This was our first time staying in Ocean Shores and had a great time here. We stayed mid-week for three nights with an ocean view room which I highly recommend. The price per night was very reasonable as well, around $110 per night.

Some reviews have mentioned the high level of tobacco smoke which my wife and I didn't notice. There were some people smoking on the casino floor, but smoking is not allowed in the rest of the building. But as I said, we stayed mid week so perhaps it is worse when the place is fuller.

Our daughter very much enjoyed the good sized swimming pool and the easy, basically private beach access. My wife and I both enjoyed some massages at the spa which were very pleasant and well priced.

As far as food goes, we never had dinner on site, but did have breakfast at Emily's three mornings and each time the food was great, although a bit slow.

Overall given the price and location I would highly recommend this as a place to stay. But it should be noted this is not within Ocean Shores city limits and you need to drive or take a pretty long walk to get down in to the city (apx. 10-min drive).

I will give this place a great review- it is a great place to go.  My husband and I spent four days and three nights at the resort and casino - we smiled when we arrived and smiled on our way out-
I previously read the reviews of this great get away and was hesitant but we had reserved the rooms and went in.  I am so pleased that we did and will share our experience hoping that others will also give this great place a chance.

_ breakfast special is good and well worth the $1.99 served all day in the lounge/bar  eggs, Canadian bacon, hash-browns and toast.
_Omelette bar for $4.00 on Sunday well worth it - staff is organized and polite
_Nice rooms clean not beat up
_Pool and hot tub are open for adults only from 2100-2400 real nice quality adult time

We stayed on the fourth floor - had an excellent ocean view - never heard any screaming or had any interruptions.  It was nice knowing that all we had to do is go outside to see, hear and experience the ocean.    We visited Ocean shores and were very pleased with the small town reminded me of Cape Cod MA (I grew up there).

The casino was small but adequate with several table games and no there is not a non-smoking area and since I recently quit smoking I was worried, that it would be smokey and it wasn't it was well ventilated no filled ashtrays.  I actually played a great deal of slots I enjoyed the steady pay outs. There were a great deal of winners on the floor.  I spoke to several locals who frequent the casino often they raved about the promotions and pay outs and this local casino.

I won a promotion- played in the daily slot tournament-played some black jack- had the fish and chips and the razor clam chowder all were great.  I had a couple of cocktails they had a special that day so I was able to have a couple of cocktails for under ten bucks.

My massage at the SPA was so nice and relaxing- they have so many different packages to choose from - you can also pay a small fee for services such as tanning and the sauna (we used the sauna before and after our massage).

The grounds are wonderful and I think the staff really cares about your opinion and experience.  We visit Vegas several times a year and frequent casinos in all of our travels.  I found this place to be comfortable affordable and worth the trip from Tacoma we are already planning our second trip -

The only issue is the WIFI which is not available throughout the casino - we were in room 430 and could not use the WIFI we bought  a cable and had no issues with it - so if you are going there and need access I would recommend it - also cell phone service is hit or miss (This is due to the location of the casino ) not the casino itself.  I was able to use my phone but just thought I would mention it.

Form your own opinion - I am glad I did and now we have a new place to visit.

The main reason I'm reviewing this casino is because I'm a non-smoker and do not like going to casinos for this reason (my boyfriend enjoys Black Jack once in a while, so this is what brought me to this casino - with him) and when I read reviews of casinos the main thing I look for is - how bad the smoke haze is (at this one - not bad.  Amazing ventilation).  We were only at this casino for a few hours but I can tell you this much:

The restaurant and a lounge/coffee area by the entrance to the casino are smoke free.

They keep the whole place pretty well ventilated.  Last casino we went to we smelled like smoke down to our skin (and I don't smoke).  I enjoyed having the lounge area to hang out in without being surrounded my smoke/people running around everywhere.  There were a few kids in there - I think minors are allowed in the lounge & the restaurant, from what I could see.  The kids were very well behaved and did not bother me at all.

Every employee I encountered was very nice.

The bar was great, the bartender served me quickly and with a smile, and when I asked which IPAs he had on tap he let me try both and was very knowledgeable about each brew.   Prices seemed quite reasonable, except their restaurant looked awfully expensive ($$$) - we did not eat there.

They have live music on weekends.  We were there on a Saturday night and a fun cover band was playing.

