Great place with a lot of potential. Â Would attract more of the boater crowd if they played some Jimmy Buffett once in a while instead of Limp Bizkit and Disturbed. Â Last time I checked 15 year old kids who sit at home all day pissed off at there parents don't go to the bar all that much.
Review Source:This is the type of bar where each time you're in you will see the same regulars sitting at the same spot at the bar drinking the same thing. It's very laid back with a good mix of young, middle-aged, and retirees. They have a boat built into one wall where they have some booths with small televisions. I personally enjoyed the little "Pranks" throughout the building. The Bathroom doors say push when you should pull and vice versa. As well as when you're inside the ladies room there is a sign that say Mens and the opposite in the Men's room. My boyfriend still gets freaked out a little bit every time he uses the bathroom.
They have a DJ a few nights a week and even beer pong on Thursdays. The servers are pleasant but I get the impression they have a high turn over rate. Â
The food is your average, sometimes slightly above average bar food. If you stop in I really recommend the Munchers. They are these wonderful deep fried potato, cheese, and jalapeno bites that when dipped in Ranch taste like a slightly spicy piece of heaven. I really wouldn't go out of my way to come to Prank's but if you're in the area and you want a tall beer and some slightly above average greasy bar food then I'd definitely stop in.
