This was our first time staying in Ocean Shores and had a great time here. We stayed mid-week for three nights with an ocean view room which I highly recommend. The price per night was very reasonable as well, around $110 per night.
Some reviews have mentioned the high level of tobacco smoke which my wife and I didn't notice. There were some people smoking on the casino floor, but smoking is not allowed in the rest of the building. But as I said, we stayed mid week so perhaps it is worse when the place is fuller.
Our daughter very much enjoyed the good sized swimming pool and the easy, basically private beach access. My wife and I both enjoyed some massages at the spa which were very pleasant and well priced.
As far as food goes, we never had dinner on site, but did have breakfast at Emily's three mornings and each time the food was great, although a bit slow.
Overall given the price and location I would highly recommend this as a place to stay. But it should be noted this is not within Ocean Shores city limits and you need to drive or take a pretty long walk to get down in to the city (apx. 10-min drive).
I will give this place a great review- it is a great place to go. Â My husband and I spent four days and three nights at the resort and casino - we smiled when we arrived and smiled on our way out-
I previously read the reviews of this great get away and was hesitant but we had reserved the rooms and went in. Â I am so pleased that we did and will share our experience hoping that others will also give this great place a chance.
_ breakfast special is good and well worth the $1.99 served all day in the lounge/bar  eggs, Canadian bacon, hash-browns and toast.
_Omelette bar for $4.00 on Sunday well worth it - staff is organized and polite
_Nice rooms clean not beat up
_Pool and hot tub are open for adults only from 2100-2400 real nice quality adult time
We stayed on the fourth floor - had an excellent ocean view - never heard any screaming or had any interruptions. Â It was nice knowing that all we had to do is go outside to see, hear and experience the ocean. Â Â We visited Ocean shores and were very pleased with the small town reminded me of Cape Cod MA (I grew up there). Â
The casino was small but adequate with several table games and no there is not a non-smoking area and since I recently quit smoking I was worried, that it would be smokey and it wasn't it was well ventilated no filled ashtrays. Â I actually played a great deal of slots I enjoyed the steady pay outs. There were a great deal of winners on the floor. Â I spoke to several locals who frequent the casino often they raved about the promotions and pay outs and this local casino. Â
I won a promotion- played in the daily slot tournament-played some black jack- had the fish and chips and the razor clam chowder all were great. Â I had a couple of cocktails they had a special that day so I was able to have a couple of cocktails for under ten bucks.
My massage at the SPA was so nice and relaxing- they have so many different packages to choose from - you can also pay a small fee for services such as tanning and the sauna (we used the sauna before and after our massage).
The grounds are wonderful and I think the staff really cares about your opinion and experience. Â We visit Vegas several times a year and frequent casinos in all of our travels. Â I found this place to be comfortable affordable and worth the trip from Tacoma we are already planning our second trip - Â
The only issue is the WIFI which is not available throughout the casino - we were in room 430 and could not use the WIFI we bought  a cable and had no issues with it - so if you are going there and need access I would recommend it - also cell phone service is hit or miss (This is due to the location of the casino ) not the casino itself.  I was able to use my phone but just thought I would mention it.
Form your own opinion - I am glad I did and now we have a new place to visit.
The main reason I'm reviewing this casino is because I'm a non-smoker and do not like going to casinos for this reason (my boyfriend enjoys Black Jack once in a while, so this is what brought me to this casino - with him) and when I read reviews of casinos the main thing I look for is - how bad the smoke haze is (at this one - not bad. Â Amazing ventilation). Â We were only at this casino for a few hours but I can tell you this much:
The restaurant and a lounge/coffee area by the entrance to the casino are smoke free. Â
They keep the whole place pretty well ventilated. Â Last casino we went to we smelled like smoke down to our skin (and I don't smoke). Â I enjoyed having the lounge area to hang out in without being surrounded my smoke/people running around everywhere. Â There were a few kids in there - I think minors are allowed in the lounge & the restaurant, from what I could see. Â The kids were very well behaved and did not bother me at all. Â
Every employee I encountered was very nice.
The bar was great, the bartender served me quickly and with a smile, and when I asked which IPAs he had on tap he let me try both and was very knowledgeable about each brew. Â Prices seemed quite reasonable, except their restaurant looked awfully expensive ($$$) - we did not eat there. Â
They have live music on weekends. Â We were there on a Saturday night and a fun cover band was playing. Â
This is a casino I just might come back to if we are ever in the area again. Â We were very impressed.
