Qui's Restaurant

Had lunch there today with Kung Pao combo.  Service was okay although not asked if I wanted lunch or regular size.  I did eat the Kung Pao Chicken.  Found the fried rice and egg roll not so good.  This is really a small place and was consistently about 33% full so looks as if others find food quite satisfactory.  For myself, great prefer Wu's at lunch.

At first the service seemed great. We were seated fast and drinks came right away. We gave our order and the food came out very fast and looked really good. For the most part the food was OK, some overcooked, but not horrible. The issues we had been clean utensils, we had to get up to find someone for replacements. When we wanted refills on our drinks, we had to get up to find a server. The food also is very over priced for what it is. If the service was outstanding, I might have justified the price, but the service out right sucked after you got your food. You never saw the server again unless you got up and went looking. After getting the bill and waiting for to go containers...I was just done with the place. Last time I will give them my business.

It has been my experience that most Vietnamese food in the mid-west has been poor.  I was addicted to Pho while I lived in Los Angeles.  I couldn't get enough of the stuff.  Well, I nearly fell over and how big of a game they bring in this restaurant.  I hadn't had Vietnamese like this since I lived on the west coast!  The Pho was great, and came with a pile of bean sprouts and other condiments to make it the way you like.   Do yourself a favor, skip the plain jane Chinese and order from the Vietnamese menu.  You'll definitely enjoy it!
