The Penfield Pour House

It was Saturday, about 7:30 PM and it seemed relatively quiet.
We ordered an appetizer advertised as being similar to "hush puppies". 20 minutes later it came. The outside was burned to a crisp, the inside a tasteless mush with a solitary chunk of pepper here and there... totally unappetizing and a never, ever again.
Next came the ruben, which was actually quite good. The bread was nicely toasted, the cabbage had good flavor and so did the beef. My "steak fries" however turned out to be french fries with some sort of spicy seasoning on them and hardly any salt.  I don't recall exactly what sort of sandwich my husband had but he said it was "meh". By this time, the waitresses giggling, goofing off, and intermittent yelling coming out of the nearby kitchen had annoyed us to the point that we could not enjoy our food; in the end I asked for a box and paid cash so we could get out of there as fast as possible. Damage about $34 (plus tip) for 2 sandwiches, 1 beer 1 soft drink and a never-again appetizer. The patio seems nice and so does the beer selection. A good drinking hole but not much else.
