The Oyster Bar

Stopped in for lunch, now I go back once a week. The daily specials are especially creative and good. Staff is very friendly, ours was Susan whom makes us feel right at home. Recommend it

Outstanding! Each dish is expertly prepared and the service is attentive without being intrusive. Highly recommend! The place is small but it is our first choice for special celebrations.

Had a meeting here recently and was duly impressed.   I wouldn't recomend for meetings; it's a small restaurant and the small room where we were was behind the kitchen.  There was no door to separate us from the kitchen, so it was hard to hear people talking.  The staff was also constantly going in and  out the backdoor.  That said, the Oyster Bar is a Fort Wayne institution.  Very close to downtown and within walking distance of the new ballpark.  The food was outstanding, as usual.  I had the house salad to start, with a nice tart raspberry dressing, followed by a filet mignon medium rare; the steak was cooked to perfection.  Mushrooms on the side was sauteed in a light but tasty white wine sauce.  Dessert was Reese's peanut butter cheesecake--- adventuresome and delicious.
