bread was so dry that it ripped up the top of my mouth (bummer). I think most of the sandwiches/food in general is fairly mediocre.
It's a fine place to get drinks and apps but I probably won't dine here again.
The menu here hasn't changed in years. Artichoke French, steaks, chicken etc...... plus tarditional bar fare. With outdoor seating and live music, Pittsford Pub is a great place to enjoy a casual meal with kids or friends. Food is always well prepared and service is spot on.
The place is great and is a regular spot for us when in Rochester.
It's strangely comforting that a place like Pittsford Pub hasn't changed since when I was going there during college breaks. It's still packed with guys and girls who, despite years out of high school, still look like they hang out with the same people. J. Crew, LL Bean and Banana Republic if you're daring.
In fairness, the bartenders are cool and efficient, and it's hard to complain about an order consisting of two straight cocktails and four pints coming in at $24 (before tip). Go here to reminisce, and if you're lucky, score a booth.
