I ordered the Cod and a half dinner, she brought out 3 pieces of frozen square cod...on a Friday. Â I said, is this cod and a half? (keep in mind it was 9.00 for a cod dinner, 12.00 for a cod and a half) She said, yes the regular cod dinner you get two pieces of cod. Â I won't go back and get ripped off again. Â My husband had the perch and a half, for 14 dollars, and there wasn't any seasoning or anything on it. Â The service was excellent, the lady's name was Jenny, but we will not go back. Â I can get Gorton's cod filets at home out of my own oven.
Review Source:Randomly, because of Yelp...we happened upon this place. The other reviewer was right...it looks seedy on the outside but don't judge this book by its cover! The atmosphere is super fun and old school...has tons of charm. They really do have the leg lamp from A Christmas Story! Â Fra---gile---ayyy! Great juke box...good eats ....fun stuff. Owner is awesome. What a nice guy!
Review Source:This is a quaint local bar with a pool table and jukebox. Â The ambiance is kitchy along with Detroit team memorabilia. Â The crowd is pretty diverse with young and old customers, mainly locals. Â The beer is cheap...not a huge selection, but I always get a pint of Blue Moon Belgian White with the orange slice. Â They also offer liquor drinks. Â Food-wise, the perch dinner on Fridays during Lent is very good. Â It is has a deep fried cracker breading and tastes very, very fresh. Â The long lines on Fridays confirm this. Â I've also had a burger which was good and juicy as well as the ribs, which my husband says he really likes. Â An all round good place to go for food and drinks.
Review Source:From the outside, Prush's just looks like another crusty old bar in Wyandotte. The building is just a washed out grey, and it kind of looks like a place where you would find a bar full of old men, drowning their sorrows with booze.
We stopped in to catch the game yesterday, and I actually liked the place. It had some charm and character. I loved the old building with the high ceilings and exposed piping. But, the best thing about the place was: THEY HAVE THE LEG LAMP FROM THE CHRISTMAS STORY THERE!
The clientele was younger than I expected...late 20's to early 40's. We ordered up some beer and bar food, which went down good while watching the Wings lose. Oh well, there's always next year!
