El Burrito Colonial

In town on business, and this was the best meal I had. The habanero hot sauce is fantastic, the guacamole is good, and the quesadilla is great. This is the real deal. There were some authentic choices on this menu. As close as you'll get to the real Mexico in fort Wayne.

When I first moved to Fort Wayne ~5 years ago I was surprised by the number of texmex restaurants and knew that there had to be an authentic place out there.  about 3 years ago I found El Burrito Colonial and I have found it!   Whenever I order something it feels like I am eating a home cooked meal (although my family is Romanian/Pennsylvania dutch and my parents didn't cook you know what I mean.)  The building is within 100 feet of 2 pawn shops and looks like it may have been a garage at some point you will not be disappointed by the food or the great service.  I'm pretty sure it's family owned, this is a small business I am happy to support!