This is a casino I just might come back to if we are ever in the area again.  We were very impressed.

After reading some sketchy reviews my husband and I decided to give this place a try despite the reviews.   We were VERY VERY pleased!   I found the rooms to be very very nicely laid out and accommodated.   Although to be completely honest the room was a bit worn in places  and could use some refurb but it was clean.  I was extremely pleased with the ocean view room.  Furthermore I was down right impressed with the service.   Upon arrival (on an unusual sunny warm day) we found our a/c not working well.   We called the desk and within 10 mins 2 professional HVAC techs came up and looked at it and said they would replace it within the hour.   We went to dinner and when we came back there was a brand new unit in place pumping out cold air!    The beach was clean and nice and very close at hand.   We spent the entire day Saturday basking in the sun and enjoying the cool ocean breeze.   I would go here again in a heartbeat.   I'd like to try it in the winter when we could use the fireplace that is in the room.   I didn't gamble on this trip as I was more into the beach but they have made a return customer out of me and I will be dropping some moolah in the casino in the future.   Oh and btw the $1.99 breakfast can't be beat!

We just returned home after a wonderful weekend with another couple at Quinault Beach Resort and Casino.  Don't believe a word of any bad reviews you read.  The property was excellent, well maintained and very very attractive.  It was clean, the restaurants were good and the service staff were extremely friendly and accomodating right down to the blackjack dealers (Hi Sam !!! ).  We got a great deal on an ocean view room on the 4th floor for $85 a night and it was during the 2nd annual blues fest so there was amazing music all weekend long.  We loved our room, loved the bathroom and shower... loved it all.  The beach was awesome... we drove out to a great spot and enjoyed the perfect weather.  We could have walked but we had coolers and firewood...  just lovely.  I don't have a single bad thing to say.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights (Thurs & Friday). We paid $160. Rooms were very nice. They provided a Keurig coffee maker, which was a nice touch, as well as a comfortable bed, fireplace, huge window and free wi-fi. I would give the room itself 5 stars. The pool and hot tub are indoors and and provide a beautiful view of the ocean. The spa was mediocre at best. Felt more like my chiropractors office than a spa. My wife and I each got a massage, hers was $49 and mine was $69 although we pretty much got the same massage. So I would recommend just going for the cheaper one. The casino is surprisingly small and quiet but we never had to wait to play anything. The hotel restaurant is awful. The waiter was friendly but slow to get our order and our food. We ordered fried clam strips, clam chowder and salmon. Clams were chewy, salmon was dry. Room service breakfast took an hour to deliver. Plan on eating elsewhere. One last thing that made me unhappy was the hotels front desk. My wife and I wanted to take a hike. I go to the front desk to ask for some suggestions on hiking trails. The woman goes into the back and comes back with some brochures on beach horse back ridding and kayaking. I was dumbfounded. Really? Not even close to what I was asking for but I nodded politely and walked away. Overall, great room but everything else was just so-so.

It's been a while since we stayed at this resort and it became apparent that they really hadn't kept it up since our last visit.  The rooms have a nice set-up but were definitely run down.  The upholstering on the furniture was worn, cracks in wall fixtures, scratched up doors, etc.  It was clean and the bed were extremely comfortable.  Shower head was so high I could not reach it to adjust it and I am average height.

We left our room on day 2 at 11:00 a.m. and removed the Do Not Disturb sign so they would make up our room.  When returning at 8:00 p.m. they had not.  I will say that after a phone call they immediately came up and brought fresh towels and made the bed (not the usual service of floors and bathroom.)  All in all it was ok.  We did get a special so it reasonably priced.  I will probably not return any time soon and prefer the exceptional rooms at the Clearwater Casino.

The casino was small, but nice.  I appreciate that they open table games at 10:00 a.m.  Many places I have stayed do not open tables until 11:00.  Not a lot of restaurant choices.

I've loved our time in the past  at this hotel staying here & we still feel it can be good. We also love the view from the restaurant. But~today I called to make a REZ. The girl was so edgy as I asked Q's about the "special". She was agitated & snappy to me on the phone...so I decided to wait & still may book online based on past experience. But I wrote this today as I wish people would realize that after a hard week's work...& being in our 60's...veteran's etc...it would certainly be nice to get the grace & hospitality that we get in other places. Some people seem to not know what graciousness & respect are all about. Snapping at customers that call asking simple questions with a nasty tone is not what the hospitality business is all about. The hotel business is a very special area in which hosts can be lovely to their patrons or rude. Today the woman we spoke to was rude leaving a bad taste in our mouth after previously loving this lodge/casino.

