O'Reilly's Irish Bar

New Irish bar, opened downtown Fort Wayne in the Harrison on February 28th, 2013. Not sure if it was intentional or just complete lack of marketing, but I didn't expect to walk right in and find a table so easily on opening night. I mean I'm not complaining that I didn't have to wait an hour to sit down but it just wasn't very exciting is all. So anyways, ordered a pitcher of beer and a burger. Burger was decent, I liked the fries and spicy ketchup they offer. Oh back to my burger, I pulled the toothpick out of the middle, cut the sandwich in half...first bite I found another toothpick that was laying horizontal in between my bun and meat. Way to go chef...trying to impale your customers with sharp objects. After the meal, we ordered a pint of Smithwhicks and waited patiently ten minutes. My fiancée got up and walked over to our server and was like...hey so how bout those Smithwhicks?? He apologized and ran and got them quickly. Then waited a long time to get our bill....after signing for the bill I examined it more closely and we were charged for two extra pints of beer we didn't order. Made eye balls around the room towards an employee or manager. An employee approached us first..I figured they are just going to correct the bill and that'll be the end of it. But to my surprise, not only did they correct it, they gave us another $5 off our bill for the trouble and the manager gave us a card for a free app next visit. Well done, O'Reilly's...way to turn things around and leave us with a positive impression.

Overall the place is clean, kind of commercial looking..nothing outright special but worth checking out.
