Clean, quaint atmosphere; prompt friendly service. Â We dined there in the afternoon en route from Moab to St George and were happy we stopped. My boyfriend had the soup and salad bar and I had a bowl of tasty corn chowder. If we ever come back this way, we'd definitely stop to try out their dinner. Lunch prices were reasonable.
Review Source:This little restaurant was a good choice. I had the steak tips, mashed potatoes and baked beans and my wife had the California chicken sandwich. The chicken breast was tender and juicy not really expected for white meat chicken. The steak tips done medium were awesome some fat but I like that, brings out the flavor in the meat. The gravy that was on the mashed potatoes was off the hook just like mom used to make on those Sunday dinners. My son had the Little Cowboy Cheeseburger that was surprisingly good for a kids meal. We would definately come back if we were driving through again.
Review Source:A long drive, middle of the night in blizzard conditions landed us to this safe haven.
What a great find for a warm, friendly and relaxing place. Staff here was excellent, very friendly with excellent Utah hospitality.
We had the the BBQ pulled pork and ribs. Both were excellent and cooked to perfection. Very tender and juicy, rib meat just fell off the bone "PERFECT".
In all honestly from reading the other reviews some are positive, others are quite negative, but I'm glad we took the chance to judge the food for ourselves. Reviews are of course opinions and this place may not be an upscale Michelin rated NYC restaurant, Â but for good home cooking, quality A+ service and good menu selection to fill your belly you just cant beat it. Keeping things simple and basic is the grounds for a great foundation. And they definitely have something good here going from our experience that evening.
Try the R&R Frontier Village yourself, we were impressed and glad to have made the last minute stop for fuel and a place to warm up from the cold.
Ever wondered why there's so many Subway outlets in small towns? Restaurants like this one is why. Our group of 5 had a very bad experience here. It started with the service, it ended with the undercooked food. I could write a small novel on all the things that were wrong with this place. I'll spare everyone from that level of detail and close my review by saying that your best bet is to drive into Richfield and find ANYTHING else that's open to eat. Even a Wal-Mart deli sandwich would beat this place hands down.
1 star, and it wasn't earned.
Came in traveling from ca. We came in pretty late and was greeted by two helpful servers and waiters. We both ordered salads (long drive + fast food are a nogo). I got the sticky chicken salad which was quite good, but the seafood salad was pretty off. Overall I enjoyed the food and the service was excellent.
Review Source:While driving through Utah, we had occasion to stop in Richfield on Christmas Eve. We had low expectations for finding anyplace open for dinner, and were pleasantly surprised to learn FV was open until 8. The servers were super friendly, and were pretty cheerful despite working Christmas Eve. The food was great...fair portions that were well prepared. Dinner was so good, and the staff so nice, we engineered our return to eat dinner here; on New Year's Eve. The place was more crowded, but the staff was again enthusiastic and on top of things. In the future, we plan on using Richfield as our midway stop to CA, rather than Beaver, just so we can eat here.
Review Source:We drove from Seattle to Missouri and back and this was our hands down favorite. Home cooking with care. Whatever was roasting had our mouths watering before we opened the door. Soup excellent, roasted beef excellent, the bacon was extra good. Both of our meals were exceptional. The waitress kept the coffee coming and was pleasant and very good at her job. All in all, a high recommend.
Review Source:Rib Eye. Order the Rib Eye. It was honestly the best steak I've ever had and I've had my fair share of steaks in the LA area. Perfectly seasoned and cooked medium rare; the rib eye required no sauce or condiments at all. Very juicy and succulent. My girlfriend had the Country Fried Steak and loved the gravy. Â You need to stop by in Richfield if you're traveling on the 70 to try this gem. Definitely recommended.
Review Source:My husband and I stopped here while traveling the 70 freeway. Â We used yelp to try and find the nearest restaurant, and really wanted a sit down place. Â Now, I know I can't be totally picky, but the only thing good about this place was our server. Â I went in wanting a salad. Â They advertised a salad bar. I took one look at the lettuce and it was rotten and dis-colored. Â It grossed me out. Â The only other thing on the menu was basically fried food. Â I would skip this place and just hit up the subway next door.
Review Source:Decided to try somewhere other than Pepperbelly on our way home. Â Eastern-most exit to Richfield off the I-70, and it's right there. Â Lightly frontier motif with unfinished lumber accents. Â Light green theme is rather restful and calming, after hours on the freeway. Â
Decent menu. Â Salad bar, but only iceberg lettuce. Â Chicken strips were good. Â Fish and chips were very good. Â Onion rings were good. Â Cole slaw was VERY good. Â They ran out shortly after we got ours. Â Simple beer and wine list, but hey, this is Utah.
Vickie is friendly and accommodating. Â Clean place, clean restrooms. I'd go back.
Traveling through Central Utah, I stopped at this local restaurant. Â Great atmosphere (think roadhouse), with good food, decent prices, and most importantly, a friendly and efficient staff. Â I ordered a pulled pork BBQ sandwich, with their house fries and coleslaw and was quite surprised. Â The iced tea was brewed and unsweetened, the way I like it. Â They didn't mind me taking up a table in the middle of the afternoon, reading (or resting since I was traveling) and never let my tea go empty. Â A worthwhile stop, or a good place to go if in their neighborhood or visiting the Fishlake National Forest area.