So, after many months of thinking this review over I realized:

They couldn't have sex looking out on the ocean. Their room was parking lot facing.

You do you casino patrons. I'll mind my own business.

We stayed at this hotel 2 separate nights.  The first night was not so nice. We ended up getting a room on the side of the hotel that did not face the ocean just because their rates are so high. One of the first things that we noticed was the wall paper peeling all over different parts of the room.  We had no place to put the laptop because the only table in the room was completely filled by their in-room snack basket.  In the morning we were awoken very early by heavy machinery working right outside our window and the noise did not stop for the whole rest of our stay.  We later found out from the lady that checked us out that the lady that checked us in the night before was supposed to have all guests stay on the ocean side of the hotel because of the on-going construction work which, of course, she did not mention one word about it.

The second night we stayed in one of the ocean side rooms that they wanted to charge us full price for even though we told them that because they have construction going on we shouldn't have to pay even more just to be able to stay in a room where we wouldn't have to hear the construction.  Finally, reluctantly, they agreed to let us stay in the ocean side room for the non-ocean side price.

We did notice that the ocean side room was a LOT nicer than the non-ocean side and we did enjoy our stay in the second room.  We also really liked the fireplaces in the rooms very much.  We thought about possibly staying one more night, but when we called down to the front desk and they said that to stay the next night it would cost $150!?! (and this was in January!) to stay another night we said, "See ya"!

We might stay there again if we are ever in the area IF we get a decent price.  We felt they were overpriced especially for such a small town so far out of the way.

The casino is fun (even though I didn't win) and the restaurant is okay, but the best part of this hotel is the view. The hotel is pretty much on the beach and the view of wide sandy shores and small waves is so relaxing.

There are also fireplaces in the rooms, so the combination of the fireplace and beach view is just what a vacation should be.

My bf and I stayed here for a nice labor day getaway. The room we booked was a nice king suite facing the ocean. I was pleasantly how nice the rooms were with a cozy fireplace dividing the bed from the living room and sofa. I wished the Tv was up to date with a modern flat screen and the shower had a large soaking tub!!

The staff were very kind and accomadating. The restaurants had great early bird dinner and breakfast specials but you might want to order two if you're a hungry man ;)

We had the pool to ourselves for quite a length of time however my bf was disappointed that the sauna was not open but in repair. Also...for our latenight sweet tooth cravings; the kitchen was closed with no room service offered or available.

My hubby and I have been here about 7 or 8 times and have always loved it, but unfortunately it is going downhill, in my opinion, mainly in the way of "service."  The hostesses at Emily's are less than friendly; the people at the QClub (QCard?) desk are as well... People just seem "inconvenienced" by the guests.  And the lounge?  Prepare to be waiting there for endless amounts of time being totally ignored.  I know the servers see people there, but I think they're just too lazy to get out and help people.  Or maybe this is Quinault's conspiracy to get more people to eat at overpriced Emily's... ?  Now - the seafood buffet is awesome on Fri. nights and well worth the $26 or whatever, as is the Sunday brunch, but - WHY is the Sun. brunch not every Sunday year-round?  And why is the seafood buffet not on Sat.'s as well as Fri's?  Ugh, ridiculous.

If you want to go to this place to gamble, it's a blast (though their slots are very rigged/tight) - but I would recommend stopping for sandwiches and a few Lunchables to put into the hotel room refrigerator, on your way there.  (Thanks Quinault for having mini fridges ... for now, anyway ;)

I do like the rooms though.  Yeah they may be slightly outdated, but the beds are super comfy - who cares and spends time in the room anyway? :)  (Oh and to all the reviewers here griping about cigarette smoke - you are at a casino.  On a Native American Reservation.  You knew this going into it - get over it!! Please...)

They just need to make a few changes, in my mind...

    ... Just keepin' it real.

Had a good time here when we were looking for some adult entertainment while on vacation. The free shuttle from our hotel to the casino was very convenient. We took advantage of the live music, dance floor, and bar.

