Best Burmese EVER, in FORT WAYNE? Never thought I'd ever say that. But yes, this gem is hidden down on the south side of Fort Wayne, towards the former location of Southtown Mall. The restaurant is a stand alone building with plenty of booths and tables to accommodate parties of all sizes. There is also some kind of a music setup, karaoke along with instruments.

I tried this place after finding it on Google and through urban spoon. I had the samusas, green tea leaf salad, and the mohingar. I was very impressed, it's better than what I've had in LA and in DC, Yoma Myanmar in MPK and Burma Restaurant in DC.

The samusas were fine, served with a spicy ketchup sauce. I forgot to take a picture.

The Mohingar had the full lentil fritters and banana tree stems. Awesome textures and flavors. The noodles, shockingly, were a little bit of a let down. They looked like someone had just dropped a brick of instant noodles into the soup and never got around to stirring it up. Despite that, I still thought it was awesome and I still think this is the best mohingar I have had. (No, I have not had Burma Superstar in the Bay, or Ma Hnin in Fort Wayne). The presentation was great, served in a fancy square bowl, haha!

The green tea leaf salad was excellent, and also served with little raw green chili peppers and also raw garlic. I was told to take a small bite of each and eat them together. I only tried the chili pepper but the combination was awesome and much tastier than just eating the green tea leaf salad "plain."

The prices are also extremely affordable. I believe we had 6 people eat for around $65 and that included 3 orders of samusas and 1 order of the green tea leaf salad.

I will definitely eat here whenever I visit!
