What an interesting and amazing find. I couldn't even find traces of this bar existing online until I saw it on google street maps.
My husband and I went to go to Dan's Electro Guitar Bar one night but there was a $10 cover. We didn't know the band playing so we didn't go in, but we had taken The Wave out to this part of the heights and didn't know what else to do.
We looked over and saw Polo's. So we walked over, and were instantly surprised. We were the only customers in the bar. Half of the lights were off, except for the lights over the pool table, and some neon lights behind the bar.
The bartender and his friend/coworker (I'm not sure the relation) Â were all hanging out drinking. When we approached the bar, we quickly realized that they spoke Spanish. We had communication barriers all night as we tried to ask them questions and order different things. The juke box was all Spanish music as well.
There was a cat roaming around inside and that was pretty much the only other life in this bar.
It was amazing. We had an ENTIRE bar to ourselves, and it was a Saturday night. I don't know if the bar is new, or if it's old, I don't know if this is typical night or not. I can't see it being one because other wise they would have to close down.
I had such a good time here, it felt like my little secret.
