What a disappointment! Having worked at a local Greek restaurant I guess my expectations were set too high from the get go.

The meal started out fantastic with a flaming Saganaki & Tazataki dip that were amazing followed by fresh Greek salads that really hit the spot. However, it was all downhill from there...

I assumed I was being pranked or on that TV show "Mystery Diners" after what happened next. The person who appeared to be the owner/owner's wife and our waitress began arguing rather loudly from the kitchen area which continued into the dining room about the stress of the place. There were three sat tables in the entire place, hardly stressful-but our waitress proceeded to continue the argument for a good five minutes concluding it with a cigarette break on the front patio, right outside the door.

We were still hungry and hadn't ordered our entrees yet, but didn't want disturb the heated waitress having her break so we waited. And waited. And waited. Finally she returns takes the order, and we wait some more. About 25 mins later we get our entrees. Mine was a completely different meal than I ordered. I asked for the Greek platter and with double pastitsio instead of mousaka which her response was "no mama, no substitutions" aka we preplatter the platters.... crap... I'll just take it as it comes. Well the meat platter that was served to me was cold, the gyro was burnt, too many tomatoes in the green beans, and the rice pilaf looked like Uncle Ben's steamers. I asked for different Gyro, as I was going to attempt to eat the Souvlaki - but that too was cold along with the HALF piece of pita. Who serves a meat platter with a half piece of pita and no sauce? This place

All in all I didn't eat my dinner, the owner/owner's wife never came over to talk to us and we still had to ask for our check since the waitress was YET AGAIN right out front smoking.

GO TO PLAKA ON THE BEACH OR NOMOKI'S PLAKA DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS PLACE.

Went in to this locale just because I haven't been there yet. I've been to the one on the beach, so I am familiar with the style. Ordered the Chicken Souvlaki on a salad. Interesting combination, as I had it in pita form. Was nothing to write home about and say I must go again. It was cheap, it was easy, no one was there dining, and it was a little too quiet. Will I be back? Maybe.

Granted that it was a Thursday night and there was nobody in the place but us 2. But I have to say it was the best Greek food I have tasted in a long, long while.
We chose the hummus appetizer. But before that came some free pita bread with an olive oil dipping sauce. The pita bread tasted freshly made and unlike other pita was flaky and warm. The waitress then brought the hummus. Absolutely delicious and plentiful. Tasted freshly made. We both ordered the gyro platter which came with a fresh Greek salad. Again very good. My friend thought the dressing was like thousand island dressing but I don't think so. It had a lot of oregano on it so perhaps his taste buds were confused. The gyro meat came on a nice large pita bread (same type as before) and had a dollop of tsaziki (sp?) sauce. Had extra sauce on the side too. And there were slices of tomato and onion to go with the gyro. We didn't order any dessert since we were stuffed. We had leftovers of the hummus and the gyros which will go for todays' lunch.

No complaints about service or food. I do wonder how many people will be there today on a Friday night.