Don't have much basis for comparison with Casino resorts...but we have been here twice. Once two years ago and again this last weekend for the same annual event which uses this venue.

Both visits our room has been spacious, ocean front and clean (ignoring spots on the carpet which I would never allow to sit at home).

Staff are helpful, courteous, friendly, and quite visible.

The lobby is stinky from cigarette smoke...as is the casino we visited this time. But, guess that is the norm for casino settings.

Let me first say how highly excited I was to get out for a few days with my spouse to Quinalt finally to stay a few days after having a great experience at Emily's and fun on the beach with our children in years past. WTF HAPPENED???!?!?!

The room. It's great that they give you 20% off if you join the casino club! the room was tolerable and clean with a beautiful view of the beach. However- it's in SEVERE need of updating. I shouldn't have to feel like I'm in the middle of 1987 watching TV in 2012! I am also going to frown upon the fact that when I crawled into my bed after a day of play, the comforter on the bed was very sour smelling like the housekeeper was too lazy to get it out of the washer on time.

The Casino. Don't bother. Super Tight! I was very excited to play my budget all night long and ended up losing it within one hour. At least the casinos near my home are more accommodating to married couples needs to get out for the evening.

The restaurant. Telling me that there's a wait when the place is nearly empty and pointing me towards the lounge for every meal I ate there isn't good. BTW- My burger was very burned, and the rum and cokes weren't mixed properly. Wasn't feeling too welcomed as the bartender and wait staff (they weren't that busy) all acted like they couldn't be bothered to wait on us!

And the one thing that PISSED ME OF THE WORST: I purchased a bottle of their in-house wine to enjoy in my room. Really Quin alt? Do you think you can be a little more accommodating to your in house hotel guests and provide a wine opener free of charge? NO! You're going to charge me $4.95 for one in the gift shop or you're going to turn around and charge me that same $4.95 to open it in the bar!!?!?!

How cheap and petty can you be? Pathetic! NEVER NEVER EVER AGAIN! At least Mickey Mouse had the common courtesy to give you a reach around while he's ripping you off and feeding you shitty food! GET SOME DAMN HDTVS IN YOUR ROOMS IDIOTS!!! Lord knows I paid for at least three of them!

This was not as bad as some say.  We only came to gamble for an hour and I was only finding a bunch of 1 cent slots, but finally decided to play and won $200.  I was happy, cause I never WIN.  They offer FREE beverages and the staff seemed friendly I also noticed $3 tables.  Whoa, you never see that in California anymore!  Wish I could have played more.  Would be back eventually, since the family has a place in Ocean Shores, WA.  Only thing, the Beach Resort is not really what it sounds like.

I am not sure that they even deserve the one star I gave them. Our room reeks of smoke and they have a nonsmoking "sign" that is obviously moved in and out of the room. The "white" comforter is grey. We had to request housekeeping service after two days. The Tuesday special tbone was disgusting and maybe a centimeter thick. Service in the restaurant and bar was slower than slow. The wifi is barely one bar strong. Roach motel is an upgrade to this place.

Rooms are nice with a fireplace and comfy bed. Our room had great view. Casino is extremely tight. Customer service isn't bad except at Emily's in which case the customer service is horrible and their salty food is over priced. They do have a secret $1.99 breakfast special that was okay. You have to ask about it cause they definitely don't offer it. I do like that the pool is open til midnight. If we ever return it would be for the rooms.

I'm not a gambler and did not spend time in the casino area. This review is just for the hotel portion of the resort.

Staff here is very nice and accommodating. They go out of their way to make your stay as nice as possible. The rooms are very spacious, nice and clean. Plenty of towels and all the usual bottles of shampoo, lotion, mouthwash, and even makeup remover. A daily paper is delivered to your door each morning.

The bed was very comfortable with lots of fluffy pillows. There was a TV in the room but I never even turned it on. The view out the enormous window of my room faced the beach. Gorgeous views of the stormy Pacific Ocean. There was a marsh between the hotel and the beach which I often saw deer jumping through.

My room was surprisingly quiet. I never heard noise coming from my neighbors and the hallway noise was well muted. The in-room heating/AC control functioned very well. My room also had a gas fireplace to further keep me toasty warm.

