I have stopped by Ptarmigan's from time to time over the past few years. Â The decor is funky and fun and they have dart boards. Â They always seem to have groovy drink specials and usually are not overly crowded. Â I have heard this placed called both a "frat house" and "Mexican hangout", but in my experience it has always been a mixed fun crowd.
Review Source:Have stopped by here twice now, admittedly not during the certain bump and grind hours that certainly happen late friday and saturday evenings. Â What has caught my attention while taco hunting in this largely hispanic / Mexican part of Bryan was the "Aggie Martini". Â Goes down smooth after some local trailer tacos. Â Â
Would not hesitate to stop in later in the evenings. Â In fact I might to see what's going on. Â Looks like a cool spot to hang out, and after living in Mexico (aka East Houston) for 20 years, I like Mexican hang outs. Â This one seems to be a great middle ground, and of course you can see A&M up the street from here.
