Haven't been here in a while, but the food was never good the three times I have been there. The first time I had went here was with my parents, they talk about good memories that they had here before. That was long ago and unless there was a big change I don't see a good memory coming from here again.
Review Source:Where do I begin. Â At lunch.
They use leftover prime rib the next day for sandwiches. Well done. Â Can't make it medium rare, cause it is leftover from day
Before. Â Beware of the low life customers on a Friday night. Best to bring your piece. Â It is a rowdy crowd. Â Very low.. Â Scary... Keep the police number ready to go on your cell phone. Â The female bartenders, wont help you out!!!!!
Excellent Prime Rib!
A comfortable traditional down home family lunch/dinner with serious meat, potato, and standard salad. A Salinas Icon, this much adored restaurant serves very traditional dishes, at moderate prices. A local favorite;  I just enjoy that warm, comfy, family ambiance. =)
Prior to entering this place, I was told it was an old hangout of produce growers in the Salinas Valley. Â Sure enough black and white pictures of growers adorned the walls. Â Nothing special when it came to the food. Â Stick with the prime rib and you will be fine. Â Accompanied with an ice burg lettuce salad and your choice of either mashed, baked or twice baked potatoes. Â Not a place I would come to for food often, but I could see myself bellying up tot he bar for a libation and a game of dice.