There was really only one annoyance. Even though my room was non-smoking and did not smell like smoke, just walking through the building, whether to the hotel's restaurant or to the gift shop, made my clothes smell like smoke by the time I got back to my room. They do their best to ventilate but, if you are super sensitive to cigarette smoke, staying at a casino hotel is probably not the best choice.

BAD. Never, ever again will I set foot in this place. We stayed there years ago and remembered it fondly, and the food at Emily's had been great, but this visit wiped out any good memory.

The prime rib buffet was the worst meal I've had in years, if not decades. They were disorganized, telling us we'd have to wait to be seated (and to pay), but they never took our names, and proceeded to take money and seat people who were in line behind us. I stepped up and asked the woman, who'd asked us to wait, how they knew who was next in line without a list. Giving me a blank look, she replied "well...I don't know." The woman in charge beside her wasn't even wearing a uniform like everyone else, instead wore a gray sweater-coat that matched the gray pallor of her skin, hair, and teeth perfectly. Dour, put-upon attitude, too. What, do people draw straws to find out who has to work the buffet, and she was one of the losers?

The food was shameful. One staffer proudly maintained "we make EVERYTHING from scratch", which I would never have admitted. There was a sad-looking iceberg lettuce salad, and steam tables of broccoli/carrots/cauliflower, mashed potatoes, rice, a chicken dish, and badly overcooked salmon. Oh, and really bad gravy. The prime rib itself was sliced very thinly (not surprised) and was hard to cut with the butter knives provided. There was more than a little gristle. I noticed men were given thicker slices (that WAS a surprise). Strangely, the thicker meat was easier to cut. The au jus was watery and did nothing to improve the beef's flavor.

There was a dessert table, mostly pies that looked like they'd been frozen and/or were a mass-market product. The one good thing about that entire meal were the "eclairs". These had an oppressively thick layer of chocolate, but after scraping off some of it, it was SO good. I almost cried, so relieved that there was something worthwhile in this terrible, terrible meal.

The buffet isn't in a restaurant, it was in what they call "The Great Hall", which actually appeared to be a narrow, midsized conference room. It had a nice high ceiling and flattering lighting, but it looked like any other hotel conference room I've ever spent time in. This room was right across from the slot machines manned by I don't know how many chain-smokers, so even if you were well away from the door, the buffet's air was heavy with cigarette smoke. Since most establishments are now smoke-free, it's a real slap in the face to have to endure a smoky, stinky atmosphere like that again. Never, EVER again.

This is a casino review only.
The employees here are friendly and helpful. There weren't too many people playing at 2 a.m, but, incredibly, I won over $5000. playing a progressive penny slot machine. The floor manager arrived promptly and was very efficient; I was stunned and half expecting them to conclude the machine had malfunctioned. Filled out some forms for the IRS, was given a promotional "I'm a Winner" t-shirt, and casino security personnel escorted my husband and I to our car and would accept no gratuity.
I would have given this casino a 4-star review just for the fact that they played 2 Buddy Holly songs. 5 stars for the insane jackpot won in the wee hours, and the sincere and warm congratulations from the staff. We'll be back to stay as resort guests next time, and you can extract your revenge.

I wanted to stay here because there isn't easy vehicle access at the beach but in the few years we've been going they've had no upgrades and seem to be very complacent about their guests and place in a beach town. I don't think we'll be back.

So I'll preface this by saying I'm not a huge casino person to begin with. That aside, this place was nice enough. The gift shop had some cute jewelry that I had not seen elsewhere, and in the back near the bathrooms is a sizeable lounging area where my friend and I sat back and relaxed.

If you like slots, this is the place for you. They have tons of them...and that's about it. Maybe they had some other gaming machines or rooms somewhere, but I certainly didn't see them.

The hotel accomodations are good, which means very little to me as I live in Ocean Shores, but the brunch buffet during tourist season is the best on the coast. Don't waste your money on the slots here, or in any other Washington Tribal Casino (more on that below). If you're put off by smokers, don't go to casinos, period: Tribal or Vegas, Atlantic City, etc.

A word on those "slot machines" - they are actually "electronic scratch ticket" machines, which have a finite number of winners and losers. WA Tribal casinos are only required to pay out at 75%, which at that rate, you may as well just go to the booth, hand em your money, and leave. I have heard various rumors (I have not been able to confirm) that the casino pays out under that because it's more profitable to reap the fine than pay out at the required level. Either way: want to gamble with a shot at winning anything, play a table game.

