Quiessence Restaurant

Don't bother unless you have loads of money to blow for very little to show. The waiter was pompous and talked us into a tasting menu with several courses and wine. Each portion was the size of an hors d'oeuvre and just fairly mediocre. When the desert course (90 min into dinner) came we were already talking about what we would stop to get for food on the way home because we were still hungry. $300+ later we felt not only incredibly disappointed but hoodwinked. NEVER EVER AGAIN!!

This restaurant is outstanding.  We have been there several times and we drive over an hour to eat there.  The service is excellent.  The food is outstanding.  We recommend the tasting menu.  You get the best of everything that the restaurant has to offer.  This is one of the best restaurants in phoenix.  We can't wait for our next visit..

My husband and I wanted to eat at all of Phoenix's top 10 restaurants where Quiessence is named. Our table was perfect in the front porch after we asked to move from the back room. After delicious starters of fresh salad and soup, we were disappointed with the main entrees. My husband ordered the pork tenderloin -no complaints. However, my scallops were so over salted, they were non edible. The only other entree choice was chicken (I don't eat pork). Chicken was ok, but I never order chicken out, especially paying $40!  Good service, but we won't be back.