The bar leaves something to be desired. The bartenders, in my experience always seem to be put off if you ask them for anything.

I missed fight night, but most events I've been to here blow.

The wife and I have visited the Quinault a number of times now. The rooms are still nice with a very nice view of the ocean. Sure many things in the rooms could use some updating but overall it is clean and a good price for being a ocean view room.

Emily's has been another story. The Friday Land & Sea Buffet is great... Lots of selection and well worth the money.

The Sunday Local Motion Prime Rib Buffet was terrible I have never had such a bad meal. Prime shoe leather is what it should be. When it comes to prime rib I have no troubles eating but this stuff was so bad I could not eat it and people waited in line for it...

Coffee Bar makes up some good espresso and has good pastry.

The casino is small but I have had won a few bucks and they have free soft drinks.

Customer Service has always been good.

Overall it's not a bad place.

    Lame, Lame, Lame

I know it was my fault to stay and lose money, but the help on the gaming floor is just terrible! And yes the air system does not clear the smoke at all. They are so understaffed, that half the table games are closed, and when the did open the craps table they only open half of it.( It was closed on a Wednesday night! )Trying to get a cocktail was impossible, I finally went to the bar and brought back drinks for four patrons and the table. The pit boss flipped me crap when I hollered out "Cocktail!" Most of the dealers looked confused and worked such a long shift that they made mistakes, they had to pull up video to correct a game! The front counter staff was polite, and I was impressed with the staff of the restaurant,(especially the hostess) however the food was not worth the price. The rooms were ok, not nearly as nice as those of the Tulalip, now that is a room!

The group that was with me was just as disappointed, we will never be back.

Stayed here with my mom who enjoys playing slots for fun.

I won $34 on penny slots and she probably break even.

I saw a lot of reviews saying how poor the customer service was here and I have absolutely zero complaints.  Everyone was helpful and courteous, especially at Emily's restaurant.

Our hotel room was clean and spacious, but there was a lot of wear showing on parts of the carpet, both chairs at the little corner table and the chair/ottoman.  They could definitely all use reupholstering.

I dropped a vitamin behind the nightstand and -ew- I don't recommend doing that.  That made for one very very dusty, hairy vitamin.

I would stay here again, so that my mom has easy access to the casino.

If you sign up for a Q card you get 10% off your stay, I also got 10% off with our AAA membership.

Pretty small, but fairly convenient to the Ocean Shores area.  My friend actually won here ($2500) so she's more of a fan than I am.  Pretty area, not too smokey, decent restaurant.

We have visited the Quinault a number of times, and it appears to me to be slowly sinking downhill as the property gentrifies.

The prices for the rooms seem to be going up, though it could be that it's due to my perceived value for the dollar is dropping. The beds are still wonderfully comfortable, the rooms and property clean and tidy, but some of the little things are starting to add up. The electrical outlets in our room had all pulled out of the wall and were barely hanging on, the furniture is becoming threadbare, and the carpets are starting to look worn.

We ate breakfast twice at Emily's, and enjoyed it both times. The food and service was very inconsistent, though. The first morning, our server was fantastic. Attentive, friendly, and helpful. The food portions were large, fresh, and hot. The second morning, our server was friendly enough, but wasn't at the top of her game. My wife requested crispy bacon, it came out soggy and had to be sent back. Our server should have spotted that before the food came out and had the cook re-fire it. My wife's food was also cold. Likely due to it coming out before mine, as my meal was a bit more time consuming to make. The portions were obviously smaller the second day.

One evening, we ordered food to go from the lounge. The burgers and chili were very good. One thing we observed in the lounge and on the casino floor were that our drink prices weren't consistent. I drink the same thing all the time, and the price varied by as much as a dollar depending on the server, so I don't know if some of them were skimming, or what. I still tipped $1/round.

Ah, the casino. Brightly lit, clean, plenty of space, albeit small as far as casinos go. The casino also is where my major gripes are concentrated. Not enough cocktail servers, we were constantly on the lookout for servers. All staff were friendly, though. Early in the morning it was difficult to get a spot at a blackjack table, because they wouldn't open another one to accomodate those players that couldn't get on to the single table they had open. Not enough staffing?

And the slot machines! Those machines are tighter than a teenage...uh, I mean... I guess when you have such a small gaming area, you need to extract as much revenue from it as possible to afford the cost of running such a large hotel. I'll not be playing their slot machines on our next visit.

The only thing(s) that saved the Quinault from getting a 2 star were the friendly staff, and the solitude offered by the remote location. I don't think we'll be visiting again while summer rates are in effect, it's not worth it to me any more, though we *will* be back.

The bad; the couch in our room is getting threadbare at the shoulders and the casino is relatively smoky.
The great; Service! From the time we checked in the staff has been super friendly and helpful. It doesn't matter if it's housekeeping in the elevator or the staff in the casino, the staff here seem to enjoy their work.
Our dinner at Emily's was awesome, I'm sure they put on some extra effort for valentines weekend, but the food was amongst the best we've ever had and the presentation was picture worthy. Our server, Jaclyn, was really great, we're glad  they were able to squeeze us in as resort guests without a reservation, but next time we'll book our dinners at check-in.

While staying in Ocean Shores, a friend and I visited the Casino for a spa treatment, some slots action, and Sunday brunch (turns out there's not much to do in ocean shores other than at the casino).  The massage was good but not the best I've ever had, and they let us use the steam room after which was great!

Slots are slots - everything's automated - all buttons and no clinking of change.  Not very exciting, but I won $27.

The Sunday brunch was ok - for $20, it's an all you can eat buffet with free mimosas, shrimp, and allegedly crab legs which I never saw.  When I asked about the crab legs, I got some really confusing answer about staggering food and emergency crab legs, so I let that one go.

All-in-all, this place is the life of the party in boring Ocean Shores, but not a great casino among its peers.

I stayed at the Polynesian but ventured out here after dark...the place is nice, parking is good, busy on a Saturday night but I didn't have a hard time finding space at a blackjack table and losing half of my backside!

The people were pretty friendly, Natalie was the favorite dealer, she kept it lively even when she was taking all of our money...

Do you want the good news or the bad news first??

    Ok, the Bad:

-Dealer changes were often murderous on my streaks  (Duh, I know)
-You can go from being up $130 to in the hole $20 within 5 minutes
-Even though I got raped, I got no curteousy phone call the morning after.

    The Good:

-$4 Rumplemintz Shots were a cheap cure-all for the "I just lost my ass blues"
-Restrooms were easy to find and CLEAN
-Its the only place in Ocean Shores that is open past 10pm!

It is located on a great stretch of beach, but I probably wouldn't stay here cause of the smoke.

...a great time was had by all.

Okay so it's pretty nice, clean and everything. But their little pamphlet is PACKED WITH INACCURACIES.

The two main things are that every room does not have signature bedding and they never opened their espresso stand from 6:55am to 10:55am , when it's supposed to open at seven. Boy did that lead to some weird defensive drama with some crazy staff woman.

Signature bedding- We got polyester- nobody has that as their signature. Costco will put "signature" on everything even when it isn't their product- I don't think they even  have " signature" on their microfiber.

Also their little espresso stand in the snack whatever is supposed to open at seven. From six fifty five to seven ten we stood at the unmanned snack whatever. NO ESPRESSO PERSON.

Took a walk.  Got back at  eight twenty so we finally asked somebody, some cafe person  started to answer us when this frantic looking blonde woman whipped up to us. she said.

" Are you a guest here?" Like we were casing the place.
" Yes. We just want to get some coffee but there's none here." We say
"We have coffee in the restaurant! We just don't have any cups. Every room has a coffee maker- you can have coffee from there." the angry fluffy blonde woman snapped and then she whooshed back into some door and slammed it like we were the biggest morons in the universe.

They had one piddly coffee packet that we used, and they had decaf- like law requires them to serve that the same same as actual coffee. So she was weird.

Also there were these sad children sitting  outside the casino entrance where their neglectful parents dumped them for literal hours- throughout the day we came back and the same kids were sitting there.

It's like their grandma's are smoking away at the slot machines while they "watch" their grand kids and take them on "vacation".

Soo, yeah. Bringing a kid here if you plan to gamble for more than two hours is about a step above locking them in the car while you go inside to gamble.  It would just be miserable for them.

As it was the kid we were with had adult supervision  and we took her to the pool. The pool is good for kids because it's only  four feet deep. She loved getting to go in the "deep" end.

Also the place is filled with three main weird demographics: Elderly men and their mail order brides, elderly couples , and mid-aged transplants from other states who look like scared bunnies about to die of shock.

I did not stay here, but rather stopped in while visiting Ocean Shores. I am not sure if it is because I come from SoCal where the casinos are 5 star resorts, or what, but I was super unimpressed. The place was teeny, wreaked of smoke, and just didn't have that "Super Casino" vibe at all.

For Ocean Shores area however, this place is like being in Beverly Hills...except the whole stinking like smoke thing...

We really thought that Quinalt would be the creme de la creme of Washington Casino's.  Maybe this is because we hear about it all the time in commercials or on the radio - but it ended up being a bit of a bust.

It isn't huge and the games aren't all that innovative.  It IS clean and spacious.  It has lots of table games but seems to specialize in slots.

The non-alcoholic beverages are free and include cocoa, coffee, and soda (Pepsi Products).  They didn't offer lemonade which was a bit of a let down so I stuck to 7-Up which was really too much for me.

The live music wasn't overwhelming and was actually pretty spunky.  They were a cover band - but when is that not true at a Casino?  I was already getting a little jaded at this point and couldn't find a game more racist than Jade Monkey - which was a little disappointing.

I might have been inoculated from the smoke - so maybe I wasn't the best judge but it didn't seem overwhelmingly smoky.  The ceiling was high and provided a lot of air circulation.

The restaurant is the only upscale and late-night dining option in the area. If you're staying in Ocean Shores year-round, this is the best place to go for dinner.

The casino is a casino. During the non-peak months it is VERY slow, and if you're looking for busy and fun gambling, this is not the place. The craps table is typically the place to look if the casino is "hopping" - and it is often dead with just 1 player or none at all.

During peak summer months, this place is much more eventful. The summertime fun of Ocean Shores typically spills to Quinalt in the evenings, providing good adult entertainment.

We stayed here during the Thanksgiving weekend and in years past and will continue to visit this place. This has got to the be the best room we've ever stayed in. This time we had a enormous suite with dual levels.  There was a large living area with a fireplace.  Upper bedroom area with a very comfortable bed - best sleep I've eve had!.  Our bathroom was huge complete with a jacuzzi jetted tub that fits like 3 people and a separate shower. They have this window that looks out into the living room and ocean but when the lights are off, you can look out from your tub but nobody can look in - VERY COOL!!! The room, bathroom, restaurant, casino and hotel overall were extremely clean!

We had a gorgeous view of the ocean. It was so relaxing sipping tea overlooking the waves crashing.  Based on how the resort is built, I think every room must have an excellent ocean view. I suggest getting ammenities waiting for you there (extra fee of course). You get milk and a large plate of cookies, chocolate dipped strawberries with gold dusted grapes as well as a bottle of their local wine - very indulgent !

Free Internet, Decent sized casino and a few restaurants. Emily's Fine Dining had good food - we had steak and salmon with views also overlooking the water. The only down side was that they still allow smoking since it is run by an Native American Tribe so the non-smoking ban doesn't work here.
Service is great - everyone was friendly and accomodating.  I love how it is tucked away from Ocean Shores busyness but close enough to drive to. Since the hotel is located right on the beach, you can enjoy a nice walk even at dusk because they have a huge light going from the beach to the hotel walkway to keep everyone safe.

I went here for my friends bachelerotte party.  It was perfect because there is a casino, lounge, restaurant, spa, and hotel rooms all under one roof.  It was great because we went for a drive and did not have to drive home the same night.  The lounge had a live band too that played old country and 80's covers and quite a lot of people were dancing freely.  The rooms were really nice.  We had one with a view right on the beach and a fireplace.  The beds are really comfortable.  I recommend making a reservation for the spa ahead of time.  The spa looked decent but not impressive.  I do not recommend the lunch bar.  The service was rude there.  Sunday brunch is well worth it - they have seafood.  Antoher nice thing about this place is bottled water is on the house.  The only downfall is the room was kind of spendy, the casino is not as big as I thought it was, and it is pretty smoky.
